There is more than the Material Energy…

We are constantly being bombarded by materialistic propaganda and it is all reinforcing the material concept of life, trying to convince us that satisfying our senses is the purpose of life. There is virtually no information available to the general public of even the concept that there may be something more than this. Not even any idea that there is even a spiritual energy.

This extreme materialism has created a world full of completely frustrated people. The nature of the material world is there is no real pleasure at all. What we see in the material world is simply a reflection of the spiritual world, and it is in the spiritual world that the real pleasure exists. Of course we can get the idea of pleasure from the reflection. Just like you can get the idea of ripe mangoes on tree if you look at the reflection of that mango tree in the water. But to actually taste the mangoes you need to get them from the real mango tree. Although you can see the mangoes reflected in the water, and you can imagine that those mangoes must taste very nice, if you jump into the water and try to grab the mangoes you will end up with only handfuls of water. This is exactly the nature of this material world.

We can see the reflection of love from the spiritual world, and we understand the concept and the feelings, but what we are seeing is simply a reflection, it is not the real thing, it is a reflection of the real thing. This is the cause of all the stress and frustration that the people of the world are currently acutely suffering from.

The people of the world are misidentifying the reflection as the factual truth. And they are trying so hard to enjoy that reflection but there is no real substance in that reflection at all. So everyone’s attempts to ‘enjoy’ in the material world always end ultimately in frustration, disappointment and distress.

The missing point is the people of the word do not know anything of the spritual energy. The do not know of anything at all except the material energy. They know of the gross material elements of earth, water, fire, air and ether and they imagine that everything is produced by a random combination of these material elements…. However the mission of the human form of life is to elevate our consciousness spiritually so at the time of death we can remember Krishna and go to the spiritual world. To achieve this we must be aware of not only the material energy but of the spiritual energy as well.

Whatever state of mind we have at the time of death will determine our next life. If we are fortunate enough to be able to remember Krishna at the time of death then we will be transferred back home, back to Godhead. We will go to Krishnaloka, Goloka Vrindavan, Krishna’s beautiful lotus-shaped planet in the spritual world. There we will regain our original spiritual form and we will posses a completely spiritual body that is eternally youthful, full of knowledge and full of ever-increasing transcendental bliss. That is what everyone is searching for but due to today’s misdirected materialistic civilization they have no information of the spiritual energy at all.

Besides this inferior nature, O mighty-armed Arjuna, there is a superior energy of Mine, which are all living entities who are struggling with material nature and are sustaining the universe. (Bhagavad-gita 7.5)

Here it is clearly mentioned that living entities belong to the superior nature (or energy) of the Supreme Lord. The inferior energy is matter manifested in different elements, namely earth, water, fire, air, ether, mind, intelligence and false ego.

Both forms of material nature, namely gross (earth, etc.) and subtle (mind, etc.), are products of the inferior energy. The living entities, who are exploiting these inferior energies for different purposes, are the superior or spiritual energy of the Supreme Lord, and it is due to this energy that the entire material world functions. The cosmic manifestation has no power to act unless it is moved by the superior energy, the living entity. Energies are always controlled by the energetic, and therefore living entities are always controlled by the Lord–they have no independent existence. They are never equally powerful, as unintelligent men think. The distinction between the living entities and the Lord is described in Srimad-Bhagavatamas follows (10.87.30):

“O Supreme Eternal! If the embodied living entities were eternal and all-pervading like You, then they would not be under Your control.

But if the living entities are accepted as minute energies of Your Lordship, then they are at once subject to Your supreme control. Therefore real liberation entails surrender by the living entities to Your control, and that surrender will make them happy. In that constitutional position only can they be controllers. Therefore, men with limited knowledge who advocate the monistic theory that God and the living entities are equal in all respects are actually misleading themselves and others.”

