The Most Confidential Knowledge

Hare Krishna Madhudvisa Swamijii!

Kindly accept my humble Pranam!.

I have some doubt about Bhagavat Gita, Since its very difficult to understand many chapters even in our regional language, is it necessary for a devotee who is in lowest stage of spiritual life like me, to study and understand is must to qualify for spiritual advancement..?

I read Srimad Bhagwatam, even many chapters (2nd chapter conversation between Sri Brahma and his son Naradha Muni) , I could not understand, for example; expansion of Universe, Lord spiritual potencies, confidential knowledge about atma, paramatma etc.

For me Bhakti yoga I could follow that too some extent…..

My doubt is, we have parents, we love our parents our father, why? we love him because of him we are here in this material world..We don’t love him not because of his wealth, knowledge, post, any qualifications he has.. We love him simply because he feed us and take care of us, etc… Like this; devotee is not bothered, Krishna is controller of demi Gods, how he created this world , what is maya, how he is controlling universe and beyond etc.. etc… devotee worship Krishna, because he knows Krishna is Supreme Personality of Godhead, that’s all..

His only focus is how to go back to him .. nothing else.. either remembering him always, hearing his past times, chanting holy names etc…We have history of uneducated bhaktas, who can’t read or write… but they attained his lotus feet..

Kindly clear my doubt Swamiji

Krishna Says “I am…”

Hare Krishna!

Kindly accept my Pranam Swamiji!

I have read Srimad Bhagavat Gita, many times; I sincerely admit and I do not understand many chapters,…it is beyond my intelligent;. If you go through Indian History, Bhakti movement in North & South India, prominent devotees of Lord Krishna did not go through Bhagavat Gita, most of them were illiterate,; what they know was only how to please Krishna with their pure love; out of love they cried, thinking of him all the time and they gave up their material comforts!

Yes, with our small intelligence we can’t understand “supreme” even Krishna has explained his personal & impersonal forms….. Attaining knowledge/understanding Gita won’t give you samadhi or excellent devotee… Unless & until you do not know how to love/surrender to Krishna.

You may attain good fame in this material world by giving “Gita lessons by giving beautiful lectures; I have seen In India many are giving spiritual lectures; in real life they are just ordinary people; they are doing for money..fame..etc. Rather understanding Krishna’s potencies, be like a child, child only knows his/mother loves him or her; whatever happens mother will take care…give her/him protection! A child has nothing to do with his Mom’s beauty, qualification whether she is holding high position in the society! Even if she is a prominent personality; for him/her she is his Dear Mother” nothing else… Let the world respect her position, praise her beauty etc…For her son/daughter what does it matter?

For me Krishna is my beloved Friend, I have nothing to do with his super natural powers; potencies etc…. Yes, as per instructions given by Our Gurudeva Prabhupadaji, how to surrender/please him so that I will be with him after this birth….Only chanting is simple way, by chanting I feel am always thinking of Krishna where ever I am!

One real incident I want to mention here swamiji;

It happened almost 20 years back; one Swamiji was giving Bhagavat Gita lecture; one poor farmer was sitting in the front row; after everybody left, Swamiji finds the farmer was sobbing! It happend daily! The Finally on last day, he asked the Farmer, I noticed you weeping daily! even the crowd left I see you sitting firmly and weeping!? Are you moved by my Gita Lecture? (He is famous for his Bhagavat GIta lectures in India)

The poor farmer replied, Maharaj, I have no intelligence to understand your sophisticated language, and difficult sanskrit slokas with your nice explanation, I am a stupid farmer; I understood nothing from your lecture; but one thing I understood is; Lord Krishna delivered Gita in the battle field; he was Arjuna’s Sarathi (Driver) he was sitting in the front, Arjuna was sitting in the back; Krishna has to turn his face back towards Arjuna to deliver Gita; he had to sit in that position for many hours! I felt the pain, Alas my Krishna’s neck would have severe pain!? For 18 days he must be suffered from neck pain! That is why I was weeping! ! Shocked by this reply, the famous Swamiji fell on the poor farmer’s feet, and cried; See, I am giving Bhagavat Gita lecture for so many years; what use; I have no love, devotion towards Lord; what is the use of my knowledge? Your devotion has beaten my knowledge!…. Even while writing, my eyes are filled with tears! I

This is what Krishna expect from us; he never admire knowledge without devotion! Love/devotion towards Krishna we should concentrate! I am not telling Gita reading /understanding is not necessary;;;; The bhakti Marg, how to love God; our Gurudeva is giving guidance through his books with simple easy language even the little intelligent persons like me can understand this! I am very grateful to you for giving Gurudeva’s books!

