Prabhu Ji when I try to download “Bhagvad gita as it is” lectures in a zip file. For some reason it downloads it but the zip file never opens. It gives an error message saying that we need to put something in the zip file before we can extract it.

That is because it is too big. There is a limit to how many files the server can put in a zip file and all Bhagavad-gita lectures, that is just too much. You need to download them one by one.

Everything in the album should get downloaded when you download the album. But some albums may be too big and all songs may not fit in the zip file. So download, unzip the file, and see what you have got, and if there is anything missing download those one by one. But the point is to listen to them. Not just download them and keep them…

Yes. The downloads on krishna.tv compress the files as .zip files. So they have to be unzipped or uncompressed. This can easily be done on a computer, just by double clicking on the file, but I do not know on a mobile.
If you just click on the play links that sends MP3 files so you should be able to save them on your phone.
Otherwise you can use the download option on a computer and copy the uncompressed files to your phone…

Files are too big for a torrent. We are talking about 64 GB of files. Soon we will have on DVD-ROM for a very low price.
And there are more files. It will soon be 100 GB or more.
If you can afford a computer and internet connection then you can afford a few dollars to get the Prabhupada audio on a USB stick or the DVD-ROMS when we have them.

It downloads as compressed .zip files. So that will only work on a computer. I do not think you can unzip .zip files on an ipad.
So you can do it on your computer and add them to your iTunes library and then sync them with your iPad.

Palaka tells me they play fine on his iphone. Am I doing something wrong? I downloaded the Jinzora app, but when I click on a file I just get a black screen, nothing happens. Help?

Yes Prabhu, you must be doing something wrong. The MP3 files on http://www.krishna.tv are very standard and will play on any MP3 playing app. So there must be some problem in how you have it set up. Unfortunately I do not have any experience with Android so I can not help very much but if you try downloading another MP3 playing app and try that and if it does not work find someone who knows about Android to help you with it.
So it is maya trying to frustrate you in your attempts to hear from Srila Prabhupada. Maya will always try to frustrate us in this regard so we have to be always very determined and not become frustrated. So if you keep working to solve this problem you will find the solution.

At http://www.Krishna.tv on the home page there is a list of albums. So if you click on one of those albums you will be taken to a page that lists all the tracks in that album.
The down-pointing triangle is the download link and you will see this is beside each track and it is also on the right-hand-side of the heading at the top.
If you click on the down-pointing-triangle at the top that will download all the tracks in the album to your computer in a .zip file. This could be quite a big file if the album has a lot of tracks. Otherwise you can click on the triangles next to the individual tracks and that will download only that track also in a zip file.
So you need to ‘unzip’ the zip file which is generally done by right-clicking on it and selecting ‘extract files’ from the drop-down menu on Windows or double-clicking on it on Mac OSX.
That is it should work…. But now I am checking it and it appears to be broken… I will look into this and fix it. Thank you for letting me know. It should be fixed soon… Otherwise you can purchase all the files on DVD-ROMs at http://www.KrishnaStore.com for a very reasonable price.

krishna.tv is a nice idea, but it is horribly user UN-friendly and difficult to navigate….also, there is no description of what all the records are, in detail, no idea where you want to start.

I am sorry it is not so clear.
If you go to any album, for example:
http://krishna.tv/index.php?jz_path=CD04+Sri+Brahma+Samhita&ext.html
you can see there are some downward pointing arrows beside the names of all the songs and also there is a downward pointing arrow on the top right hand side. These are the download links.
If you click on the link at the top it will download all the songs in the album in a .zip file and if you click on the downward pointing link beside a particular ‘song’ it will download that as a .zip file. You will need to ‘unzip’ the file after you download it which you do on windows by right-clicking on the file and selecting ‘extract files’ or something like that from the drop-down menu and on a mac you can double-click on the zip file and that will extract the contents…
So it is actually simple once you do it a couple of times.
