Krishna Conducts All Affairs of Both Universes

Hare krishna prabhu
I want to know that in “Back to Godhead” magazine (in BTGPY-17d:Universal Citizens Forum), Prabhupada had told that there should be no state governments. There should be one state only, as this would help in bringing universal peace and unity.

How is it possible, as it would create great chaos and put a huge burden over the leaders of the government? What does he actually mean by this?

I have started reading Prabhupada’s “Back to Godhead” magazine from the link that you had suggested – But I had encountered a small problem. There are some question marks in between words showing amusement by the writer-Srila Prabhupada; but some make the sentence incomplete and it makes me look like ‘fill in the blanks’ spaces. Why are they used like that?

Also, whole of volume II and some parts of volume I are missing. Please let me know, from where could I get those missing portions?

Srila Prabhupada on Book Distribution

Hare Krishna Prabhu
I am so glad to see that the donation is in the right hands and will be used as desired.
And i hope that this small service will be able to please Srila Prabhupada a little bit as he wanted this book distribution to go on endlessly, and blessings of a pure devotee is the most important to progress in krishna consciousness.
I have read from many sources how Prabhupada referred to book distribution as greater mridanga and it was the most important thing to do to please him. Hence this has become my motivation that only thing to please Srila Prabhupada was to atleast assist in book printing and distribution, by donating, if one is not able to himself print and distribute books.
Thank You so much once again for accepting my humble donation and looking after its proper use, as I was anxious as what is in my little capacity to please Srila Prabhupada!!!

Hare krishna prabhu

I have sent a very small donation in the following paypal address that i came to know from your old comments:

And have added a note :
“For srila prabhupada’s book printing and distribution”

(I meant original books)
I just want to be assured once again for the last time whether the money reached right hands, as i was worried because this is my first donation. And i intend to do more and more

So can I donate further on the above-mentioned address? Or is there another one as i am from india and for me there is no other way for donation than digital payments?

There is more than the Material Energy…

Hare krishna prabhu
I have brought a book written by Srila Prabhupada on the pastimes of lord krishna. I have been reading this book regularly for weeks, but just some time ago I came to know that this book is not the original one. This really perturbed me. As I have read that only his original books should be read, so I will sooner or later get the original book of Srila Prabhupada from if I get time but can my reading of his book, which is not original, have a negative impact on my mind regarding krishna and devotion to Him?

I don’t intend to offend you, but I just want to know that do you distribute books and preach krishna consciousness just the way other hare krishnas did in the presence of Srila prabhupada. I am intrigued to know this because in my opinion such kind of book distribution and preaching have nearly ceased. How do you always maintain that your interest in serving your spiritual master and krishna is not at all deviated?

Hare krishna prabhu,
I am chanting for at least 15 minutes per day as I have already said but lack of concentration is a major problem I face while chanting. I cannot give my 100 percent attention to the hare krishna mantra. While chanting my mind constantly wanders here and there, sometimes starts thinking for the future, sometimes thinking profoundly at something interesting that happened with me recently. Also inspite of these troubles I have observed gradual improvement in my pronunciation of the mantra, especially the name “krishna”. So, kindly guide me regarding this issue. What this improvement in my pronunciation means, as I have also observed that the pronunciation of this word “krishna” of many people is not the most appropriate.
Kindly forgive me if I am sounding childish.

Namaste, this article has really inspired me a lot.
I have read a lot about the significance of chanting hare krishna mantra in many such articles. So I also started chanting this mantra. I am a student of class 12 and after some time my college life will start so I am pretty sure that then I will not get sufficient time to chant. So I have determined to chant for atleast 15 minutes every day as I am sure that I would be able to get atleast this much time even in my busiest days, so my vow would be fulfilled. I am chanting atleast for this much time for nearly one month. But I have read that chanting 16 rounds is recommended. I could not mange as i am a beginner and chanting this much would take atleast 4 hrs for me. So what should be done?
Please reply as I have not taken any guidance from any sincere devotee regarding this issue.
Thanks for this nice article
Hare Krishna

Your Ever Well-Wisher — Srila Prabhupada Video Biography

Hare krishna prabhu
I want to know from you that in four regulative principles, it is also mentioned-no meat eating. So is eating eggs permitted, as sometimes I wish to eat a few as I like them and it is also a good source of vitamin D which in turn increases the absorption of calcium in our body?

Also, in Hinduism it is said that one should not do any kind of worship during some specific time periods like ‘raahukaal’. But I don’t think that there could be anything inauspicious in chanting hare krishna mantra and worshiping a deity of krishna during such kind of periods. Still I want to know your opinion regarding the issue.

Sometimes, while lying in bed I chant hare krishna mantra in my mind. Can this be added to my total chanting of the day?

Please give your valuable guidance and clear these doubts.

