Meet Devotees at!

Hare Krishna Prabhu! Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to your service!

Here are a few more technical issues I have noticed at, which I just wanted to bring to your notice, and which you could consider (only you have some time):

1) Posts are cut off after a specific number of characters in the mobile version of the website but show up fully in the desktop version (just like comments, which do not show up fully in the desktop version but work well in the mobile version).

2) ‘Liking’ a photo sometimes creates a duplicate post of the photo, stating that the person has liked it. (I checked this in the desktop version).

3) A “Null” text appears next to any photo upload and links to a person who has signed up, stating “Say hello!” Also, the photo only takes half the space, and the “null” text the rest. (Checked in the desktop version)

4) A ‘like’ to a post done from the mobile version does not appear in the desktop version and vice versa.

Thank you,

I logged in to and it asks me to verify my email address to enjoy uninterrupted continuation but the email address with which I had opened the account was deleted a long time ago. I have a different email address now and I could not see an option to update my email address from the website. Is it possible that the email can be updated and then verified?

Thank you.

Original 17 Volume Sri Caitanya-caritamrta Back in Print!

Hare Krishna Prabhuji! Dandavat Pranam! All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to your service to Srila Prabhupada!

All glories to Srila Prabhupada’s original books!!!! All glories to the transcendental book distributors of Srila Prabhupada’s original books!!!

I would love to purchase a copy of the original Chaitanya Charitamrita, which I hear is rare and limited collectors edition. But then I did not read the Bhagavatam fully, which is recommended to be read before CC (I am reading that from a free Kindle version I got from one site). Till now, the only hard copy I have is Prabhupada Library. Anyway, I am confused between the purchase of a Bhagavatam set or this rare CC!

Hare Krishna!
Aspiring to serve you and Srila Prabhupada more and more!

The Mystery of Deity Worship

Hare Krishna Prabhu! Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to your service! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

I want to know about the dress code for devotees. Are there any specific standards set by Srila Prabhupada about dressing, for different types of devotees (householders, etc.)?

Are there specific times of day that you have to change to dhoti and other devotional clothes – like especially during Deity worship or during offering food to Krishna?

Or, can you do those activities also in otherwise clean clothes, but not necessarily dhoti, etc.

I am saying this because once I came into an argument with one ISKCON devotee, who insisted that I cannot offer food or do Deity worship to Krishna if I do not change to devotional clothing, but I was pointing to him quotes where Srila Prabhupada did not insist on changing clothes.

Thank you very much,
Aspiring to increase my service,
Hare Krishna!

My new film: Giri Govardhana Bathes in the River Yamuna

Hare Krishna Prabhuji! Dandavat Pranam! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Very nice and beautiful film. By your mercy, I just had my first ever darshan of Sri Vrindavan Dhama!

And I have ordered the Srimad Bhagavatam Set. Hopefully, this incarnation will kindly appear in my house some time in a couple of weeks. After completing the Nectar of Devotion, I plan to start reading this Bhagavatam.

I just pray to Krishna and His devotees to bless me so that I may be engaged in “nityam bhagavata sevaya”.

Hare Krishna!

The Spiritual World — And how to get there

Hare Krishna Madhudvisa Prabhu! Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Today, I felt like contacting you and say thank you for all the emails you have sent in the past, are sending, or will send in future and for all these wonderful websites,, All glories to your service! They really had a profound influence on me. I have been chanting 16 rounds of Hare Krishna daily and following the regulative principles, and reading Srila Prabhupada’s books an hour daily. I am currently in Sixth Canto, Part 2 of Srimad Bhagavatam. I also read Krsna book now at evenings. Srila Prabhupada’s books are so nice and transcendental and you have kindly provided us the access to the original books.

I starting reading them while at my college at engineering. I am at home now with my parents (I am the only child), with whom I do evening kirtana daily, although they are worldly and see TV and all, and not very much interested in KC, but affectionate to me. For a job, I am now thinking of doing further studies and PhD to hopefully become a college professor. I really hate to do this, because scientific research is not something Prabhupada appreciated (scientists are rascals), but at the present moment, I am not able to get a decent job (less time/energy consuming) in my field of study without devoting higher studies. Any money I get in my life, I certainly plan to engage in the service of Srila Prabhupada, Krishna, and His devotees.

You probably have seen my postings at When I read Prabhupada’s books, I feel nice to post the much-needed information in them for everyone. Do you have to say anything about my posts or any improvements on that and should I continue this?

I am very much fallen and am yet to come to the other, standard practices of devotees. It is really hard to do that without physical devotee association these days! I wish I would be able to render more service. Do you have any other suggestions for me?

Please send me your blessings.
Thank you,
Hare Krishna.

The Moon and the Sun…

Hare Krishna Prabhu! Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to your devotional service!

So to defeat the scientists and proving the Vedas right – it would require to get the knowledge by the mercy of the bona fide spiritual master, and then, having perfectly comprehended the model of the universe as it is described in the Bhagavatam and other Vedic texts, build the model or structure for everyone to see.

Side by side do we also need to endeavour to know the scientist’s models, as they keep on making up from time to time using their brains, to show them how exactly they are faulty? The difficultly with the faulty scientist’s models is that they are much more complex to understand, given that they introduce so much speculative terminology of their own. Their method also depends on using a faulty instrument, the telescope. Plus they lie so much about their results as well (like those at NASA). And their ‘science’ changes now and then!

