Great article. You are, of course, absolutely correct. We all have to serve. It is best if we direct that impulse to serve to Lord Krishna. In the current state of affairs, many are not happy. They keep working and try to force as much pleasure as they can into their bodies. But this is like running in a treadmill. You get nowhere. No progress is made. To use a physics analogy, you apply force, but you do no work.
In order to do work, Lord Krishna’s grace is needed. True renunciation is accepting that everything moves according to the Lord’s will and everything belongs to Him.
Thank you for this newsletter.

I just realized that we are trying to comprehend something which is beyond our scope. We cannot see the full spectrum of light nor are we capable of hearing the full gamut of sound. Rather we don’t even know what the full spectrum of light or sound is. Based on the stuff we know , we are trying to extrapolate and understand the universe. And extrapolation might not work always. Scientists have been clever in their choice of words. They speak about observable universe .
Based on many stuff (eg:the big bang perfectly explains the abundance of helium and other nuclei like deuterium (an isotope of hydrogen) in the universe.), it has been overwhelmingly proved that the big bang is the beginning. However, it just explains the formation of observable universe. How do we know that it accounts for the unknown universe too? Some years later we might discover a compound/phenomena which can’t be explained by the big bang. We would never know till we get a complete picture.
The endeavors might be an exercise in futility, but it speaks volumes about the human mind.
( I don’t know how my comment is related to the topic at hand, I just felt like voicing my thoughts)

I agree with all the comments above. I recently watched a move called This is Life, which illustrates the article perfectly. If we do not understand our constitutional position as servants of the Lord, we are bound to be unhappy as the main character from the movie.

Right you are as usual. If you look at all the worldly books out there, you will see the tendency to force the body to give you as much pleasure as you can squeeze out. There are many books out there on improving sex life, seduction, etc. Even the “good” self improvement books, though they may contain some gold, have this general tendency and don’t include God in the process of self improvement.
I think that the main key to success is, of course, Lord Krishna. We must endeavor to practice Brahmacharya in our personal lives and become examples to society. This can be done if we regulate our lives around Krishna by chanting His name, reading His words, and serving Him.
