Solar Eclipses are not Caused by the Moon

Did you forget Soviet spacecraft such as Luna 17 (unmanned, yes) that were going to the Moon around the same time? Do you really think the Soviets would participate in a cover-up that would make the United States look good?

Hello.

First, I would like to say I have a great respect for the Bhakti Yoga you express on your website. Hare Krishna. 🙂 I am a Unitarian Universalist myself, with ties to Judeo-Christian ethics as well as Religious Humanism. I do my best to develop the principles of Gratitude, Forgiveness, and Love (although I am not always the best at it).

I am not the most conversant with Vedic cosmology, but if the moon is farther away from us than the Sun it makes human achievement even more amazing, for people like Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldron, and the amazing number of scientists on Earth who had to do the math and engineering to get to the Moon. It seems so sad that this technological ability, the ability for humanity to get together to solve problems, has such trouble with Earth problems like race relations, poverty, the environment, foreign relations, and immigration.

Yes, spoiler alert, I learned Transcendental Meditation when I was younger, and while at the Unitarian place I learned Vipassana, but I found I don’t do those practices with the purpose of going Mayavadi, thinking the world is an illusion, or desperately trying to avoid rebirth.

I think the point of this message is just to say hi. I don’t really need a response, but you can give one if you like.
Bye.

The Importance of Sense Control in Spiritual Life

I like what you said about when we serve Krsna we are happy, when we don’t we cannot be happy. I find it very profound, and indeed, it require Krsnas mercy and grace. May the Supreme be my only purpose.

» Posted By Jason On July 2, 2010 @ 2:35 am

If we are truly devoted we will not offer something he does not enjoy!! Indeed, he should enjoy all that I offer. He is the supreme is He going to receive what we offer? The choice is His. Offerings in His Love, are accepted by Him. His love is the only grace I can know. May he accept my offerings, for His desire in My heart. Amen

» Posted By Jason On July 2, 2010 @ 2:29 am

can’t we actually say that in fact we are perfectly controlled in our senses. We are Krsna Conscious and what we do is transcendental, not actually as it appears to the senses under the influence of illusion. But we are only under the control of our senses when we are under the illusion of ignorance. That by our mind we engage in remembering this, and remembering that infact we do nothing at all. Krsna is the controller of the senses, what is controlled by Him is perfectly controlled, how am I to think otherwise? I am convinced of His Personality, to me there is nothing more. And in fact I have my senses perfectly controlled, or I am perfectly controlled by them, sometimes I am and sometimes I am not. In reality nothing changes only the Lords Perplexing Yoga Maya, Humbly I offer worship to the Supreme Person, who’s will I desire to do, and to perfect realization, may I give thanks may what I do always be pleasing in the sight of the Supreme. Grace and Mercy and Honor to you all, for His Pleasure may we constantly be conscious of His Personality. Hare Krsna

2012 — The End of the World?

Namaste.I feel that 2012 should not be overlooked based on other sacred teachings. I dont see it as the end of the world but a birth on consciousness. A chance to get a glimpse of the higher way. Like Jesus said ” many are called bt few are chosen” For the masses this could be an alignment of consciousness universally. There are writings dating back over 20 thousand years ago that speek of time loops repeating and those beings that are stuck in the material illisions will be hars for them to focus on Godhead at the time of this awakening.Thoth in the Emerald Tablets is a great writing that should be looked at. Krishna my Lord has guided me to this info. If anyone out there interested in seeking these understandings based on the Vedic teachings, The Gita and others, please contact because the truth is all i seek and understanding where words get lost in translation. The Power of the Disciplic Succession, Guru Parampara

Hare Krsna to all of you, I love you all very much, to the limits of my very existence. I cannot help but taste the sweet nectar of any and all of these words concerning Krsna and His Knowledge. It seems so simple to me, and so complete, and splendorous. Krsna truly is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. He truly is the ultimate goal, and He is here right now in all of us, His grace lifting us onto His Transcendental Platform of Loving Service. And Perfect yoga being performed under His divine protection, and loving grace, and perfect instruction, is here and now nectar no matter where you are in yoga, you are here with Him, and me, and we are His. That is all, the all in all, grace, and love, and mercy be upon all of you, from here to unbounded eternity, and infinite expansion. Hare Krsna, I look forward to reading more of your transcendental sound and perfect love. The Lord has spoken the truth, and we hear what is said. Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare Hare Rama, Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. Indeed.