Kindly forgive me if you find the above is anything abusive!

A fish is just a fish…

Hare Krishna!

Pranam Swamiji,

Thanks a lot for your kind reply/encouragement. All my doubts got cleared; now I realised my thinking was wrong. Thanks for further elaborate explanation posted under the topic “A fish is just a fish”.

I humbly tell you that sincere prayers are always answered; that too instantly. This is my experience, after sent my frustrated mail to your website, after two days, I was casually surfing web, in one of Indian website, under Hindu religion, I saw an article posted along with Lord Krishna’s photo to my surprise, I firmly believe, Krishna made to go through, I got my reply; yes, my Krishna has answered my prayers. I got immediate relief from my grief sicken relief.

You will wonder, whatever you have written as a reply to me, its brief, and touched my heart and gave immense peace and happiness and I humbly present before you as follows;

“ You left me long ago, you forgot me, but I never forgot you. Lifetime after Lifetime you tried to enjoy material world; but I was always in your heart. Waiting for you to turn to me. You suffered storms, You suffered diseases, you suffered broken hearts, sometimes you enjoyed wealth, prosperity, high education. But eventually it was all taken away.

Didn’t you feel separation for me as I felt separation for you at every minute?? And then finally you turned to me and you gave your life to me and I saw how difficult it was in this material world for you to turn to me and to be faithful.. You were ridiculed, you were persecuted, you were criticized, sometimes you had to be. But I was always with you, I was there to protect you. And now finally, you have returned home. I WELCOME YOU.”

The above is really a booster for every devotee and “Awakening Call from our Dear Lord. I am really grateful to you Swamiji, slowly I saw my worries, start vanishing, I start concentrating in chanting, as you have written the world itself is a prison, you won’t find happiness, peace by running after material things.. We should become Krishna Conscious without fail.

Pranam.

Krishna Assures Arjuna that he is the greatest yogi

Hare Krishna!

Pranam Swamiji,

In Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna assures us that those who follow Bhakti-Yoga is highest yogi. While following Bhakti-Yoga, most of the devotees are severely put on test by Bhagavan. We have many example for this, from Prahalada, Meera Bhai, Janabhai, Namdev and our Gurudev, also undergone many difficulties in America before establishing Krishna Consciousness Movement. It is a good sign, that devotee can understand that he is progressing in spiritual path.

It is mentioned by our Gurudev, Srila Prabhupada, that sometimes Krishna’s ashirwad ie. Blessing is otherwise. Krishna will take everything from you; because of this there is a danger that a devotee may become atheist. Even I have witnessed that Devotees are suffering either financially or having problems in personal life.

Whereas, those who do not think of God/Krishna enjoying success, fortune and holding power/position they ill treat others and I am witnessing they are very successful in their personal as well as in public life.? Why Krishna is silently watching them?

Swamiji, Even in my case I am also facing lot of tribulations in life and failure in my carrier and injustice is done to me which affects my spiritual life; instead of remembering Krishna, I started thinking of my problems all the time. I am not even in infancy stage of my spiritual life, why Krishna is doing this? Why is he discouraging those who worship him with faith & devotion even in their early stage?

I am very much disappointed Swamiji. I have no other go; I pray to him what to do? I hope through your kind guidance he will encourage and bless me.

Waiting for your kind guidance and encouragement Swamiji!

ISKCON: From the Absolute Truth to Insanity…

Hare Krishna!

Pranam Swamiji,

After reading your article ISKON from absolute truth to insanity. It is very unfortunate that movement started by our Guru Sri Prabhupada is not moving right direction.

I humbly want to convey you that it is not only the position of ISKON, it is happening with other so called organisation which is very proud of propagating Krishna Conciousness Movement other than ISKON. They have many branches all over India & I think in abroad also. I narrate the following which I witnessed Swamiji.