I want to know that as you have said that reading Prabhupada’s edited books can have a negative impact on our mindset, so I want to know that I have been reading this book regularly for weeks and now it will be finished in about a week. So please tell whether to finish this book or to leave it and buy original book to read.
I am also confused as to why sometimes while chanting hare krishna I start feeling drowsy and most often, as a consequence after finishing my chanting, I go to sleep. Please kindly let me know whether it is ok or it can have a negative impact on my mindset (as I have read somewhere on the internet).

On Chanting Hare Krishna Booklet Original Edition PDF Download

Hare krishna Madhudvisa dasa
I have bought Bhagavad Gita as it is from thinking it to be the original, Srila Prabhupada’s work. I have read a lot and the book is really unparalleled and unmatched. It clears all misconceptions regarding the Supreme God and religion and devotional service to perfection. But still I am perplexed as is it the original original book that i have read till so far. It is the 1972 edition. But somewhere i have learned that there is a1968 edition of Macmillan Bhagavad Gita too.
Please please clear this doubt of mine as i really want to read prabhupada’s original work and do not want to be stuck with the duplicate and unauthorized book once again( i have also bought Krishna the Supreme Personality of Godhead from Iskcon earlier and unfortunately very later learnt that it was not original).
Anyone else who has original prabhupada’s bhagavad gita is also free to answer.
The answer will really be of great relief!!!!

Bhagavad-Gita As It Is Original 1972 Edition Free PDF Download

Hare krishna prabhu
It is said that whatever mantra one might have received will be ineffective if it is not recieved from a devotee or bonafide spiritual master. So is there a similar difference in getting prabhupada’s books from the hands of a devotee or from the site krishnastore.
I got this doubt because devotees who distribute prabhupada’s books do that whole heartedly, so it will definitely be very auspicious in recieving books in this way. So i wanted to know if getting books from krishnastore is also similarly effective!

Please pardon me if i sound unreasonable.

Reading Prabhupada’s Books is So Important

Increase Krishna Consciousness and There Will Be No More Anxiety

Hare krishna prabhu
I want to know that under the guidance of Srila Prabhupada how did isckon used to distribute krishna prasadam to people??

As I have recently shifted to a new home in silliguri. Near the home is a Isckon temple.
I learnt that they are distributing full meals prasadam to people in exchange for money and not free. Only some fruits or sweets are given for free. Is this the way Prabhupada intended it or is it modified?
But as far as i know that the hare krishna devotees used to distribute krishna prasadam freely.

Also is it safe for us to join their hare krishna sankirtan, as they may not be pure devotees or may be atheists, as iskcon does not follw Srila Prabhupada completely (it is confirmed by you many times), by nature but after all it is hare krishna sankirtan????
Srila prabhupada said that milk touched by poisonous serpent becomes poisonous but it is hare krishna mantra so it is sure to act positively in some way or the other (although it will not be as effective as the chanting of devotees). And also everyone is allowed to do hare krishna chanting and sankirtan whether he is a saint or demon or atheist. Also the people who come to chant they do chant wholeheartedly wothout any want of money. That must be effective to some extent atleast.

Is it also safe to take the krishna prasadam from them?

Please clear all my doubts and correct me if i am wrong anywhere.

Giving Up Illicit Sex-life- Taking Responsibility- The Vedic Solution

Hare krishna prabhu
Prabhu, if a person who is sincerely chanting the hare krishna mantra regularly by utilizing as much time as he could get, but on the other hand, he is addicted to some kind of vice, then his chanting is surely affected unless and until he fully quits such habit. If he is committed to quit but somehow he again falls victim to such vice(accidentally), will this permanently hamper his spiritual advancement?

Can one continue his regular chanting even after such accidental fall-downs with a hope that Krishna will have mercy on him and he will, one day, certainly be fully free from all kinds of vices?

Such accidental fall-downs certainly make one an offender, but do they totally destroy anything beneficial gained by the regular hare krishna chanting?

Not By Chance–There Is A Plan

Hare krishna prabhu
I want to know that when one takes birth in a form of cat or dog or any other flesh-eating animal, then it would definitely eat other living entities except plants for its food. Also it would enjoy unrestricted sense gratification which would make its senses even more uncontrollable. It means that it would have committed a lot of sins(much more than what humans can commit in a lifetime) by the end of its life. Then afterwards this living entity would be much less likely to understand the concept of God. As a consequence, it would be dragged deeper into the well of material existence. Then why Krishna would allow us to be born in such a lower species to commit more and more sins and to be dragged away from Him?

Also after committing a much greater number of sins, how can a living entity be so fortunate to meet or associate with a pure devotee or to understand the science of Krishna consciousness by an authorized source? How can such a fortune not be considered as a chance?

Faith–You Can Find It In Everyday Life

Hare krishna prabhu
When Karna was hit with the arrows of Arjuna, he fell down then Arjuna got to know that he was his elder brother. He also mourned his death. When Arjuna saw his grandfather Bhisma lying on bed of arrows and was about to leave this world at any moment, then also Arjuna was very sad for his departure. But it is said that when one works for Krishna, he does not suffer the results of his actions(either good or bad). So why Arjuna felt very sad at the death of his very respected elders like Dronacharya, Bhisma?