» Posted By Jason On July 2, 2010 @ 12:30 am

Finally to the author who wrote on the divine succession of the wonderful science of God. I have to say I completely agree. When you speak of us thinking our opinions are important, I agree they are not, but in accordance with that it really makes no difference does it? Krsna says my devotee is very dear to me. And in that way we are special, whatever that may mean. If I consider my speech delivered by me, or if I know it is Krsna that the truth is spoken by. Still Krsna remains constant, and nothing is lost or broken by me, unless he decrees, that I am without knowledge or truth, that I cannot see. Then though I am blind, I am still his devotee, even though ignorance may have found a place in me. I will be lost for him, that is the truth, and the truth is infallible and utterly beyond me. It only matters in the ocean of misery, of which its existence relies on broken succession, that truly tests devotion and service, transcendental love will always be. I need not see, or know, or even believe, that is the faithful nature loving kindness delivers in times of the need of knowledge and of things delightfully recieved by Him alone, of this what can i know? The spirit is what is moving is the closest thing to the truth I can see. Yet, I am a person, and I am truly aware of all the interactions of illusion as they are seen. Meaning nothing, no, not even when that very tree, has been cut down as He has commanded me. How can it be? That Krsna has spoken the truth to me, the real form of that banyan tree cannot be percieved in this world. And yet I, yes I, Me, attatched to the ego indeed, have myself cut down that vedic mystery? And from attachment freed, are the measurements of perfect disciplic succession indeed. It matters not to me, It matters very much, very, very much to me. This is the conclusion of nothing new, infact there is no conclusion just symbols of the mysterious surrenderence that has been offered to me. In helplessness He, my sweet Lord, even did that for me, yes he surrendered myself to Him for Me. Then I was able to speak the way I do, and very free. And clearly you hear me. For in Him I trust, and fear not what I offer for everything is accountable and made for his purpose whatever that may be. I have said everything in perfection just as I could have broke the line of succession. The origin of all things has always been, the divine mystic opulence, look into the Lotus eyes of the Love of my life, and find me where I will be worshipping him, or falling away in misery and darkness, as I have been claimed to be his servant, and I am thankful for each and every way, Govinda rules, and I obey. This indeed means nothing from me. I only wish to share with you the Love of God, he has shown to me, or deceived me in my self righteous eyes. You tell me what has been lost or broken by me, who claim to be a very dear devotee, and humbly I will serve the truth that you reveal to me, or I will do as I should, because yes indeed, I can see you are a Master and a true devotee. I will serve not to know the science as it is truly spoke, nor to attain the glory of things, nor to become free from that which conditions me, but for no reason, I will know, spontaneous love has inflicted me, I am lost forever in the comfort of infinite resistance and unlimited splendor that confounds my simple existence. Here I am, now. And my sweet Lord, my fufillment of desires The original Person, and so much more, He and I, together. For I have asked Him, and He shall endure Forever. He is the One True God, of this I am sure. In everyway, He is dear to me, and I am very, very dear to Him, this is the Truth, and I speak it in perfection, and perfect harmony with whatever I have chosen to do. Yes indeed, the ego, has no power over the purpose and the original intention He has given me. He himself has Me, and I according to what I have decided, nothing can challenge, or come close to darkening the Light that I myself pridefully present my mystic opulence, because I am full of desires that have dangerously attempted to degrade the Living God, of which I have known, and can clearly reveal all that is known, in ways only The Supreme Personality of Godhead Krsna truly knows. May anyone who calls me a liar, or thinks of me worthless and vile, present their judgment on me, in absolute authority, and I will answer. Yes we shall respond and you will have no defense. In loving honor and incomprehensible kindness and mercy I write you this. My brother and my friend, my teacher, and benifit. Hari Bol.

