Krishna Responds to Everyone According to their Desires

Hare Krishna Prabhuji,

Thanks for your beautiful and thoughtful answer to my query. It required a lot of contemplation to assimilate what you have mentioned in your answer back.

One question I have. I have understood that the pure devotee of the Lord is very rare and to meet someone like Srila Prabhupada is rare.

My question, why doesn’t the Lord flood the world with Pure devotees from Vaikuntha or Goloka? so that the unfortunate people here have more chances of meeting a pure devotee. what is the design of the Lord to make the access of Pure Devotee so rare? It is a question of a neophyte & I would like to understand what the Acharyas have said about this.

Thanks and regards

Hare Krishna Prabhu ji,

It is normally said that the mercy of the Lord is available to everyone and that the Lord is very merciful. It is also said that the human form of life is the most valuable as in the human form one can understand who God is, what is our relationship and engage in Pure Devotional Service. The highest potential of human life is to become a pure devotee of the Lord.

So logically speaking in the human form of life each one should at least get access to the knowledge that one should engage in Pure Devotional Service. Whether one actually engages in Pure Devotional Service or not depends on the free will of the person.

My question – I have observed that not everyone has access to the transcendental knowledge that one should engage in Pure Devotional Service. There are huge segements of human population who do not have any idea of Pure Devotional Service. Then how will they receive the mercy of the Lord? when they do not even have an idea or exposed to that knowledge. If the Lord is all merciful don’t you think that the Lord should at least somehow expose all the Living entities in human form to Surrender and Pure Devotional Service. For that to happen one has to talk to the ignorant people in their language etc. But I see that India has a strong knowledge base of Vedic literature, and Srila Prabhupada via his books teachings and preaching has made the knowledge known to lots of English speaking people. But inspite of all this, huge populations like the tribals, people living in forests or people who don’t have acces to Srila Prabhupadas books they are completely ignorant about Pure Devotional Service.

I wish to understand as to why? If the Lord is all merciful then don’t you think he should spread his message to all segements of the human population in the language each understands?. That way the Living Entity in human form of life will have at least the knowledge of Pure Devotional Service. Otherwish what is happening is that only residents of India or followers of Srila Prabhupada worldwide have access to this knowledge. Huge segements of human population are rotting and thus wasting their life without even knowing. This again comes back to the question how do we understand that the Lord is all merciful?

Hope you are able to get the crux of my question.

Thanks and regards

2012 — The End of the World?

Hare Krishna

Refer your reply, at the end of Kali yuga when all the people are killed then what happens to all the people who are killed? do they get liberated and go back to godhead?

You have mentioned that in Satyuga the same set of people will not inhabit, so coming back to my originial question what happens to all the people killed at the end of Kali yuga?

Thanks and regards

Questions From A Muslim With Answers From Khan

I will answer point wise each questions asked by Shaik above

1) Islam was preached by Prophet Mohammed during the time when there was lot of human killings and injustice in the middle east and so he gave various rules to lead a pious life which were appropriate to those people at that point of time. They were very sinful and degraded people that they couldnt follow any austerities. They couldnt control their sexual desires. So Prophet allowed polygamy in the religion and the right to have sexual relationships with many women.

2)Killing animals and killing plants are not one and the same. There is a difference. Animals are at a higher level of ‘consciousness’ than plants and more evolved in terms of perception of sensation. No wonder killing any life is sinful, but as we know in this material world one organism is food for another and Lord Krishna tells what kind of food that humans have to consume. In Bhagavad Gita (9.26) Lord says “If you offer Me a fruit, flower or leaf with devotion I will accept it.” Any food before consumption should be offered to the Lord and then we have to eat the remnants of it which is called Prasadam. Otherwise we will get the karma of the food. But eating meat amounts to higher level of crime than even eating vegetarian food without offering to the Lord. Meat eating is for animal life, not human life.

3) Love all animals means obviously not harming them and allowing them to live peacefully. This statement of yours carries no meaning. For that matter if you believe in Islam that we should love all humans doesnt mean you accomodate all people of this world or your town in your home. I can still explain you more things about this but there is no space here to.

