Experiencing Krishna

Dear Brad

Hello. Hare Krishna!

Welcome to the internet and to Krishna consciousness!!

Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. He is not Hindu, He is God. He is
the same God the Christians talk about, the Muslims talk about, etc. They just
call Him by different names, that's all.

It just so happens that Krishna appeared on this planet 5,000 years ago in India
and performed so many beautiful pastimes including speaking the Bhagavad-gita to
his friend Arjuna on the battlefield of Kuruksettra just before the biggest war
this planet has seen. It is interesting that such sublime philosophy could have
been spoken on a battlefield. Have a read, see what you think.

It is our business, our eternal occupation to serve God, Krishna. So that is what
Krishna consciousness is, to return to our natural, original position as servants
of God. We have come to this material world to forget God. We want to be God
ourselves. So if you look around you will find everyone is trying to become
powerful, wealthy, etc... They want to be God. But we are not God. Krishna is God.
All we can do is immitate Him, but it is all false and ends in frustration.

The best way to come to understand our realtionship with Krishna is chanting the
maha-mantra:

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare

So give it a try. There are lots of things there on my homepage at:

so check it out and write to me again when you have some more questions.

Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!