Also, how can one offer his hard-earned money to Krishna? If some amount of money is kept on the feet of the deity of Krishna, will he also accept it?

Please suggest a few other ways as to how one can use his earned money for Krishna.

Kali Yuga, The Problems and the Solution

Thank you for your reply, but I had read this purport already prabhu.
I was only not able to understand the meaning of -“Activities of the introspective sage, or thoughtful man, are night for persons materially absorbed Materialistic persons remain asleep in such a night due to their ignorance of self-realization. .” what does it mean that night for materially absorbed persons?

Does it mean useless/distasteful from the perspective
of materiallly advanced persons?

Hare krishna prabhu
I have read the whole bhagavad gita as it is(1972) of srila prabhupada.
Now as you have said earlier somewhere that the process is read prabhupada’s books again and again, so i want to know that is it good to begin the book from some random chapter again, like I liked chapter 6 very much. So can I begin the entire book again from chapter 6 or say chapter 2 as chapter 1 is only description of the scene?

Or can i randomly read some chapter again to get more clear understanding of it?
Also i want to read some of this book daily as it keeps me motivated for Hare Krishna chanting everyday and prevents any bad and unfavorable thoughts from entering into my mind.

Your answer will be very valuable!!

May i know about the author of the book”Srila Prabhupada Lilamrita As It Is” named mukund das prabhu.Had he any personal association with Srila Prabhupada.

    • This book is a compilation of direct quotes from Srila Prabhupada speaking about his own life. The author is Srila Prabhuapda, all Mukunda did was compile the quotes and he did a good job of it. He wrote a bit of rubbish on the last 2 pages but apart from that he did not write a single word in the book. It is a collection of Prabhupada quotes and the author of this book is Srila Prabhuapda.

  2. Vamshi says:

Prabhu Madhudvisa Dasa.Is Jagannath Krishna himself or is just an expansion of Krishna like Vishnu,Rama etc.In Iskcon lectures I heard that Jagannath is Krishna himself, they have proved this by saying a story from Skanda purana. Is this true or Iskcon lectures are just bogus?I found no video Prabhupad talking aboyt Lord Jagannath.Oh Prabhu kindly answer my doubts.Hare Krishna

    • Yes. Lord Jagannatah is Krishna Himself. It is Jagannatha [Krishna] Balarama and Krishna’s sister Subhadra.

So Jagannatha is deity form of Krishna. He is representation of Krishna with His brother Balarama and sister Subhadra,

It is deity manifestation of Krishna, Balarama and Lady Subhadra,

  3. tanu says:

    Jai Govind

I request you clear my doubts.I understand the complexities of life processes, cellular mechanisms and other natural phenomenon cannot be explained solely by reasoning and scientific theories as somewhere or other our knowledge is limited.I am a science student nd nature lover. After reading the article posted by you regarding the concept of the origin of life,a question arisen in my mind that krishna is all powerful, then, why he designed this universe in this complicated way?,why life originated? why he made all that dna etc matter space?what is his true nature? why are we given these bodies these reasoning abilities?why krishna waited for billions of years and made us take birth here?why prakrati and purush got seperated? who were those dinosaurs etc for souls are eternal were those dinosaurs primitive and other organisms we only? are there any planet lest earth having life?why will happen atlast for we are ultimately destined to reach our eternal govind? why doesn’t he appears now and clear all these doubts for one thing is sure that if even he messages in some ways we will submit to him?why krishna is so naughty why has he made everything complicated?I know these are childlish questions but still worthy to be answered…..

I am a krishana devotee.I feel as if there is pure love for him deep in my heart. But at the same time I do believe in science.Sometimes i find myself stuck in between science emotions belief and devotion.I want to understand my Govind,I want to understand myself.

I request my friends to please give answer to these questions.I hope i will get atleast answers of a few questions as i found this site quite appealing.

    Radhe krishna

    • Hare Krishna Jai Govind

To clear your doubts you have to become Krishna conscious. Because unless you become Krishna conscious you will not be able to understand what Krishna consciousness is and you will remain continually bewildered.

All these questions are irrelevant. You seem to accept that Govinda exists, that He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Now you have to just surrender to the idea that you are His servant. And then you need to find out practically how you can engage in the service of Krishna. And to find out how to do this you need to read Srila Prabhupada’s books. And in the process of becoming Krishna conscious all your other questions will automatically be answered.

The scientists can not understand anything. They only have very fragmental information about everything they study. The information we can gather through our material senses is very limited. There are so many things we can not perceive through our material senses. So they can not understand what they can not perceive.

So instead of just speculating all these questions and being bewildered like this it is better to just admit that in our conditioned state with our very limited mind and our material senses we can not hope to understand Krishna or even this material world which is created ultimately by Krishna.

The way to understand these things is to become Krishna conscious. We can not understand without becoming Krishna conscious.

So you have to learn how to become Krishna conscious… That is the answer to all your questions. And Krishna consciousness is a science and that science is very elaborately presented in the books of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!

      Madhudvisa dasa