The Supreme Lord Krishna is the only controller, and all living entities are controlled by Him. These living entities are His superior energy because the quality of their existence is one and the same with the Supreme, but they are never equal to the Lord in quantity of power. While exploiting the gross and subtle inferior energy (matter), the superior energy (the living entity) forgets his real spiritual mind and intelligence. This forgetfulness is due to the influence of matter upon the living entity. But when the living entity becomes free from the influence of the illusory material energy, he attains the stage called mukti, or liberation. The false ego, under the influence of material illusion, thinks, “I am matter, and material acquisitions are mine.” His actual position is realized when he is liberated from all material ideas, including the conception of his becoming one in all respects with God. Therefore one may conclude that the Gita confirms the living entity to be only one of the multi-energies of Krishna; and when this energy is freed from material contamination, it becomes fully Krishna conscious, or liberated.

About the Author

My first contact with a Hare Krishna was a most merciful Mataji in Oxford Street, London who sold me a "Higher Taste" cook book in 1984 while I was on holidays there. I started seriously reading Srila Prabhupada's books in Australia 1985 and by 1986 Srila Prabhupada had convinced me "Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead" and "we should surrender to Krishna." I joined the Hare Krishnas in Perth, Western Australia in 1986. Since then I have been chanting Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare, reading and distributing Srila Prabhupada's books and preaching as much as I can. That's my life and full-time occupation now really. I like it more than anything I've ever experienced before. Srila Prabhupada's books are so amazing... Even after reading them all many times they're still fresh and new. They are truly transcendental! That's it really. Now I'm just hankering to once again see the world chant Hare Krishna, dance and feast and float away in the ecstasy of Lord Caitanya's Sankirtana movement as it did in Srila Prabhupada's physical presence. Let the whole world drown in the ecstatic flood of love of Krishna!

I have brought a book written by Srila Prabhupada on the pastimes of lord krishna. I have been reading this book regularly for weeks, but just some time ago I came to know that this book is not the original one. This really perturbed me. As I have read that only his original books should be read, so I will sooner or later get the original book of Srila Prabhupada from PrabhupadaBooks.com if I get time but can my reading of his book, which is not original, have a negative impact on my mind regarding krishna and devotion to Him?

    • Hare Krishna Prashant

ISKCON are changing Prabhupada’s books. So this mentality in itself is totally offensive. Srila Prabhupada clearly and repeatedly ordered them not to change his books. And it was Srila Prabhupada’s greatest fear that after he left his body his disciples would change his books and in this way everything will be lost.

So yes. Of course reading ISKCON’s changed books certainly can have a negative effect on our minds regarding Krishna and devotion to Him. ISKCON have rejected the basic principle of surrender and obedience to the spiritual master. Prabhupada ordered them not to change his books but they change them every time they print them!!!

So yes please get Srila Prabhupada’s original books from:

      https://krishnastore.com/books-srila-prabhupada-om-21_38.html

      And read his original books.

So do not worry. You are very sincere and Krishna will protect you. So it is all OK. Just get Prabhupada’s original books and read them and your mind will become totally peaceful.

The point is Prabhupada’s original books are completely authorized by him personally. Srila Prabhupada himself read from his own books daily, he gave all his classes from his original books and he ordered the books not be changed. So we can be totally sure when reading Prabhupada’s original books that they are completely authorized by him and that they have the full spiritual potency and we will get the full benefit from reading them.

Of course as the ISKCON fault-finders point out there may be the occasional apparent error [there maybe about a dozen small errors in Prabhupada’s original Gita for example, but ISKCON made more than 5,000 significant changes to this book…] But there is no error in Prabhupada’s original books actually. The full transcendental potency is there and that is what is important.

I don’t intend to offend you, but I just want to know that do you distribute books and preach krishna consciousness just the way other hare krishnas did in the presence of Srila prabhupada. I am intrigued to know this because in my opinion such kind of book distribution and preaching have nearly ceased. How do you always maintain that your interest in serving your spiritual master and krishna is not at all deviated?

