The demoniac are engaged in activities that will lead the world to destruction. The Lord states here that they are less intelligent. The materialists, who have no concept of God, think that they are advancing. But, according to Bhagavad-gita, they are unintelligent and devoid of all sense. They try to enjoy this material world to the utmost limit and therefore always engage in inventing something for sense gratification. Such materialistic inventions are considered to be advancement of human civilization, but the result is that people grow more and more violent and more and more cruel, cruel to animals and cruel to other human beings. They have no idea how to behave toward one another. Animal killing is very prominent amongst demoniac people. Such people are considered the enemies of the world because ultimately they will invent or create something which will bring destruction to all. Indirectly, this verse anticipates the invention of nuclear weapons, of which the whole world today is very proud. At any moment war may take place, and these atomic weapons may create havoc. Such things are created solely for the destruction of the world, and this is indicated here. Due to godlessness, such weapons are invented in human society; they are not meant for the peace and prosperity of the world. (Bg 16.9)
We find in modern warfare that attacks are made upon innocent citizens who are without fault. According to the law of Manu, such warfare is a most sinful activity. Furthermore, at the present moment civilized nations are unnecessarily maintaining many slaughterhouses for killing innocent animals. When a nation is attacked by its enemies, the wholesale slaughter of the citizens should be taken as a reaction to their own sinful activities. That is nature’s law. (SB 4.11.7)
Sometimes Kali becomes so infuriated that she indiscriminately kills all kinds of asuras. There is a popular picture of goddess Kali in which she wears a garland composed of the heads of the asuras and holds in her left hand a captured head and in her right hand a great khadga, or chopper, for killing asuras. Great wars are symbolic representations of Kali’s devastation of the asuras and are actually conducted by the goddess Kali. (SB 4.24.18)
In this age of Kali the propensity for mercy is almost nil. Consequently there is always fighting and wars between men and nations.
Men do not understand that because they unrestrictedly kill so many animals, they also must be slaughtered like animals in big wars. This is very much evident in the Western countries. In the West, slaughterhouses are maintained without restriction, and therefore every fifth or tenth year there is a big war in which countless people are slaughtered even more cruelly than the animals. Sometimes during war, soldiers keep their enemies in concentration camps and kill them in very cruel ways. These are reactions brought about by unrestricted animal-killing in the slaughterhouse and by hunters in the forest. Proud, demoniac persons do not know the laws of nature, or the laws of God.
Consequently, they unrestrictedly kill poor animals, not caring for them at all. This Krsna consciousness movement is the only means by which the sinful activities of men in this Kali-yuga can be counteracted. (SB 4.26.5)
You are trying to develop yourselves, so please develop spiritually, for spiritual development is sound development. Don’t imitate the Americans and Europeans, who are living like cats and dogs. Such civilizations built on the consciousness of sense gratification cannot stand. The atomic bomb is already there, and as soon as the next war breaks out, all their skyscrapers and everything else will be finished. (SSR 7)

Yes, it is the nature of the demons that if they make something disastrous like nuclear bombs they will use them. There will be disaster of course, that is the way of the material world, one disaster after another. So it is like that. A place of miseries full of death. We have to expect that. And just keep on chanting Hare Krishna and reading and distributing Prabhupada’s books.
The idea is to become Krishna conscious and get out of this miserable place, go back home back to Godhead, not to try to make this miserable material world into a happy place. That is not possible.
We do not care if there is nuclear war or not. If the bombs come we will be chanting Hare Krishna and then change bodies and take birth again or hopefully go back home back to Godhead. So death is not the end. It is just a change of body. So we are here and we have to do our service. So just looking at the positions of the planets, it is a very superficial thing, because for any real information an actual trained experienced astrologer is required to compare current situation with birth chart situation…
Generally, these days, actual qualified astrologers are not available, and anyhow it is irrelevant for devotees and in any case you really can’t do anything about it… so…

Vedic astrology plus the Precession of the Equinoxes is central to Hinduism. Its the Hindu dating system. One can use it as an oracle. Or, one can use it as the Hindu dating system. Its not sense gratification. There is a whole cultural context to Hinduism, correctly understood. You can still learn a lot from the caste Brahmanas. They always keep strictly to what is written in the Vedas. They have grown up with Hindu culture for thousands of generations. American devotees are newcomers.
The American air force will need to give air cover over the Ukraine. It could turn into nuclear war very easily.

Prasadam is Krishna. So honoring prasadam is association with Krishna. Like the Hare Krishna maha-mantra is Krishna. So by chanting the Hare Krishna maha mantra we are associating with Krishna. An by association we develop the qualities of the people we associate with. So if we associate with Krishna we develop all the good qualities, and become Krishna conscious…
That seems logical😏😏 one more thing….How do we know that krishna has accepted our foodstuff and he has eaten it…. srila prabhupada said that the taste would be different. I know that taste but problem is a person like me who is just starting with deity worship will do offences in the beginning. I have gaura nitai and srila prabhupada whom I will start worshipping. For now I am only chanting and reading srimad bhagavatam and listen to srila prabhupada’s lectures . I have a deity worship manual, not the iskcon one but the one I bought from krishna store but I don’t know where to begin with. I will definitely do something wrong so when will krishna accept the foodstuff I prepare for him? It might be a silly question but I just wanted to know, if u can provide me with an answer.