Really, for the scientists to comprehend the model of the Bhagavatam at all, they have to stop being the kind of scientists they are, and start instead following the Supreme Scientist (this time – meaning one who knows things as they are), Shri Krishna!

The Philosophy of Darwin’s Theory of Evolution and Natural Selection

Hare Krishna Prabhu!

Are species that are formed by mixing genetic information like hybrids : mule, etc., also included in the 8,400,000 species of life that are possible, according to the Vedas? If that is so, scientists cannot actually create any life form but only allow conditions to take place under which they can appear?

What about viruses? Scientists say that they can live under certain circumstances (on a living host) and not live also (outside the body). I guess that is possible, since we do find information in the Srimad Bhagavatam also about cases where a dead body could be brought back to life under certain conditions?

Thank you,

Chanting Hare Krishna on Japa Beads

Hare Krishna Prabhu! All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to your service!

I would also like to make donations (monthly, in fact) for original Srila Prabhupada book distribution. I had sent a while back a small donation to test the PayPal link and had asked (through PayPal) to know if it was received successfully before making it monthly but did not get a reply so stopped.

Also, there seem to be some technical glitches in Are there plans to fix them? Or if I could work part-time on (I have experience in coding for my job but not HTML specifically but maybe can learn that) or maybe pay for it separately, to be fixed?

An Introduction to the Vedas and Vedanta

Hare Krishna Prabhu!

Reading further on DNA Paternity Tests, it seems, as is typical of scientists, they are not 100% accurate currently. It remains for us to choose the authority on knowing things – one who is fallible, or one who is infallible.

Hare Krishna!

Is it true that “It is not possible to experiment to find out whether he is your father.”? I was wondering about DNA testing.

  1. Govind says:

    Hare krishna Prabhuji.,Dandvat Pranaam
May i know about the author of the book”Srila Prabhupada Lilamrita As It Is” named mukund das prabhu.Had he any personal association with Srila Prabhupada.

    • This book is a compilation of direct quotes from Srila Prabhupada speaking about his own life. The author is Srila Prabhuapda, all Mukunda did was compile the quotes and he did a good job of it. He wrote a bit of rubbish on the last 2 pages but apart from that he did not write a single word in the book. It is a collection of Prabhupada quotes and the author of this book is Srila Prabhuapda.

  2. Vamshi says:

Prabhu Madhudvisa Dasa.Is Jagannath Krishna himself or is just an expansion of Krishna like Vishnu,Rama etc.In Iskcon lectures I heard that Jagannath is Krishna himself, they have proved this by saying a story from Skanda purana. Is this true or Iskcon lectures are just bogus?I found no video Prabhupad talking aboyt Lord Jagannath.Oh Prabhu kindly answer my doubts.Hare Krishna

    • Yes. Lord Jagannatah is Krishna Himself. It is Jagannatha [Krishna] Balarama and Krishna’s sister Subhadra.

So Jagannatha is deity form of Krishna. He is representation of Krishna with His brother Balarama and sister Subhadra,

It is deity manifestation of Krishna, Balarama and Lady Subhadra,

  3. tanu says:

    Jai Govind

I request you clear my doubts.I understand the complexities of life processes, cellular mechanisms and other natural phenomenon cannot be explained solely by reasoning and scientific theories as somewhere or other our knowledge is limited.I am a science student nd nature lover. After reading the article posted by you regarding the concept of the origin of life,a question arisen in my mind that krishna is all powerful, then, why he designed this universe in this complicated way?,why life originated? why he made all that dna etc matter space?what is his true nature? why are we given these bodies these reasoning abilities?why krishna waited for billions of years and made us take birth here?why prakrati and purush got seperated? who were those dinosaurs etc for souls are eternal were those dinosaurs primitive and other organisms we only? are there any planet lest earth having life?why will happen atlast for we are ultimately destined to reach our eternal govind? why doesn’t he appears now and clear all these doubts for one thing is sure that if even he messages in some ways we will submit to him?why krishna is so naughty why has he made everything complicated?I know these are childlish questions but still worthy to be answered…..

I am a krishana devotee.I feel as if there is pure love for him deep in my heart. But at the same time I do believe in science.Sometimes i find myself stuck in between science emotions belief and devotion.I want to understand my Govind,I want to understand myself.

I request my friends to please give answer to these questions.I hope i will get atleast answers of a few questions as i found this site quite appealing.

    Radhe krishna

    • Hare Krishna Jai Govind

To clear your doubts you have to become Krishna conscious. Because unless you become Krishna conscious you will not be able to understand what Krishna consciousness is and you will remain continually bewildered.

All these questions are irrelevant. You seem to accept that Govinda exists, that He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Now you have to just surrender to the idea that you are His servant. And then you need to find out practically how you can engage in the service of Krishna. And to find out how to do this you need to read Srila Prabhupada’s books. And in the process of becoming Krishna conscious all your other questions will automatically be answered.

The scientists can not understand anything. They only have very fragmental information about everything they study. The information we can gather through our material senses is very limited. There are so many things we can not perceive through our material senses. So they can not understand what they can not perceive.

So instead of just speculating all these questions and being bewildered like this it is better to just admit that in our conditioned state with our very limited mind and our material senses we can not hope to understand Krishna or even this material world which is created ultimately by Krishna.

The way to understand these things is to become Krishna conscious. We can not understand without becoming Krishna conscious.

So you have to learn how to become Krishna conscious… That is the answer to all your questions. And Krishna consciousness is a science and that science is very elaborately presented in the books of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!

      Madhudvisa dasa