    • Hare Krishna Prashant

Yes. I spent more than ten years on the streets of the worlds great cities like New York, Los Angeles, Sydney, London, etc, distributing Srila Prabhupada’s books to the people. Nowadays I am running KrishnaStore.com and we are probably the biggest individual book distributor of Prabhupada’s books in the world there. So I am still doing the book distribution now, but now on a much greater scale with the help of the internet all over the world. There is no problem in retaining an interest in serving Srila Prabhupada. So long as we always get out of bed before 4:00 AM in the morning, chant at least 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna mantra every day and read Srila Prabhupada’s books we will always be full of enthusiasm to serve Srila Prabhupada and spread the Hare Krishna movement all over the world. We have to actually chant at least 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna mantra every day. That is the main thing. If we do this without fail even if other items are not all perfect if we keep on chanting Hare Krishna all other things will be corrected.

Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!

    Hare krishna prabhu,
I am chanting for at least 15 minutes per day as I have already said but lack of concentration is a major problem I face while chanting. I cannot give my 100 percent attention to the hare krishna mantra. While chanting my mind constantly wanders here and there, sometimes starts thinking for the future, sometimes thinking profoundly at something interesting that happened with me recently. Also inspite of these troubles I have observed gradual improvement in my pronunciation of the mantra, especially the name “krishna”. So, kindly guide me regarding this issue. What this improvement in my pronunciation means, as I have also observed that the pronunciation of this word “krishna” of many people is not the most appropriate.
Kindly forgive me if I am sounding childish.

    • Hare Krishna Prashant

You will never be able to chant properly if you only chant for 15 minutes a day. You have to surrender to chanting at least 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna mantra every day. Then your chanting will gradually increase. You just need to be concerned that you are properly pronouncing the words of the mantra and actually hearing the words clearly. That is all. The process is chanting and hearing. So if you are properly chanting the words of the mantra and properly hearing them then the chanting will work for you and gradually your mind will be controlled. But you have to chant at least 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna mantra every day. That is the minimum. You can chant more but if you are serious you can not chant less.

Hi sorry to interrupt thread .. you always advice 16 rounds from the get go ,I was wondering why you emphasise 16 rounds straight off as other devotees advise building up to 16 over number of months or more Thanks in advance for the clarity ..

        • Because these people never build up to 16 rounds, they chant one round sometimes and consider themselves devotees. It is not difficult to chant 16 rounds, even from the beginning, that is the way we all did it. I joined ISKCON in 1986 and chanted 16 rounds from day 1 like every other devotee. So it is not difficult to chant 16 rounds from day 1. And 16 rounds and strictly following the four regulative principles, that is the beginning point. Without coming to this point there is no beginning. So other devotees are just fooling you. If you want to actually become Krishna conscious you have to surrender to these simple things, chant at least 16 rounds and follow the regulative principles. That is the beginning. You start advancing in spiritual life from this point.

Namaste, this article has really inspired me a lot.
I have read a lot about the significance of chanting hare krishna mantra in many such articles. So I also started chanting this mantra. I am a student of class 12 and after some time my college life will start so I am pretty sure that then I will not get sufficient time to chant. So I have determined to chant for atleast 15 minutes every day as I am sure that I would be able to get atleast this much time even in my busiest days, so my vow would be fulfilled. I am chanting atleast for this much time for nearly one month. But I have read that chanting 16 rounds is recommended. I could not mange as i am a beginner and chanting this much would take atleast 4 hrs for me. So what should be done?
Please reply as I have not taken any guidance from any sincere devotee regarding this issue.
    Thanks for this nice article
    Hare Krishna

    • Hare Krishna Prashant

Yes. You may not be able to chant 16 rounds immediately. But you have to know that chanting 16 rounds every day is the goal and you have to reach this goal as soon as possible. You can get up earlier in the morning and in that way get some extra hours each day that you can use for chanting Hare Krishna. That is one very easy solution to this problem.

when this energy is freed from material contamination, it becomes fully Krishna conscious, or liberated.
    Please clarify.

    Kalyani

    • Hare Krishna Kalyani

It is fairly straight forward. In the material world we are contaminated but when we become free from that contamination we become fully Krishna conscious or liberated. I can not see what is there to be confused about.