4) We the Hare Krishnas have read all the Holy books. Quaran, Bible, Bhagavad Gita and everything. We dont say other holy books are wrong. Everything is correct. Its just the level of understanding of God which differs in each. The Vedas and the Bhagavad Gita gives highest information about God than any other scriptures because it was spoken by God Himself unlike the messengers of God in any other scriptures.

5) Ofcourse the Holy book teaches right things but people go in a wrong way because they do not have complete knowledge. As rightly said half knowledge is always dangerous..

Prabhu Ji
Hare Krishna

Refer your latest reply to my queries. Due to technical problem I am unable to reply from that answer of yours and hence I am replying from here. Kindly use your last reply as a reference to my following further queries. Thanks

(1) Refer your reply on the yugas.. noted your reply that is the way Krishna has set it up. I am still curious to know if acharyas/ sastras have given any comments and opinion as to why Krishna set up four yugas and not just one yuga? The reason is that Kali yuga is such a degraded yuga that one wonders as to why Krishna set up Kali yuga? and why not just have satya yuga for purification. Hope you don’t mind my further question on this though I have gained that this is all Krishna’s design.

(2) On Sinful objects and activities, thanks for your detailed reply. One question I had.. you have mentioned that in this material world there are no sinful objects or activities. Krishna did not create anything Sinful. Activities part, I can understand. But Sinful objects, like Alcohol per se is a sinful object, so then one can say that Sinful objects are created by Krishna. Would like to understand this aspect more deeply. Kindly review and let me know your feedback.

(3) Sinful activities cannot be dovetailed. Understood the alcohol part.. One question I had, suppose one is gambling and uses that money in the service of the Like, the devotee, due to past tendencies or sanskaras is having gambling tendencies but is chanting 16 rounds and following all aspects of sadhana bhakti process but uses gambling money for his service.. Is that ok?

Thanks and regards

Hare Krishna

Tks for your detailed reply. It took me some time to assimilate your feedback.

I had some few additional queries:

1) Why do we have four yugas? How do we understand as to why four yugas are created? We could as well have one yuga, I.e. Satyuga, for the conditioned soul to purify. Why create more yugas like Kali Yuga where the environment for self realization is not condusive.

2) The material world consists of sinful objects & sinful activities. Everything belongs to krishna. So why Krishna created sinful activities & objects?

3) everything needs to be dovetailed in service of Krishna. Can we dovetail sinful activities in service of lord? Like for example if one is gambling, can one use that complete money in the service of The Lord? if one is drinking liquor but at the same time chanting Hare Krishna Mahamantra, like that can one dovetail sinful activities in service of The Lord?

Thanks & regards

Hare Krishna

Thanks for your response to my query. I did not realize that you had answered my query till I read it today. Apologize for the late acknowledgement. Noted the contents of your reply and that suffices my query.

I had another query and wish to seek your feedback. It is said that one should give up all material desires and the only desires should be to serve Srila Prabhupada/ Supreme Lord Krishna. I see lots of devotees practicing “Sadhana Bhakti” and I also see that there are many advanced devotees. Sadhana Bhakti has a unique life style based on the instructions of Srila Prabhupada. But in my experience I have not come across anyone who one can say is in “raganuga” bhakti state. I have talked to some senior devotees but they say that one should not think on those lines. My query is that does one really attain the state of raganuga bhakti? does Krishna Consciousness propogate raganuga bhakti? does Srila Prabhupada talk about raganuga bhakti or did he give emphasis to only sadhana bhakti? What happens if at the time of death of the material body one has not attained raganuga bhakti and is still in Sadhana Bhakti, does he go back to Godhead? If he goes back to Godhead does he attain raganuga bhakti as in Goloka it is only raganuga bhakti unlike Vaikuntha where we can see more elements of regulated worship of the Lord?

Please clarfiy.

Thanks and regards.

Hare Krishna

Refer your response on the body contacting Alzheimer’s or dementia an early age. In such cases the body/ mind cannot function. So is it fine to conclude that such people cannot become Krishna consciousness.? Although the body is a bad bargain for the soul, it is vital to become Krishna Consciousness? So in one sense the soul cannot operate without the body in the material world, is that right? So then what happens to people who have Alzheimer’s or Demetria or go in coma at an early age? Are they unfortunate people as they cannot become Krishna Conscious?

