Krishna Personally Carries the Necessities of His Devotee

Let us all believe in the words of Krsna and serve Him to our best capacity and thus we will come out victorious in every field of action.

My Dear Sridama,

Please accept my blessings. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 9th July, 1970, and I thank you very much for your check for $2,000. It is a great help to me because in this month I have paid about $20,000 for printing my books and your contribution is welcome.

I have also read the newspaper cuttings in which I understand that people accept our Society as genuine and religious.

So it is Krsna’s grace that they are giving you permission to chant on the streets. I am sure if we work very sincerely all facilities will come from Krsna.

It is stated in Bhagavad-gita that Krsna personally carries the necessities of His devotee and gives protection to his status quo.

So let us all believe in the words of Krsna and serve Him to our best capacity and thus we will come out victorious in every field of action. By the grace of Krsna you are a beautiful young man with nice intelligence, devotion and spirit, so employ all of them in the service of the Lord along with your good wife and be successful in Krsna consciousness.

Hope this will meet you in good health.

Your ever well-wisher,

A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

There is a story of a Brahmana who was reading the Bhagavad Gita when he found the verse that says: “But those who worship Me with devotion, meditating on My transcendental form-to them I carry what they lack and preserve what they have.” Bg.9-22 then the Brahmana said: this is not so because I am who goes out each day to look for food and what I need, I will remove this verse from the book.” And the Brahmana slashed the verse from the book. The next day when the brahmana went to collect their charity a child come to his home loaded with enough food and told to his wife: “your husband command me with all this for you and he also hit Me and look what he made Me in My shoulder a cut.” The brahmana´s wife was surprised by what was happening but accepted the food. Meanwhile the brahmana worked hard all day without achieving collect anything. When finally at night returned home and told his wife: “I could not collect anything today” The wife said: “what you say? If here came a child and brought all this food and even told me that you’ve beaten him? The brahmana was perplexed to what was seeing and hearing, then he went to the room and saw the Bhagavad Gita that was open on the page where he had cut the verse and ask to his wife: “You’ve touched the Bhagavad Gita?” “No” said his wife. And then he realized that Krishna was who personally had taken him all what he needed.