I go to nearby …….. Mutt temple where I live. Last week they have organized Srimadh Baghvat Katha, (about Sri Krishna’s past times etc), one Swamiji from Vrindavan was delivering lecture. The programme was organised for 5 hours daily for 7 days. Due to domestic work, I attended last 2 days. Both days they reduced the timing of lecture and organised dance programme 1st day there was a drama played by children in the temple itself. Last day, one young foreign lady performed Indian Classical dance due to this, the swamiji briefed his lecture (surprisingly not impressive ie lack of Bhakti Rasa) and did not explained Sudhama story, prayers by Rukmani and Krishna’s family, Udhava prayers, Kunti prayer and how Lord Krishna left this world.I was very much upset, above all, all men including sanyasis in the mutt, enjoyed her dance very much and every men including young sanyasis of the Mutt catching her on their mobile.. I was very much shocked how they are allowing dance etc inside the temple? I did not get any spiritual boost from Bhagvat Katha which I usually get after listening rather I felt myself in theatre.

After this, the Krishna prasada served I came to know that which was prepared by Pvt.Caterers (prepared outside which was luxurious than usually served) usually they prepare in the Mutt itself and they have changed this system also. Hari bol! why people like me visit temple? To improve our spiritual life and get blessings/advise from Krshna devotees/Sanyasis. But nowadays, temples become theatres, commercial centres.

Pray to Lord Krishna to show them right path.

I humbly ask you to forgive me whatever I have written is hurting you. Because Vaishnava Aparatha is greatest sin, which Lord Krishna never forgive.

Just what is Samadhi?

Hare Krishna!

Pranam Swamiji,

I humbly want you to clear my doubts about samadhi. According to advaitha philosophy, ie. mayavadhis, samadhi is attained by controlling your senses, renouncing family life, in a remote place do meditation constantly you will attain samadhi, ie you will be united in Brahman or realise the truth. Only advaitha sanyasis are called Brahma Gyani like Sri Sankara Bhagavatpada, Sri Ramana Maharashi, Sri Ramakrishna Paramhamsa only treated as Brahma Gyanis, ie. who attained highest position or samadhi in spiritual path. For their statement they justify Srimat Bhaghavat Gita, “Lord Krishna himself told after many births, controlling his senses and realise/ see me everywhere, anywhere, within himself and others are Brahma Gyani and they are dear to me.”

So I have seen in India, it is misinterpreted that so many paashandis ie. fake gurus, preaches that I am God; I have attained samadhi, you are also God and make you realise how to know that you are also God.. For them our Krishna Conscious is like joke, You dress up doll (Sri Krishna’s Murthy) nicely with costly ornaments, prepare delicious food items and you only eat..Not your so called God come live and eat. Do you think is he happy with all these? No, Instead of this feed the poor, construct hospital, provide educational facility for poor, donate money/cloth for poor. God will be happy, by this way only you will become God/unite God.

Kindly guide me Swamiji, your answer will be nice reply to those who disapprove Bhakti Marg,ie Krishna Consciousness,…

Pranam.

Guru: Everyone is lying to you…

Hare Krishna!

Pranam Swamiji,

Thanks for posting your spiritual journey, the difficulties you faced, your determination, perseverances, which is really inspirational to all Krishna devotees who wants to practice real Krishna Consciousness.

Same thing I too facing Swamiji, that is why I earlier told since it is very difficult to find a real devotee of Lord Krishna as a Guru after our Guru Sri Prabhupada, one should not think that our Guru is not physically present. See in your case, how he blessed you and guided you!. If a devotee who is sincere and good enough to be a real devotee/guru like you who sincerely search for a Guru, for initiation, Lord Krishna definitely help him and show the path to reach him and guide him to a real guru.

Once again I pay my pranam to you Swamiji.

Hare Krishna!

Pranam Swamiji,

It very unfortunate and painful that after our Guru Shri Prabhupada Maharaj, ISKON could not find, a qualified, devotee Guru to guide. However, a devotee should not bother about all these politics. Our Gurudev is not physically present but he is living in his books and guiding us how to improve our spiritual life and how to become sincere devotee of Lord Krishna.