We are contaminated, the process to clear the contamination is Krishna consciousness and when the contamination is cleared away by Krishna consciousness we become fully Krishna conscious…

Actually I am not the devotee of lord krishna but devotee of perumal.I am always suffering from any kind of problems financially physically or mentally but both of them were same means why they r not showing any way to get rid of miseries

    • The material world means material miseries. That is all. We can not be in the material world without experiencing material miseries. The devotees become transcendental to the material miseries but that does not mean that the devotees’ bodies are no longer subject to material miseries. No. The material miseries will always be there in the material world. It is just that the devotees become transcendental to the bodily concept of life. They realize they are not these material bodies. So the material miseries of the material body no longer affect them. But the material miseries will always be here in the material world. That is what the material world is for. Miseries…

    Hare Krishna PrabhuJi!!!

I have one question, and l be very greatful if i can get my dis doubt cleard…..
I am an animal lover and m a Lord Krishna’s devotee too….reading Bhagwad Gita i came in contact with one doubt… Lord said at the time of death u remember me surely u will come to me….so devotees always try to remember Lord Krishna…. but on the other hand a non devotee person who is always engaged in good activites like feeding stray dogs and helping them.. sheltering them…. taking care of abondaned and weak animals who are left brutaly to die….he had taken care of them through out his life and at the time of death he must be remembering all the countless number of animals he had helped in his life….. so according to BG he will become animal in his next life…. this sounds very UNFAIR…Please advise i think i must have interprit it wrong…

    • Hare Krishna Amit

You have got it correct. If someone spends his whole life thinking about dogs and caring for dogs he will think of the dogs at the time of his death and will take birth as a dog in his next life.

This exact thing happened to a great sage called Jada Bharata who was performing great meditation and penance in the Himalayas. One time he was taking his bath and saw a tiger chasing a deer. The deer jumped across the river and she was pregnant and delivered the baby deer and then on the other side of the river the mother deer died out of the shock and fear.

So Jada Bharata got that poor helpless baby deer and cared for it. He became so much attached to that deer that he was always thinking of it. Then one time the deer was missing and somehow he died thinking of that deer. So he had to take birth again as a deer.

So we have to be very careful to live our live in such a way that we are always thinking of Krishna, chanting Hare Krishna and serving Krishna. This is the practice of Krishna consciousness. To always remember Krishna and never forget Krishna. So if we live our lives always remembering Krishna and never forgetting Krishna then at the time of death we are sure to remember Krishna.

So do not think of dogs. Think of Krishna.

        Hare Krishna prabhu ji…

But prabhu ji still dis sounds very unfair….and is still disturbing me…. one who goes to animal yoni.. have to go through all forms of animal one by one coz animals r not in a position to think of god…. A human form is very precious and if a man who did’nt utilize its human form in KC rather indulges in heinous activities like killing, meat eating, raping, tourchoring, brutally murdering.. deserves to go to the animal yoni as an punishment but a helpful person, kind and animal loving person…. going to animal yoni????
In my opinion he is doing Karm Yog by helping the poor needy dogs and animals…and the way of the karm yog goes straight to Bhrama Lok..even though if he rember his pets at the time of his death…..

Please correct me if m wrong… m just the beginner..

        Hari Bol

        Your humble servant
        Amit Mehra

        • It is not unfair.

          It is science.

Whatever state of consciousness one has at the time of death that state he attains without fail.

And one develops consciousness by association. So if he associates with animals, with dogs, he will develop dog consciousness.

So by helping dogs, thinking about dogs, serving dogs, he will think of dogs at the time of death and will take his next birth as a dog.

Obviously he likes dogs, he is thinking about dogs, so when he takes birth as a dog then that will be OK for him.

That is just the way the material world works. So it does not matter if you think it is fair or not. It is science. That is the way it works. So we should be careful to always think of Krishna, always serve Krishna, and not think of dogs…

I had a question that has been lingering in the depths of my mind lately..