Actually we do not offer anything directly to Krishna. We offer everything to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Prabhupada offers it to his spiritual master and in this way, through the disciplic succession, the offering will go to Krishna.
So Srila Prabhupada is very merciful. If you prepared the foodstuffs very nicely and offer them with love Srila Prabhupada will accept them and Krishna will be very happy to accept them from Srila Prabhupada.
And you will notice the different taste of the Krishna Prasadam you have offered like this and it will very quickly clear up your consciousness and help you make rapid advancement in Krishna consciousness.

Did GOD want humans to eat animals?
No. God would like to see us all happy. And the only way we can be happy is by serving Krishna. But Krishna gives us a little independence. So we can choose if we want to serve Krishna or reject Krishna. So because some want to eat animals then Krishna provides the facility. We have two canine teeth in the human mouth. So there is some facility for eating animals, although human digestive system can not digest meat properly, so we are not meant to eat animals. But if people want to then Krishna provides them with some facility.
The point is this material world is created to give us the illusion of independence, the illusion we can be separate from serving Krishna.
So the point is we can reject what Krishna wants and eat animals and we will have to suffer the reactions to this and that is war and famine and so many other horrible things…

Souls are not created Prabhu. The souls have the same nature as Krishna. As Krishna has no beginning and no end, as Krishna is eternal and is never born and never dies, the souls are the same as Krishna. The difference between the individual spirit souls and Krishna is one of magnitude only. Krishna is unlimitedly great and we, the living entities are unlimitedly small. But the quality is the same. So there is no creation of the souls. They are eternal, ever-existing.
Of course it is sometimes said that the souls are expansions of Krishna. So ultimately Krishna is sarva-karana-karanam, the cause of all causes.
The reality is for us with our limited ability to comprehend things because we are born in the material world and conditioned by the way things work in the material world it is sometimes difficult or impossible for us to actually comprehend the very minute details of such spiritual subject matters. And it may seem to us that there are some contradictory things. But there is no contradiction. There is an inability for our material minds to comprehend spiritual subject matters.
So do not become too bogged down with these things. Just chant Hare Krishna and be happy!

Yeh, I belong to Sanathana Dharma – Sree Vaishnava.(I have to belong to some way of life) Having some gist of Bhagvatam, Bhagvad Gita, Epics and daily Karmas.
War is created because of fear of one comunity over others as its happening now. World doesnt want Islamic Atomic bomb, US doesnt want Iraq to have Atomic bomb, US doesnt want N.Korea to have Atomic bomb, China does not want india to prosper and conversly also true, Pakistan fear Indfia will attack and conversly also true. I dont know which country u belong to but your idea on pakistan itself is wrong. Hindus (bhramins, kshatriyas, vaishyas and shudras) didnt want to make a separate land of pakistan for muslims. This was a plan of the US. US and UK planned this strategy to keep India and pakistan as vassal states of the US whom they can use against Russia. To counter, Russia invested billionS in spreading communism in India and it failed. Shudras also knew how sinful it is to kill cows so they never accepted islam but were forcefully converted. For about 800 yrs under mughal invasion, there were no slaughterhouses (except inside the persian palaces) until the british came who first set up “legal” slaughterhouses because of which the first hindu muslim riots took place in India , 1800’s.

They will be respected for coming back but wont be given the same status. I am just talking about the strict rules made by some saints. Marriages wont happen. Not my opinions though. Indians were minding there own business, invaders came for money under the guise of religion and business men, then came US with UK parted India to use it against rusiia int he name of islam. And, it can be also well understood that you are on this platform only to spread Hinduphobia, break bharat bhumi into islamic states and finally to completely destroy vedic culture and stop the spread of krishan consciousness.

If you think that what is going on in India today as Hinduism is Vedic culture you are mistaken. Please read Srila Prabhupada’s books to understand what Vedic culture actually is and then you will be able to see today’s Hinduism has very little to do with Vedic culture at all.

I am reading Srila Prabhupada’s books bought from your website krishnastore on a daily basis. I am indebted for you for this. I strongly agree with what you have commented. But, do you think what Derek Wildman commented “It would be best if India and the Indian army withdrew from Kashmir.” will bring back hinduism to it’s root of Bhagavat Dharma? It will only break Bharat Bhumi into Islamic states which will lead to complete destruction of whatever little traces of Bhagavat Dharma is currently present in Bharat Bhumi. I have already read how Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupada glorified the importance of Bharat Bhumi. But, what Derek Wildman has commented multiple times is only meant for spreading rumours and anti-bhagavat propaganda.

Indians, Hindus, they have already given up Bhagavata-dharma. It is already lost in India. The only hope for reestablishing Bhagavata-dharma lies with Srila Prabhupada and those who very seriously read his books and follow his instructions and it is very likely they will not be Indians.
Although Lord Caitanya wants the Indians to do it, they are not doing it, He wants the Indians to spread it all over the world, but they have lost it in India. So what chance do they have of spreading it all over the world.
So it is useless, this Hinduism. It has nothing to do with Bhagavata-dharma. India is already destroyed. The Hindus were able to do that themselves without any help from the Muslims.
