Pure Devotion Versus Mystic Magic
King Ambarisa was famous as a pure devotee of Lord Krishna. But why, Durvasa Muni wondered, should people respect him more than a great mystic yogi like me? I will teach him a lesson... (Article by Adapted by Navayouvana dasa)

Lord Balarama and Yamuna Devi
Since the season was springtime, the breeze on the bank of the Yamuna was blowing very mildly, carrying the aroma of different flowers, especially the flower known as kaumudi. Moonlight filled the sky and spread everywhere, and thus the banks of the Yamuna appeared very bright and pleasing, and Lord Balarama enjoyed the company of the gopis there. Cooking For Prabhupada
On your average day outside of India the process for preparing Srila Prabhupada's lunch was as follows. About one half hour before massage I made a small chapati dough. Then, I chopped various types of vegetables and placed them in the middle tier of Srila Prabhupada's famous three tiered cooker. Related Articles (Article by Srutakirti Dasa)

There Must Be A Leader!
Just like in this meeting, amongst my students, I am the supreme person, similarly, in the state there is a supreme person, the president or the prime minister, so everywhere you will find out one supreme person. Without a supreme person nothing can be managed, order-giving person. This is everlastingly existing, and you cannot avoid this. (MP3 Audio by Srila Prabhupada)

Eight Prayers in Separation From My Spiritual Master
Maybe the following poem written by Srila Prabhupada is late in coming to me and you have drank in it's profound application to the present Who would have thought 30 years ago that this poem would apply to us except Srila Prabhupada? He continues to unsparingly pour his mercy upon us. He distinctly points the way out of our current dilemna. May the message in his following poem sink deeply into Related Articles (Article by Srila Prabhupada)

Television Interview With Srila Prabhupada
Krishna again came as Lord Caitanya to teach people how to surrender. And because we are following the footsteps of Lord Caitanya, the method is so sublime that even foreigners who never knew Krishna, they are surrendering. The method is so potent. So that was my purpose. (Article by Srila Prabhupada)

You will see the power of Hare Krsna movement in due course of time...
So the devotees of Krsna should be trained up both ways: not only to give protection to the devotees, to give them encouragement, but if need be, they should be prepared to kill the demons. That is Vaisnavism. It is not cowardism. (MP3 Audio by Srila Prabhupada)

The Scientific Theory of the Soul
The Soul Theory opens up a vast field for research and study based on the scientific method. It opens up the areas of past-life-recall and out-of-body experiences to rigorous scientific research and it also enables science to study all manner of previously unexplained phoneme from a new angle. (Article by Madhudvisa dasa)

Entering Krishna's Family
You enter into Krishna's family, Vrndavana family, where Krishna has got His father, mother, His friends, His lover, His beloved, His cows, His garden, His Yamuna. You enter that, that family. Then you will not have to return back again to this temporary family, which will not stay. (MP3 Audio by Srila Prabhupada)

Matchless Gifts
Like so many downtown New Yorkers, we had been reading books on Eastern philosophy and religion, burning lots of candles and incense and taking ganja, peyote and LSD as aids to meditation. Actually it was more intoxication than meditation; meditation was a euphemism that somehow connected our highs with our readings. Related Articles (Article by Hayagriva dasa)

It Once Happened...
The British were in India and held great sway through the East India Company. One of their rewarding financial `arrangements' was to arrange for monies being paid to temples for their maintenance to instead be paid as a tax to them. Article by

The Prabhupada Story--Part 1
On the occasion of his birth, an astrologer was called. He calculated the birth-chart and predicted to the joy of all present that when Srila Prabhupada would reach the age of seventy he would cross the ocean, become a great exponent of religion and open 108 temples... The Living Guru is Here--Are we Ready to Follow Him?
As far as the living guru is concerned, the living guru is there, but it us up to us to recognize him and take advantage of his teachings. (Article by Madhudvisa dasa)

Ramanujacarya, The Great Vaisnava Acarya
Sometimes we refer to the Vedanti philosophers as Vidantis, those who have no teeth (vi means without, and danti means possessing teeth). The statements of the Sankara philosophy, which are the teeth of the Mayavadi philosopher, are always broken by the strong arguments of Vaisnava philosophers such as the great acaryas, especially Ramanujacarya. Sripada Ramanujacarya and Madhvacarya break the teeth of the Mayavadi philosophers, who can therefore be called Vidantis, toothless. Related Articles (Article by Daily Devotions--Dravinaksa dasa)

Understanding the Living Force
In a statement delivered at a press conference in Los Angeles in December of 1968, Srila Prabhupada challenges the world's intellectual leaders to review their definition of what constitutes life. In the background of this body you can find the soul, whose presence is perceivable by dint of consciousness. Similarly, in the universal body of the cosmic manifestation, one can perceive the presence of the Supreme Lord, or the Absolute Truth, (Article by Srila Prabhupada)

Krishna's Loving Relationship With His Devotees (MP3 Audio Srimad-Bhagavatam)
To control Krishna is not a very easy job; unless one is a great devotee, he cannot... Just like the cowherd boys. They used to rise on the shoulder of Krishna. Krishna was defeated in play. (MP3 Audio by Srila Prabhupada)

Life Comes from Life!
All right, scientist, why is life not coming from matter now? You rascal. Why isn't life coming from matter now? Actually such scientists are rascals. They childishly say that life came from matter, although they are not at all able to prove it. Related Articles (Article by Srila Prabhupada)

Srila Prabhupada's 1969 Sri Isopanisad Back in Print
When the BBT editors made extensive unauthorized changes to Srila Prabhupada's Sri Isopanisad in 1977 Prabhupada, when he learnt of the changes, was very upset and directly ordered the BBT to return the next printing of Sri Isopanisad to the original way it was published without any unauthorized changes. Now, twenty-six years later, the BBT have reprinted Prabhupada's original Sri Isopanisad. It is very good news. Related Articles (Article by Madhudvisa dasa)