All that are conscious of Krsna, truly. Have indeed already read it. For nothing is unknown, and that is an opinion having its roots in a specific tree. I think you know the one I mean. The Vedas blessed be, are indeed the end of me. Mind bending or not, matters only to those tossed upon the sea of ignorance, truly there is no darkness where The Lord Krsna has chosen to be. Everything else awaits what is pleasing to me. Fearlessly I speak of the Supreme, because I have believed Him, and He is all I need. The End. Hear what is transcendental, for you have shown your desires to love and love you shall recieve in Me. My friend and fellow devotee.

» Posted By Jason On June 27, 2010 @ 12:11 pm

I honor you and thank the Lord that you can see. Krsna is glorified in the happiness of his devotees. Realization is the center of all things, and He is the Mystic of Opulence, there is no real need to divide yourself from what is easily seen. The truth is One and Diversity is given for the enjoyment of the Supreme, the original, even you and me. Glory and Honor for ever. Krsna has chosen to love you, and now you see.

» Posted By Jason On June 27, 2010 @ 12:10 pm

Knowledge is simple, complete, and of no consequence in the End of Karma Yoga. Or the Yoga of the coming into knowing. For pure devotional service in transcendental loving service is the Highest, utterly beyond concept, and simply performed in harmony with the perfection of the intracacies of action whatever they my be. I this mean nothing and everything to Me, as it is, shall it be. To speak any further, would complicate what is already easy. So as I speak, Hear the Truth, dont listen to me. I know nothing, I have cut down that tree. The vedic dynamic light, Loving his every………sorry the words have left me. Krsna is all that I need. I myself am free, attatchment to anything is attatchment to beauty in spiritual reality. In this way, arise, and do please walk with me. I will surely protect those who love me. I thought I heard it said, Look and see.

» Posted By Jason On June 27, 2010 @ 12:03 pm

What you say is true, because you believe it for the pleasure of the Lord, but I know as the Lord has said, I am the supreme enjoyer, so I say, be enjoyed for it is His command, and the most supreme graceful gift, you are free to please the Lord in anyway you can. The Lord is supreme, He is the allower and permiter and dear friend, Love Him, for real, free from false fear, for he is your shelter, do as you will, that is the law. Offering all unto the Lord, o conquerer of wealth. Surrender utterly unto Him, and there shall be nothing left to know, and sin and fear will be overcome, for he is the doer, and the field of activities belong to Him, all things are complete! In the original vedic tradition, just beginning. Spontaneous love, unspoken. Hari bo

Everything is Krsna, so all I can do is chant and be krsna concious. There is no other way except in ignorance so called by the ignorant. I am the origin of sound and the result of faithful devotional service, and the gift of surrenderence, all things as they are, are for Me, says my devotee, who may be wrong or may be right, he doesnt care for the Lord is the end of knowledge and the goal and the fire of the sacrifice, and the sacrificial offering, My gift to you, and I know where I speak. Krsna Krsna Hari Hari OM.

We Are An Imitation Of Krishna

One question that is bugging me:

Food is eaten but not eaten (in materialistic form) and purified at same time, is this applicable for intoxication (drinks) as well?

Also is it okay to consume intoxication post chanting gods name?

Question isn’t to make a mockery , just curious nature of mind.

NASA Images Discover Ancient Bridge between India and Sri Lanka

Thanks for the peace-making comment, but it is pointless. If prophets from God all disagreed with one another–some preaching Islam, some Christianity, some Hinduism, etc., then they were not all telling the truth. If they came from the same God they would teach the same things about God. Claiming that all religions are true is popular these days, but it is senseless, because all religions disagree with one another. There aren’t many contradictory truths. There is truth, and there are lies. Many lies; one truth. If that was not true, science would be impossible, so the test you mentioned would not work.