If the living entity becomes liberated and becomes eligible to enter the spiritual kingdom, obviously we get a spiritual body.

So our spiritual grandfather, Prabhupada, is he still manifesting as AC Bhaktivedanta in the spiritual kingdom? Or does he have a complete spiritual form ? And what are the activities the individual soul engages in when residing eternally in Vaikunthas, Krsnaloka, ect…?

            I hope that makes sense..

            HariBol

          • These are pointless questions. Don’t waste your time with this. Concentrate on chanting at least 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna mantra every day, strictly follow the four regulative principles, read Srila Prabhupada’s books at least 1-2 hours a day and go out and distribute Srila Prabhupada’s books.

Become busy in Krishna consciousness and you will not have time for all this nonsense mental speculation.

Don’t speculate on what you can not understand. Our process is to hear from the authority and repeat that. Not to speculate on unknowable things like this. The point is you will understand everything when you get to the spritual world. Everything is revealed at the appropriate time. You can not falsely speculate about these things. It is useless waste of time.

Good article, i love reading about Krishna and us to be his servants. Reading all this pleases the soul and some peace kind of feeling comes from inside.
i want to know what happened to me 4 days before at 9:35 to 10:30 i was chanting at my terrace. Prabhu ji when i want to hear Kirtan at home i have 6-7 minutes tunes of prabhupad singing mahamantra with Sri Krishna Chaitanya… and vandeham Sri guru… So, i wear headphones in high volume of those tunes, the same i did at 9:35 with chanting beads and went on the terrece and started dancing on them with chanting on beads, you’ll not believe the way I was crying,… it felt like a bird tightly tied in iron chains…trying to be free… When i came down stairs my face was glowing like never before and for 15 minutes my heart was beating fast… I think u got it. Pleseeeee let me know what was that????
prabhu ji i never lie on the name of lord, I am losing intrest in my studies, in listening other music then Krishna bhajans, in visiting other places then Vrindavan or iskcon (for darshan and kirtan) as that feeling..that aura can not be found anywhere else, and many things have changed, I realize that I am speaking in a more polite way now and one of my relatives ( I gave her 3 prabhupada books) also apreciated me that “you are so changed, mature one, from earth to sky kind of difference”,I am always over whelmed, i have even changed my aim of life from being an engineer to a servant of Krishna in Vrindavan in some way. Pleaseee reply, what was that crying scene…
    Thanx for nice article

    • It is very nice. If you are feeling more attraction for chanting Hare Krishna, reading Prabhupada’s books, etc, and at the same time seeing your interest in material things reducing it is a sign that your heart is becoming purified. So just keep on chanting Hare Krishna and reading Prabhupada’s books and do not become ‘puffed up’ thinking you are a big devotee, etc. This sometimes happens. We make a little advancement in Krishna consciousness and feel a little transcendental ecstasy and then think, “now I am a big advanced devotee…” and that sort of thinking spoils everything. We should always know we are very small and insignificant servants of Srila Prabhupada and we should be always trying to serve him and get his mercy and blessings.

So your transcendental feelings are a sign that you are on the right path so just keep on reading Prabhupada’s books and chanting Hare Krishna more and more.

Your chanting is not only helping yourself. Chanting Hare Krishna, the vibration circles around the world six times every second and the chanting effects everything. It changes the total atmosphere. This chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra by the pure devotees of Krishna has the potency to counteract all the bad effects of this Kali-yuga. So for your own benefit and for the benefit of everyone on the planet please keep on chanting Hare Krishna very sincerely and just know that the small ecstasy you have felt is just a little sample of the unlimited ocean of bliss that is available in Krishna consciousness.

prabhu ji, once I recived a mail of yours in which it was written the value of a devotee, from which I understood that the standard of a pure devotee is very very high, he is very near to Krishna. I can never think of being a big devotee as if i’ll think so everything will be really spoiled. You and prabhupad say that material world is a reflection of real world, in the same way when we get something in material world like money or fame we also get negetive attitude that “I am rich and famous” which makes us lose all that. Like this in real life also(Krishna consiousness) when we get Krishna’s love we get that negative attitude “now i am a big devotee, yogi, etc”, and that negative attitude makes us lose everything and we fall down into the material world, so we should always think and apply in our real lives that we are cheap servants of Krishna and have to do our best and more than the best to impress him and also we have to love him more than anything[love developes for him automatically, pure love 🙂 ]. So, i can never think myself as a big devotee, I’ll never be able to develop that negative attitude, I’ll be never satisfied from my services to the supreme and will be wanting to do more!!!

