When I run the debugger it seems there’s a 404 error when requesting the song to be played.

Dear guruji Madhudvisa das,
I apologize for my foolish question guruji, I have downloaded from Krishnakirtan.com the guru puja kirtan sydney 1992, is that you guruji who leads kirtan or another madhudvisa das?
Hare Krishna!
Your servant,
Sadtya nugraha
It is not me, it is the original Madhudvisa Prabhu who left his body a few years ago now.
Hare Krishna
I can’t open the archives when I download them.. Is there a specific program to use?
No special program. They are .zip files and on most computers these days you should be able to double-click on them and they should unzip into a folder.
But you may be trying to download too many files. There is a limit to the size of the .zip file that the server can create. So if you ask it to make an archive that is too big it will produce an incomplete archive that you will probably not be able to open…
So try downloading smaller files.
Hare Krishna,
Dandavat Pranaam.
I am not able to download 3rd album about HH Srila Prabhupad’s lectures on Bhagwad Gita’s classes.Zip size shows 2.2GB after download, but there is no content i am able to extract from zip file.Remaining first 2 albums downloaded well(addresses, arrival addresses).
Can you please help me?
Hare Krishna Jeevan

Am interested in the contrast – or, better yet, synthesis – of Hare Krishna and Transcendental Meditation. Just like western religions, the fundamental commonalities have been obscured by artificial sectarian nonsense. It seems to me that Krishna Consciousness and TM could be mutually reinforcing and complementary, but for the recent dogmatic separations between them. TM has accumulated impressive scientific evidence of its efficacy, however, the lack of a common Mantra instinctively leaves it lacking from what it could achieve, in terms of the Global Consciousness.
Are personality conflicts as prevalent a problem in eastern religions as they are in the west?
David,
I stumbled upon your comment and would like to comment. The ‘conflicts’ or differences between TM and Krishna Consciousness is and is not a personality conflict. First of all, there is a major fundamental philosophical difference. TM, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, was an impersonalist. That is he taught that there is no One Singular Personality of Godhead. Rather, he taught that we are all God. I am god, your are god, we are all god. That we are all One. He did not focus on a single mantra because he had no focus on a singular aspect of the supreme, other then His (God’s) impersonal divine light aspects. He taught, as far as I recall, that the supreme truth is not a Person, but a state of mind. That there is an all prevading Divine Light or brahma-jyoti, and the the supreme goal is to merge one’s self into that all prevasive oneness. (at least this is the foundational teachings of the impersonalists, or mayavadis.)
By contrast, the foundation of Krishna Conscious philosophy is diametrically opposed. We understand that the Supreme is a localized Supreme Godhead, who has His own Supreme Personality.
Even though Maharishi translated (last I knew) the first 6 chapters of Bhagavad Gita, the teachings of Lord Sri Krishna, he did not present Krishna as the Supreme Godhead. Rather, such impersonalists teach that Krishna had simply attained the Supreme, he had merged with the Supreme, and they teach that you and I can do the same.
However, this is flatly rejected by the great acharyas, the great teachers, Vyas, Narad, Suka dev, the Kumaras, MadhvaAcharya, Ramanujaacharya, etc. Krishna, Himself, states in Bhagavad Gita, Aham Sarvasya Prabhavo, Matah Sarvam Parvatate, (excuse my misspelling of the Sanskrit, I am quoting from memory), Iti mattvah bhajante mam, buddha bhava samanvitah. He states, Aham, “I am, Sarvasya Prabhavo, That HE is the Origin, or Source of ALL, Everything, both material and spiritual. From Me (Krishna is speaking) Everything emanates. The wise who know this perfect engage in my devotional service.
Such statements made by Krishna and by the great sages fill the pages of the Vedic scriptures, which define very clearly that God is singular, Ekanath, means there is One God, and that God is a Supreme Person.
Lord Brahma is the creator of this material universe, under Krishna’s direction, and he has offered the following prayer:
Ishvara-Parama Krishna, Sac-cid-ananda-Vigraha Anadir adir Govinda, Sarva karan Akarnam.
He offers his prayers to the ISHVAR-PARAMA – The Supreme God, who brahma says is Krishna. He describes Krishna as Sat- Cit Anananda – VIGRAHA. The impersonalists they say the supreme is Sac Cid Ananda, Eternally Exists, Full of Knowledg, and Full of Bliss, but, here Brahama describes Krishna, the Supreme God, as Sat Cid Ananda – Vigraha, Vigraha means He has FORM. He is not formless. He has an Eternal Form that is full of bliss and full of knowledge. God is not a formless Divine energy or state of mind, He is the Supreme Person. He has His Own Supreme Form. Brahma goes on to say that this Supreme Godhead, who is also known by the name Govinda, has no other Origin, but He is the Origin of everything else. He exists without any cause, yet He is the cause of all existence.
There are so many such verses that described the localized aspect of the Supreme. An example is of the sun. During the day the sunlight is everywhere. It is all prevading. We go outside, and the sunlight can be seen everywhere. But, the light is not just all prevading without any source. No, We know there is a source, the sun globe, from which the sun light emanates. Yes, there is a Divine Light, the Brahmajyoti, but, this divine light is not the Supreme. Rather, the Divine Light emanates from the Body of the Supreme Godhead, Sri Krishna.
So, there is a very large difference in the foundational philosophic understandings between TM and Krishna Consciousness. You asked if there were Personality conflicts, but, there was no Personality conflict between Maharishi and Srila Prabhupad, so no, but, there is a Personality Conflict, in the sense that Maharishi did not accept that the Supreme is a Person, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, where as this is the main teachings of Srila Prabhupad, so, yes, you could say there actually is a Personality conflict, the understanding that God is Person.
Our mantras and prayers are directed toward glorifying and re-connecting ourselves with that Supreme Person, where as Maharishi taught the specific mantra is not important, that the chanting itself is what is important. as we can see, there are measurable effects derrived from such chanting, but, those effects are material only. They are not actually spiritual effects. Thus, our teachings, our science does not accept that the TM process is actually Transcendental at all. In reality,it is simply resulting in mundane temporary affects. Whereas, Chanting the names of God, Krishna, are truly transcendent. Why? Because Krishna IS the actual Original Source of our existance. He IS the Godhead, and Shastra very explicity states that Krishna is non-different from His Name and His Form. Thus, we worship, in our temples, the Form of Krishna. And, it is stated that by Chanting the Names of Krisha, the sound-vibration puts us, the soul, in Direct Contact with the All-Purifying Supreme Godhead. Thus, chanting the names of Krishna directly purifies and uplifts our soul. When we can fully purify our consciousness, then we can leave this mundane world and re-enter the supreme spiritual realm of Krishna’s transcendental abode.
Rather then our goal being to merge our soul into the divine impersonal all prevading oneness, we, instead, know that our soul is eternally a separate being, we thus want to enter into the eternal spiritual worlds and live eternally with Krishna as His surrendered submissive servant, friend, or lover.
Hope this help give some understanding.