Here I humbly want to convey you that my every prayer first I remember our Sri Prabhupada then I start doing chanting and simply following the instructions given by him. I visit Gaudiya temple nearby every weekend, I participate in arti, listen spiritual lectures delivered by the sanyasis in the mutt but I maintain some distance. Even their sidhantha is same; they follow Sri Narayana Goswami as their Guru.

As far as I am concerned my vision is clear, My Guru is only Sri Prabhupada, and his teachings changed my life, and he opened my eyes and showed the real path . It does not make me any difference whether he is physically present or not. His blessings/teachings are with me; I find my doubts are cleared,.

I am very grateful to read nice letters from you Prabhuji.

Everything is in Srila Prabhupada’s Books!

Hare Krishna!

Pranam Swamiji,

As you have mentioned, I feel his personal association while reading Our Guru Srila Prabhupada; yes he is living in his books. I feel, I am very much blessed to read his books;(thanks once agin to you Swamiji) his simple writing quality to attract readers, giving appropriate explanations from vedas etc about Krishna Conciousness. Only problem is, I started reading his book the “Nector of Devotion” I am deeply absorbed/interest, it makes me to read the same book again and again with same curiacity when I started reading for the 1st time. It is very diffcult to resist me;.

I have never find this type of experience in my life time;. When he explains about Lord Krishna’s physical features, the reader will get Krishna’s darshan, in his mind; when he explains, about krishna’s any bal leela, I personally feel, Krishna is doing in front of my eyes of course not visually but mentally. Through his books, he brings Krishna’s darshan to those who reads them.

All the glory goes to our Great Guru Sri Prabhupada.

How to Control the Mind?

Hare Krishna!

Pranam Swamiji,

Thank you very much for your kind response. I was surprise to read your mail that I have not read all of Srila Prabhupada’s books. It is true; few years back only I came to know about ISKON and Prabhupada. As a south Indian, I know about Sri Ramanunjacharya; a great Vaishnava Saint who lived in South India 1000 years back. In south Sri Vishnu aradana (worship) is prominent; not Lord Krishna. Krishna worship is very few; they worship Krishna along with his wives Rukmani & Satyabha not with Radha.

Living in Delhi, ISKON temple is quiet far away from my house and I am able to visit once in a year. 3 years back, Gaudiya Mutt Temple was built nearby our house. Since then I am a regular visitor and I visit every weekend. My motive is I should worship /practice Krishna Consciousness, whether it is Gaudiya Mutt or ISKON Temple. They consider Sri Narayana Gosvami as Guru (he is not physically present now). But they have kept Sri Prabhupada’s photo also. I participate arthi, bhajan etc. Its really great experience.

I will be grateful to you if you guide me where I will get atleast basic teachings of Prabhupada’s books? In Gaudiaya Mutt, I am not finding any books of Gurudev. All are Sri Narayana Gosvami’s books; is there any difference between their teachings?

Please guide me Swamiji.

Hare Krishna !

Pranam Swamiji,

Another Excellent mail from you; its really helpful to devotees who want to make progress in spiritual path. I humbly share my experience and also wondering why am not still making remarkable progress in Krishna Bhakti?

Living in India in a humble background, since my childhood, I am blessed to worship Krishna and because of this, I attained success in wordily life. In spite of my sincere effort, I feel I am standing in the same point where I started. As you have mentioned be a devotee first, your mind will come under your control.

Prabhuji, why still it is a big task to control the mind; all diversions are pulling me away from Krishna, How to over come this? I do not where I went wrong; To get a glimpse of small officer in President’s office is easy but for getting a glimpse (meeting for 2 minutes)of Country’s President is difficult. Its really discouraging. Please explain.

Hare Krishna!

Pranam Swamji,

Delighted to see your kind post after a long gap. I humbly request you to clear the following doubts which will be beneficial for all those who want to make advancement in Krishna Consciousness.

1) You have asked to give up personal sense gratification activities and work for the satisfaction of Krishna’s senses. – See we for example Me, married woman having children, I have to satisfy my husband as well as my children’s desires; I have to serve them. Krishna also mentioned in Bhagvad Gita in Karma Yoga, we have to do our duty. Our Guru the Grate Prabhupadaji was also a family man after finishing his duties he took “Sanyasa”. Please clarify Swamiji, performing activities for my family is also sense gratification? We are in family, we have limitations,in spite of this we sincerely follow daily chanting, visiting temples etc.