    • Hare Krishna Khanindra

You have to actually become Krishna consciousness, otherwise you will remain in the clutches of maya. And to become Krishna conscious you have to follow strictly the prerequisites like getting out of bed before 4:00 am, chanting at least 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna mantra daily, strictly following the four regulative principles: no illicit sex, no meat eating, no gambling and no intoxication and you have to read Srila Prabhupada’s books at least 1-2 hours daily.

If someone is not prepared to surrender to these principles at least then he is not going to become Krishna conscious. It is serious thing, we have to follow it seriously. Krishna consciousness has the power to elevate our consciousness to the transcendental platform, but we have to actually follow the process. If we do not follow the process then it is not going to work for us.

    • Hare Krishna Ralph

Yes. Lord Krishna is powerful enough to control all the living entities if He wanted to do that. But He does not want the do that. He has given us all a limited degree of independence, so if we choose to misuse that independence and choose not to serve Krishna then He has created this material world for us. Independence means the living entities can misunderstand. That is their independence. If they could not misunderstand they would not be having independence…

Krishna does not force anyone to love Him, surrender has to be done by the individual, not by Krishna. If he does not surrender then he can stay in the material world.

Hare krsna prabhujee how can I increase krsna prema.

    • Hare Krishna Subrajeet

First you have to get Krishna Prema before you can increase it. And the only way you can get Krishna Prema is by finding someone who has Krishna Prema and surrendering to him and accepting him as your spiritual master and serving him. That is the way. You can not get Krishna Perma any other way. If you unfortunately surrender to a bogus guru who does not have Krishna Perma, love for Krishna, himself, you will never get Krishna Prema.

So actually Krishna Prema is a very rare thing because bona fide gurus are very rare and bogus gurus are very plentiful. So what generally happens is if someone is a little interested in Krishna consciousness he is immediately surrounded by bogus gurus, like vultures hovering over a dying animal, and generally he is confused by them and convinced to surrender to him and then the bogus guru sucks out all his energy [money] and exploits him in many ways and then in the end the guru gets the money and the disciple gets nothing… That is what generally happens. The guru gets the money and no one gets Krishna Prema…

So Prabhu if you want to get Krishna Prema you have to surrender to a bona fide guru like His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. That is the only way to get Krishna Prema. And not just surrender, but service. Surrender means service. Surrender has no meaning without service… Krishna Prema comes from rendering service to Krishna’s pure devotee.

“Therefore real liberation entails surrender by the living entities to Your control, and that surrender will make them happy. In that constitutional position only can they be controllers.”

In what sense does the living entity become a “controller” in the liberated position ?

    -Brijesh Dani

    • Hare Krishna Brijesh

The living entity never becomes a controller. The pure devotee of Krishna is surrendered to Krishna, Krishna acts through His pure devotees. So when it appears that a pure devotee is controlling something actually he is not controlling it. Krishna is controlling it and it is Krishna that is acting through His pure devotee.

Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!

Namaste, I sincerely want to accept Lord Krishna as supreme controller. But the pain, suffering, helplessness we witness everyday it’s become difficult to convince my soul on SUHRIDAM SARVABHUTESHU…How father can see so terrible suffering of His children? why so injustice? so heartlessness? so suffering ..exploitation …?
    I am puzzled and confused!

