Touring India - PSS TSKP South Indian Tour

After preaching in New York on behalf of Srila Prabhupada for the whole year of 2001 the brahmacaris of the Prabhupada Sankirtana Society(PSS-NY)  took a break for a few months to go to India on Pilgrimmage. Now we are on our way back to the newly renovated temple for a full years preaching to the youths of the Lower East Side.

Here are some glimpses from our South Indian preaching & pilgrimage tour where we visited Puri, Tirupati, Udupi, Sri Rangam and Bangalore.

Kirtan outside Jagannath Puri Temple..........
Waiting six hours to take Tirupathi Balaji's darshan- but worth it!

On His South Indian tour Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu visitied Udupi. He chanted and danced seeing the beautiful Udupi Krishna deity established by Srila Madhavacharya.
Though normally orthodox Vaishnavas, the followers of Madhavacharya gleefully took part in the ecstatic kirtan outside the temple

We also took part in the traditional golden cart procession led by "devotee" elephants.

We finished our tour in Bangalore. Here Madhavananda Prabhu is leading a Saturday night Harinam in the westernised Brigade road section of the city.