2. Will you please explain how to satisfy the Supreme? How to serve him? even it is very difficult to satisfy ordinary human being, will it not be a difficult task? and what are the symptoms that Krishna is satisfied with our devotion/service?

As you have mentioned, the bona fide Gurus are seldom, finding Real Krishna devoted guru is difficult. So, I follow only Sri Srilaprabhupada reading his books and remembering daily in my prayer that’s all. I humbly request you whatever I am doing is correct process in Krishna Consciousness.?

Please clarify Prabhuji.

The Absolute Necessity of a Bona Fide Spiritual Master

Hare Krishna!

Pranam Swamyji,

I humbly request you to clear my doubts. If a person is following spiritual path ie worshipping Krishna with utmost devotion in his life, without approaching a guru not because he/she does not want to approach it is difficult to find such a a Bona Guru like Sri Prabhupatha now a days. If it is the case, will his effort will be in vain? Can you tell me the fate of such person who do not have/find any guru?

I have heard from Satsang(spiritual lecture) God will send a Guru to his sincere devotee in appropriate time. Is it true? How to Identify the real Guru now a days?

HARE KRISHNA!

Pranam Swamiji,

I humbly wish to inform you that In India (Chennai) you will have a darshan of ‘Old man Krishna’, yes. there is one Shri Parthsarathi Temple (lord Krishna) in that temple, the deity (Sri Krishna) is having grey moustache because, during Mahabharat Udh, As you have mentioned, he was having so many grand children. Lord Sri Krishna renounced the world at the age of 125.

Hare Krishna!

Pranam Swamiji,

Through Krishna.org, you are doing a real service to Krishna and Srila Prabhupada posting useful articles and bringing awareness about “The real Krishna Conciousness”. I salute you Swamiji, as you have mentioned, though, Sri Prabhupada is not physically present, he is living/guiding us through his books. At present, I have only one book of Prabhupada “The journey of self discovery”.

Whenever I am in distress, my mind refuse to do chanting/prayer, ie.why God fearing people like me are always facing trouble in life. I read his book and I get boost and build up strong faith in Lord Krishna.

As Prabhupada says, “We are all puppets in his hand, he has brought us in this world to dance and make us dance as he like. I am deeply touched by his prayer, as a great devotee, Guru Sri Prabhupada says, “Krishna, I have no devotion, nor do I have any knowledge, but I have strong faith in the holy name of ‘Krishna”. This is called total surrender/faith to Krishna.

In this way, our Guru Prabhupada guide us whatever situation we may be facing in this life, we should not discourage and keep engage ourselves in spiritual practice.

I request you to Keep on posing mails based on Sri Prabhupada’s teachings which will be useful for people like us who have not exposed to Gurudev’s teachings.

Hare Krishna!

Pranam Swamiji,

Thank you very much for your kind reply and appreciate your frank reply about Salagram silas.

I want to give you the importance of worshiping of Salagram silas in India whatever information I have gathered from my vaishnava friends. By birth I belong to Saivities family (worshiper’s of Lord Shiva); however, since my childhood days I start worshiping Lord Krishna as my Ishta Devtha (favourite God) its my blessing; being orphaned (brought up relatives) had disturbed childhood; but my devotion towards Lord increased. During my toughest days; I felt Krishna’s presence and support very much! When I was a teenager, he gave “darshan in my dream; in dream he came very close; I saw him very close with beautiful lotus eyes (red in colur) bluish body, he was putting more garlands on my neck and signaling with his eyes; asking me not to cry! After 3 years I visited Mathura for the first time, I saw the same Krishna in photo which is in “Janamsthan (Jail) in the basement of temple who came in my dream worshiped daily by millions of people! Let me tell you, I am stunned/shocked, neither at home nor somewhere any temple I saw the photograph of Lord who came in my dream! And I almost fainted in temple; I cried, and I find no words to explain this experience! From then on I stopped worrying about myself; by his grace I am happily settled although my husband does not involve much in Krishna consciousness, he respect my belief he take me to temple and participate in puja etc. I have kept my sons name Gopal & Govind… Whatever I am today is Krishna’s mercy/blessings; I know I do not deserve; but he gave me everything in life and blessed me; I am very grateful to Krishna and this I always keep in my memory till my end. Hari Bol!