    • The conditioned souls cause their own suffering. It is not Krishna’s fault. They have misused their independence and rejected the service of Krishna and this is the result… The purpose of this material world is suffering. We are sent her to suffer. It is full of suffering and death. That is what the material world is… Suffering and death… It is not a nice place. It is not meant to be a nice place, it will never be a nice place. It will always be a place of suffering and death. Therefore we should become Krishna conscious and help everyone else become Krishna conscious and then take everyone back home back to Godhead. We can only be happy in the spiritual world, the material world is a place of suffering and death. So do not be surprised when you see so much suffering and death here. That is what the material world is for…

Radhe Krishna, Prabhu Madhudvisa. your comment on mankind’s suffering on this mrityu bhumi is absolutely spot on. We have been reaping the harvest of our bad karma in this life and the ones before and many before. To obtain mukti let’s keep on with the Maha Mantra :
        HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA
        KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE
        HARE RAMA HARE RAMA
        RAMA RAMA HARE HARE.
May our Supreme Lord bestow His Daya and Kripa on all of us, for ever. Radhe Krishna, danny.

Well sourav what you have said is wrong because the cause of our suffering is not krishna or that he likes to see us suffer.I will repeat whatever is said by shrila prabhupada.
The point is that originally all the living entities are krishna conscious but due to material association from time immerorial we have been suffering.Krishna is fully independent and as son of him we also have got some independence but due to material association we are suffering.Just like a child says that I will touch fire and father tells him not to do so,but the son don’t agrees. He constantly says that he has to do so.So father says ok you do.Even though father knows it will be harmful but it is important to have experience for child if he is rebillious.Similarly is the case with krishna. He doesn’t forces his will on us.Also he feels pain for his eternal fragmented parts ,thats why he appears in every yuga in many planets of many universes. Also the sufferings are due to law of karma. We do things keeping ourselves in the centre. This is false ego.We somehow or other do some bad to others or hurt them. This results in reaction of our action.Don’t think that world is all free and is operating randomly.No.it has got its laws and law of karma is very scientiic.Whatever you do will come back to you.But krishna says in bhagvad geeta that if someone surrenders to me fully then I will take the reactions of all his sinful deeds. There is nothing to be feared. As krishna has promised it there is no doubt about it.So all these sufferings are due to false ego which is born due to forgetfullness of lord Krishna. If one becomes firmly fixed in krishna consciousness there is no hankering and no lamentation. No suffering will be there.Lastly I would recommend you to read shrila prabhupada’s books to get a clearer understanding of krishna as he is.
      Hare krishna.

My friend, that is the nature of the material world. That is the nature of the Lord’s illusory energy. And the more materially inclined a person is the more he is effected by this illusory energy. The whole system of Yoga, all the main four branches was created so that we conditioned soul can remove this illusory energy or maya which is covering our soul. A person in whom this illusory energy lies in thick, he is said to be mundane or dull in nature. Now the person from whom a little of this illusory energy he is said to be intelligent. A person from whom more than a little of this illusory energy he is said to be getting purified gradually. And a person from whom it has gone completely he is all-knowing.
Out of all the 4 system of yoga, Bhakti Yoga is the most natural, scientific and easy way to liberate our soul in this age of Kali. And the most powerful method of all is chanting the holy name of the Lord. You wouldn’t believe how immensely effective and great the Maha-Mantra is. Also being a Brahman, it is our duty to do regular study of The Bhagavad Gita daily in the morning. Which will naturally elevate you to a higher state of consciousness.
      Thanks,
      Manish Chakraborty

      • Hare Krishna Manish

No one is a brahman in Kali-yuga, kalu sudra sambavah, everyone is born a sudra. And reading Bhagavad-gita is for everyone, not just Brahmans. It is part of the Mahabharata which was particularly written for the women, sudras and dvija-bandhus, the friends of the higher castes like brahmins and ksatriyas.

So it is everyone’s duty to chant Hare Krishna and read Srila Prabhupada’s books. Krishna consciousness is for everyone, it is not specifically for brahmans but for anyone who sincerely takes to Krishna consciousness automatically all the good qualities of the brahmanas will develop in their bodies. So the devotees of Krishna actually become more than brahmanas…

Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!
