My View on Raja-Yoga

I am surprised at the condemnation of other methods of Yoga, especially Hatha Yoga and Raja Yoga. Are these methods not as divine as BHAKTI Yoga?… Dear Guruji, I have seen in many books published nowadays and have also heard about the method of attaining oneness with SHRI KRISHNA. That method is the method of BHAKTI. Attaining oneness with Sri Krishna is certainly NOT the method of Bhakti. Bhakti means love. To develop a loving relationship there has to be two people. To become serious about spiritual life first we must become disgusted with material life. While we are ...Read More

Prabhupada’s Vrndavana Krishna-Balarama Temple–How It All Began

Srila Prabhupada wanted to feature Krishna and Balarama because the area of Raman Reti where the temple was to stand was where Krishna and Balarama played as cowherd boys with Their friends. Raman Reti means enjoyable sands. There’s a nice park near the temple dedicated to Their dancing. It has an overwhelming feeling and is a wonderful place to chant Hare Krishna. I first learned of Srila Prabhupada’s plan for a “heaven on earth” in Vrndavana, India in May of 1970. Vrndavana ...Read More

He was in a major transitional period; he had married Yoko Ono in March, and On a cold December night in 1966, an elderly ...Read More