I belong to southern part of India, In South, its very auspicious to worship salagram at home. Almost every vaishnava’s home have salagram and when a daughter is getting married, parents gift salagram to girl alongwith other household items. As you told, I am interested to worship salagram by worshiping at home is good for family. There is no difficult rules for worshipping; weekdays I keep it in rice do very simple puja offering fruits etc and during holidays I do “abhishek” (bathing) and puja. In south it is very famous; and it is not advisable to give somebody. So, I am very much interested to worship salagram at home.

For so many years, I was looking for somebody to guide me in Lord Krishna worship in proper way; only 3 years back I came to know about Srila Gurudeva and ISKON… Finally Krishna showed me the way and I landed up in Krishna.org under your kind guidance. I thank Krishna for your divine association swamiji!

Kindly bear my poor English!

Thanks & pranam Swamiji!

What Are The Vedas?

Hare Krishna!

Please accept my pranam Swamji.

I am grateful to you for your kind guidance for improving my spiritual path. Swamiji, kindly clear my following doubts;

1) Somebody gifted me one “Salagram” I was told that its called Santhana Gopala Salagram on last Ekadesi. I feel very much blessed. But I do not know how to worship ie do puja… Moreover, I want to know about “salagram in detail and our Gurudev Shri Prabhupada’s view about “salagram worship” and whether ladies can do salagram puja?

2) Here, in India, there is one spiritual organization which has one spiritual Guru, having many followers (My husband & his Mom follow him) Its philosophy is, God’s is everywhere, he is within “You”; so there is no need to search outside; by searching out you are a big fool.. They says, It is like your parents are alive in front of you; but you keep photo or idle of your parents and accepting only the photo as your parents; not the alive parents; secondly, they say try to awaken the “God” within you not to worship idle, photos etc.. I feel very bad; they are very very dangerous and I maintain distance from them. Atheist is better than these ‘so called Gods”.. Interestingly, they keep and worship their Guru (Human) God photo at home; who is alive and very much enjoying family life having grand children etc. ,but refuse to worship Krishna! They have dozens of books mentioning about this philosophy; Their ritual is 5 minutes meditation & distribution of prasadam, it consist of Garlic, onion etc.. no restriction! Can you give them suitable reply Prabhuji?

Above all, they say we are following Srimad Bhagavat Gita’s “Raja Yoga” chapter; I argued that in Gita, it is nowhere written that Meditation is for 5 minutes and without any food restrictions, rules or other austerities it is not possible to practice this Yoga. Their Guru says you can eat onion, garlic etc.

It is totally useless to advise mooda’s as Srila Prabhupadaji’s mentioned about them. My own people are going to fall in the well of foolishness with open eyes! I am helpless Swamiji!

I am reading Raja-vidya book of our Gurudev. What a beautiful book, I am reading it again and again, it is not easy to understand the exact meaning in one time of reading; each time I go through, I get eternal peace, happiness which I am not getting in material life. I feel more happy and make you proud If I am able to apply in practical life successfully atleast 10% in initial stage by following the instructions mentioned in Raja Yoga. Kindly clear my doubts swamiji also I want you to write an elaborate article about Salagram; which will be useful to all devotees who want your kind guidance like me.

Once again my humble pranam to you Swamiji!

From Folly to Defeat

Hare Krishna!

Please accept my pranam Swamiji!

I am grateful to you for your kind guidance for encouraging my spiritual practice even though its not very primitive stage. Here I want you to clear the following doubts.

1) In your post If human being thinks like that he is not “I am this body” he is ignorant. And whatever you believe to be to your credit is not an achievement; it is defeat.. Suppose I think I I am a big officer and having big house, car and my children are well settled etc. is not achievement its defeat… In this world you will get respect because of your education, post, power money not otherwise. Can you please explain Swamiji?