Forensic tests would not prove anything concerning the stones. If they were local or from another part of the planet, it would not prove they formed a bridge or that they were part of some mythical miracle. Rocks that float can travel by water on their own through ocean currents and rivers and floods, etc. Also, even if they formed a bridge, this would prove nothing other than the fact that a bridge existed. This does not prove that some mythical hindu demon-god built it. The Egyptians could say that Horus build the great Pyramid. I could claim that King Kong built the Empire State Building. That doesn’t make it true.

The argument isn’t over whether a bridge existed or not. But the satellite photo that is shown is a natural occurrence, not a man-made bridge. This article is complete bullshit, including the claimed “1,750,000” year old inhabitants of Sri Lanka, which no scientist would vouch for. But uneducated, brainwashed people who read this garbage do not do their own research. They believe it because they want to believe it, and no common sense can convince them otherwise. That is why they believe that floating rocks are magical and that talking pictures of Sai Baba are miraculous: their primitive, uneducated minds do not understand the concept of buoyancy or computer effects.

Willful ignorance is their own problem. If they choose to use the brain God gave them, they would figure this stuff out.

» Posted By Jason On February 11, 2010 @ 6:58 pm

This is yet another example of Hindus trying to prove scientifically that their foolish religion is legitimate. But what is really happening is that the primitive, uneducated Indian people cannot understand how science works so they assume everything is the result of their gods and magic and demons.

Please, use your head. Think. A BOAT is far heavier than many rocks, yet it FLOATS! WOW! MAGIC! WEIGHT is not what causes a rock to sink. Volcanic rocks have AIR POCKETS. Holding air makes them buoyant. That makes them float. I can do the same thing with the rocks in my garden because they are volcanic.

Have you ever put a coconut in the water? They must be magical and created by hindu gods because they float as well. So does wood. A giant tree that weighs more than a house will also float, being much heavier than most rocks.

I beg you to please get an education and learn how to think logically.

» Posted By Jason On August 14, 2009 @ 1:17 am

Govind, please educate yourself before you speak. There is no law of physics that says “If a stone was floating in the past it must be floating today.” If the hindus interpreted the floating stones as floating magically, then it would be a miracle and thus outside of the laws of science altogether. But if they were floating, as volcanic rocks do because they contain pockets of air, then they may be floating today unless they have filled with water and sunk.

Why do indians keep trying to sound scientific and logical, as if to legitimize hinduism, when hinduism itself is unscientific and illogical? If you are going to use science then quote an actual scientific law, not one that you invented.

Sex–The Highest Pleasure in a Rascal Culture

This guy is a fool for saying that all westerners/white people are fools or rascals because they enjoy sexual pleasure and they don’t know what true knowledge is. Some of what he preaches is true, but c’mon, no need to label ALL westerners stupid, that is just stupid in itself thinking you know every person and how they work. The sexual force is probably one of the most powerful and is the reason why humans continue to exist.

You will be “spiritually advanced” if you don’t let your ego control you.

Spontaneous Love of Godhead [1944 BTG Article]

Then it is true, pure loving transcendental devotion to the Lord is all that there is. Why should fear exist here, at all? Even the lack of fear is nothing at all, when afterall, Krsna is all in all. OM

The Spirit of Bhagavad Gita

Hi can you tell me why there are so many religions for one (supreme) God only and how can you know that what is written in the Bhagvada Gita is true.Did God come and reveal it to you (no offense though)

» Posted By Jason On May 19, 2012 @ 4:44 pm

Madhudvisa dasa,
My name is Jason. And I have been studying the Gita for 15 years. I have read some of your letters to people, and just want to offer my respect to you as a recognition of the happiness you seek to help people find according to Krsnas Pleasure. I would like to hear your opinion, on a deep spiritual awareness. I am thouroughly convinced that the gita speaks the words of Krsna, that they are no different from him in fact. Can one attain perfection by direct realization of the truth, by the truth in already completed surrenderence caused by pure faith in his commands? And in a moment of time, even now, transcend and live with him by his infinite grace, and supreme power, ability, and loving kindness. Free from delusions of all types, of all the modes and interactions of material nature attain the supreme goal, by recognition of the truth, that there is nothing to attain, we actually are in His Loving Service. The End. Knowledge Over! Please give me your loving opinion on this. Thankyou and Hari Bol

    Hare krishna Prabhuji.,Dandvat Pranaam
May i know about the author of the book”Srila Prabhupada Lilamrita As It Is” named mukund das prabhu.Had he any personal association with Srila Prabhupada.