Generally it is said that material condition cannot impede the development of becoming Krishna Conscious. But can we say that there are some limitations in human form of life like Alzheimer’s, dementia, coma etc.. Kindly clarify.

Thanks & regards

    Hare krishna Prabhuji.,Dandvat Pranaam
May i know about the author of the book”Srila Prabhupada Lilamrita As It Is” named mukund das prabhu.Had he any personal association with Srila Prabhupada.

    • This book is a compilation of direct quotes from Srila Prabhupada speaking about his own life. The author is Srila Prabhuapda, all Mukunda did was compile the quotes and he did a good job of it. He wrote a bit of rubbish on the last 2 pages but apart from that he did not write a single word in the book. It is a collection of Prabhupada quotes and the author of this book is Srila Prabhuapda.

  2. Vamshi says:

Prabhu Madhudvisa Dasa.Is Jagannath Krishna himself or is just an expansion of Krishna like Vishnu,Rama etc.In Iskcon lectures I heard that Jagannath is Krishna himself, they have proved this by saying a story from Skanda purana. Is this true or Iskcon lectures are just bogus?I found no video Prabhupad talking aboyt Lord Jagannath.Oh Prabhu kindly answer my doubts.Hare Krishna

    • Yes. Lord Jagannatah is Krishna Himself. It is Jagannatha [Krishna] Balarama and Krishna’s sister Subhadra.

So Jagannatha is deity form of Krishna. He is representation of Krishna with His brother Balarama and sister Subhadra,

It is deity manifestation of Krishna, Balarama and Lady Subhadra,

  3. tanu says:

    Jai Govind

I request you clear my doubts.I understand the complexities of life processes, cellular mechanisms and other natural phenomenon cannot be explained solely by reasoning and scientific theories as somewhere or other our knowledge is limited.I am a science student nd nature lover. After reading the article posted by you regarding the concept of the origin of life,a question arisen in my mind that krishna is all powerful, then, why he designed this universe in this complicated way?,why life originated? why he made all that dna etc matter space?what is his true nature? why are we given these bodies these reasoning abilities?why krishna waited for billions of years and made us take birth here?why prakrati and purush got seperated? who were those dinosaurs etc for souls are eternal were those dinosaurs primitive and other organisms we only? are there any planet lest earth having life?why will happen atlast for we are ultimately destined to reach our eternal govind? why doesn’t he appears now and clear all these doubts for one thing is sure that if even he messages in some ways we will submit to him?why krishna is so naughty why has he made everything complicated?I know these are childlish questions but still worthy to be answered…..

I am a krishana devotee.I feel as if there is pure love for him deep in my heart. But at the same time I do believe in science.Sometimes i find myself stuck in between science emotions belief and devotion.I want to understand my Govind,I want to understand myself.

I request my friends to please give answer to these questions.I hope i will get atleast answers of a few questions as i found this site quite appealing.

    Radhe krishna

    • Hare Krishna Jai Govind

To clear your doubts you have to become Krishna conscious. Because unless you become Krishna conscious you will not be able to understand what Krishna consciousness is and you will remain continually bewildered.

All these questions are irrelevant. You seem to accept that Govinda exists, that He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Now you have to just surrender to the idea that you are His servant. And then you need to find out practically how you can engage in the service of Krishna. And to find out how to do this you need to read Srila Prabhupada’s books. And in the process of becoming Krishna conscious all your other questions will automatically be answered.

The scientists can not understand anything. They only have very fragmental information about everything they study. The information we can gather through our material senses is very limited. There are so many things we can not perceive through our material senses. So they can not understand what they can not perceive.

So instead of just speculating all these questions and being bewildered like this it is better to just admit that in our conditioned state with our very limited mind and our material senses we can not hope to understand Krishna or even this material world which is created ultimately by Krishna.

The way to understand these things is to become Krishna conscious. We can not understand without becoming Krishna conscious.

So you have to learn how to become Krishna conscious… That is the answer to all your questions. And Krishna consciousness is a science and that science is very elaborately presented in the books of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!

      Madhudvisa dasa