2) Practically, how is this possible? Suppose I am a lady and I think that I am not body and am soul… let whatever happen to this body let it happen thinking this way, I roam at night; definitely I will be in trouble; and some untoward incident happens, the society even my family won’t accept me back.. Kindly explain this Swamiji, some extent only we think we are not this body….

3) As you have mentioned in many postings, we are suffering because of our past karma, as a Krishna Consciousness person, we should not feel we are suffering, instead of this, due to Krishna’s mercy our sufferings are less otherwise it would be more etc……In my opinion after reading Gurudeva’s books and your postings I am clear that I am a soul, my final destination is to back to godhead but simply thinking I am soul; I am not this body won’t work out; I should personally experience that is important; For this what is the step? See, As a sensitive person, I take each and every thing to my heart and easily get upset and worrying about bad/current situation. Somebody insulted me in front of all my colleagues; even though I am not at fault.. I feel very bad and feel why I am in bad position and not having power, post, wealth etc.. Each and every small incidents put me in distress situation daily; because of this I feel dishearten and stop chanting etc… Sometimes I wonder, why Krishna is silent? He should encourage and create pleasant situations in Devotees who are in a very beginning stage like me so that they can advance in spiritual life…This type of disturbances, is not good.. I give you example, I am like very tender small plant which cannot stand even a little storm… Krishna know this;.. You have given examples of Kunti and Sukhdev Goswami, they are great devotees, they are like big banyan trees… We protect small trees with lot of care till it grow enough to become a strong tree.. Similarly Krishna also should take care and encourage my spiritual life and clear my obstacles which I am facing in my life both in my family life and carrier.

Please forgive me if I have mentioned anything wrong; kindly guide me by your reply.

Pranam

Hare Krishna!

Pranam Swamiji,

It is true that Krishna has given little independence and he has given more freedom to us ie human being than animals, species etc. We are blessed to born as human, in this birth we can attain his lotus feet and we should take advantage of this.

Our Guru Srila Prabhupada mentioned that we should utlize this birth and let it not go in vain and try to escape from death-birth cycle. Our Gurudev also pointed out whatever position/power, intelligence, beauty, wealth you have achieved/have everything will be finished at the time of your death. Then according to your Karma in this birth, you will take re-birth.

I have seen and wondering, even in advanced age, people worried about their sons, grandchildren, wealth ie how to increase their property (though they are very rich) and they have no time for prayer..

After we die, we do not carry anything with us, all our so called belongings will remain here. We forget our language, our dear ones, whatever professional skills/knowledge we possessed etc..

But,In our Gurdev’s book its written that whatever spiritual sadhana,(I am devotee of Krishna) we had in this birth will carry on to our next birth..How is it possible? Spiritual sadhana is somehow connected with our intelligence/brain.. When we take new birth suppose we born again as human being, we may not born in Vaishnava family may born as Christian,Muslim or any other community and we forget about our previous birth. How is it possible for us when everything about our previous life we forget, our spiritual sadhana we will continue in next birth?

Kindly clear my doubts Swamiji…

Pranam

Mayavada–a very dangerous philosophy [Morning Walk–MP3 Audio]

Hare Krishna!

All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Pranam Swamiji.

Unfortunately, the number of Mayavadis has increased now a days. They are breeding more and more particularly in India alone, the number has doubled; see, people here became very down, to achieve material desires, they worship dombs, and so called Gurus consider them as “Living God” surprisingly their petty demands got fulfilled and they are satisfied also.

When I tried to make them understand that all Gurus even they have attained some spiritual height, they are not “God” they are “Guides”. But they are justifying their act, saying that In Kaliyug, God will not come in the form Lord Rama, or Lord Krishna,he will come in the form of human only. Further according to their Guru philosophy, “Aham Bramasmi” they says, God is within you, our Guru teaches you how to become God by doing meditation, your inner atma gets up, and you will merge with God. To justify their point, they give reference from Bhagvat Gita itself. “Yada Yada hi darmasya, Gala …..Sambhavami Yuge, Yuge. See…I want to give them proper reply; will you please explain Swamiji?