    • This book is a compilation of direct quotes from Srila Prabhupada speaking about his own life. The author is Srila Prabhuapda, all Mukunda did was compile the quotes and he did a good job of it. He wrote a bit of rubbish on the last 2 pages but apart from that he did not write a single word in the book. It is a collection of Prabhupada quotes and the author of this book is Srila Prabhuapda.

  2. Vamshi says:

Prabhu Madhudvisa Dasa.Is Jagannath Krishna himself or is just an expansion of Krishna like Vishnu,Rama etc.In Iskcon lectures I heard that Jagannath is Krishna himself, they have proved this by saying a story from Skanda purana. Is this true or Iskcon lectures are just bogus?I found no video Prabhupad talking aboyt Lord Jagannath.Oh Prabhu kindly answer my doubts.Hare Krishna

    • Yes. Lord Jagannatah is Krishna Himself. It is Jagannatha [Krishna] Balarama and Krishna’s sister Subhadra.

So Jagannatha is deity form of Krishna. He is representation of Krishna with His brother Balarama and sister Subhadra,

It is deity manifestation of Krishna, Balarama and Lady Subhadra,

  3. tanu says:

    Jai Govind

I request you clear my doubts.I understand the complexities of life processes, cellular mechanisms and other natural phenomenon cannot be explained solely by reasoning and scientific theories as somewhere or other our knowledge is limited.I am a science student nd nature lover. After reading the article posted by you regarding the concept of the origin of life,a question arisen in my mind that krishna is all powerful, then, why he designed this universe in this complicated way?,why life originated? why he made all that dna etc matter space?what is his true nature? why are we given these bodies these reasoning abilities?why krishna waited for billions of years and made us take birth here?why prakrati and purush got seperated? who were those dinosaurs etc for souls are eternal were those dinosaurs primitive and other organisms we only? are there any planet lest earth having life?why will happen atlast for we are ultimately destined to reach our eternal govind? why doesn’t he appears now and clear all these doubts for one thing is sure that if even he messages in some ways we will submit to him?why krishna is so naughty why has he made everything complicated?I know these are childlish questions but still worthy to be answered…..

I am a krishana devotee.I feel as if there is pure love for him deep in my heart. But at the same time I do believe in science.Sometimes i find myself stuck in between science emotions belief and devotion.I want to understand my Govind,I want to understand myself.

I request my friends to please give answer to these questions.I hope i will get atleast answers of a few questions as i found this site quite appealing.

    thankyou!
    Radhe krishna

    • Hare Krishna Jai Govind

To clear your doubts you have to become Krishna conscious. Because unless you become Krishna conscious you will not be able to understand what Krishna consciousness is and you will remain continually bewildered.

All these questions are irrelevant. You seem to accept that Govinda exists, that He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Now you have to just surrender to the idea that you are His servant. And then you need to find out practically how you can engage in the service of Krishna. And to find out how to do this you need to read Srila Prabhupada’s books. And in the process of becoming Krishna conscious all your other questions will automatically be answered.

The scientists can not understand anything. They only have very fragmental information about everything they study. The information we can gather through our material senses is very limited. There are so many things we can not perceive through our material senses. So they can not understand what they can not perceive.

So instead of just speculating all these questions and being bewildered like this it is better to just admit that in our conditioned state with our very limited mind and our material senses we can not hope to understand Krishna or even this material world which is created ultimately by Krishna.

The way to understand these things is to become Krishna conscious. We can not understand without becoming Krishna conscious.

So you have to learn how to become Krishna conscious… That is the answer to all your questions. And Krishna consciousness is a science and that science is very elaborately presented in the books of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!

      Madhudvisa dasa