The Gurus they are worshipping, keeping their photos entire house, most of them are still connection with their family ie. wife, children etc. I have seen after they became famous Gurus, their financial position improved, travelling only by planes, and have costly cars, which is used by their entire family. I have mentioned this also to them, in reply they says, You offer very beautiful cloths, ornaments, etc in the temples of Lord Krishna, whom you cannot see physically, worshipping only in the form of stone, in this way, it is presented by devotees to our beloved Gurus. I do not understand their logic.

I humbly request you to clarify this Swamiji.

    Hare krishna Prabhuji.,Dandvat Pranaam
May i know about the author of the book”Srila Prabhupada Lilamrita As It Is” named mukund das prabhu.Had he any personal association with Srila Prabhupada.

    • This book is a compilation of direct quotes from Srila Prabhupada speaking about his own life. The author is Srila Prabhuapda, all Mukunda did was compile the quotes and he did a good job of it. He wrote a bit of rubbish on the last 2 pages but apart from that he did not write a single word in the book. It is a collection of Prabhupada quotes and the author of this book is Srila Prabhuapda.

  2. Vamshi says:

Prabhu Madhudvisa Dasa.Is Jagannath Krishna himself or is just an expansion of Krishna like Vishnu,Rama etc.In Iskcon lectures I heard that Jagannath is Krishna himself, they have proved this by saying a story from Skanda purana. Is this true or Iskcon lectures are just bogus?I found no video Prabhupad talking aboyt Lord Jagannath.Oh Prabhu kindly answer my doubts.Hare Krishna

    • Yes. Lord Jagannatah is Krishna Himself. It is Jagannatha [Krishna] Balarama and Krishna’s sister Subhadra.

So Jagannatha is deity form of Krishna. He is representation of Krishna with His brother Balarama and sister Subhadra,

It is deity manifestation of Krishna, Balarama and Lady Subhadra,

    Jai Govind

I request you clear my doubts.I understand the complexities of life processes, cellular mechanisms and other natural phenomenon cannot be explained solely by reasoning and scientific theories as somewhere or other our knowledge is limited.I am a science student nd nature lover. After reading the article posted by you regarding the concept of the origin of life,a question arisen in my mind that krishna is all powerful, then, why he designed this universe in this complicated way?,why life originated? why he made all that dna etc matter space?what is his true nature? why are we given these bodies these reasoning abilities?why krishna waited for billions of years and made us take birth here?why prakrati and purush got seperated? who were those dinosaurs etc for souls are eternal were those dinosaurs primitive and other organisms we only? are there any planet lest earth having life?why will happen atlast for we are ultimately destined to reach our eternal govind? why doesn’t he appears now and clear all these doubts for one thing is sure that if even he messages in some ways we will submit to him?why krishna is so naughty why has he made everything complicated?I know these are childlish questions but still worthy to be answered…..

I am a krishana devotee.I feel as if there is pure love for him deep in my heart. But at the same time I do believe in science.Sometimes i find myself stuck in between science emotions belief and devotion.I want to understand my Govind,I want to understand myself.

I request my friends to please give answer to these questions.I hope i will get atleast answers of a few questions as i found this site quite appealing.

    thankyou!
    Radhe krishna

    • Hare Krishna Jai Govind

To clear your doubts you have to become Krishna conscious. Because unless you become Krishna conscious you will not be able to understand what Krishna consciousness is and you will remain continually bewildered.

All these questions are irrelevant. You seem to accept that Govinda exists, that He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Now you have to just surrender to the idea that you are His servant. And then you need to find out practically how you can engage in the service of Krishna. And to find out how to do this you need to read Srila Prabhupada’s books. And in the process of becoming Krishna conscious all your other questions will automatically be answered.

The scientists can not understand anything. They only have very fragmental information about everything they study. The information we can gather through our material senses is very limited. There are so many things we can not perceive through our material senses. So they can not understand what they can not perceive.

So instead of just speculating all these questions and being bewildered like this it is better to just admit that in our conditioned state with our very limited mind and our material senses we can not hope to understand Krishna or even this material world which is created ultimately by Krishna.

The way to understand these things is to become Krishna conscious. We can not understand without becoming Krishna conscious.

So you have to learn how to become Krishna conscious… That is the answer to all your questions. And Krishna consciousness is a science and that science is very elaborately presented in the books of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!

      Madhudvisa dasa
