Srila Prabhuapda “Rascal Editors” Audio Recording
Yasodanandana: Prabhupada in the recent edition many changes have been made. They were trying to make better English but sometimes I think they were making philosophical mistakes also. There is not so much need to make better English, your English is sufficient, it is very clear, very simple. We have found over 125 changes in the recent (1977) Isopanisad printing. They are changing so many things. We are wondering if this is necessary?
Srila Prabhupada: I know that these rascals are changing but what can be done? How can they [the BBT editors] be relied upon? … The great rascal is that Jagannatha Suta, and another rascal (Nitai) is gone. It is starting. What can I do? The rascals can not be educated. Dangerous. Little learning, dangerous. So how to correct it? The leader of these dangerous [men] is Radha-Vallabha. He is dangerous, the most dangerous rascal editor. He is always after change and alterations. That is his disease. That is the American Disease also. What can be done? As soon as it goes for editorial they make changes…

We have not had time to go into these things. Surely someone is prepared to spend some time and energy on this? Someone needs to go through the tapes and format them into one conversation per MP3 file and create some meaningful tags so they are accessible…

That's my life and full-time occupation now really. I like it more than anything I've ever experienced before. Srila Prabhupada's books are so amazing... Even after reading them all many times they're still fresh and new. They are truly transcendental! That's it really. Now I'm just hankering to once again see the world chant Hare Krishna, dance and feast and float away in the ecstasy of Lord Caitanya's Sankirtana movement as it did in Srila Prabhupada's physical presence. Let the whole world drown in the ecstatic flood of love of Krishna!

In 2016-2018 i’ve translated and transcribed Srila Prabhupada’s Bengali audio recordings to English at Vanisource.
Being native Bengali speaker, what i found of utmost importance is Srila Prabhupada’s intonation in the (Bengali & Hindi) recordings is often missed. These are of utmost importance in comprehending His Divine Grace’s mood in the sutuation, particularly the July-1977 recordings.
“Bengali intonation patterns are crucial for conveying meaning and emotion in speech, where the rise and fall of pitch can differentiate questions, statements, and exclamations. Typically, declarative sentences in Bengali feature a falling intonation towards the end, while yes-no questions often display a rising intonation. Understanding these patterns is essential for effective communication and comprehension in Bengali, as they influence the listener’s perception of the speaker’s intent.”

i’m presently working on a stop-motion animation project that visual narrates Srila Prabhupada’s transcendental timeline on Earth. i’d be keen to access any unreleased audio recordings that i could help translate transcribe.
Also, would you know if there’s a way to access the unedited as well as any recently released recordings?

Ekanatha Prabhu at Bhaktivedanta Archives has released all the Prabhupada audio and I suspect you have been working with him if you have been working on the translation of the Bengali. If there are any unreleased recordings he will be the one who has them.
I don’t think so. At least he says everything has been released now except the book dictation tapes. But all conversations, classes, etc, should have been released.
There are missing tapes from these final days of Srila Prabhupada. THat has been reported by Gauridas Pandit Prabhu who was Prabhupada’s servant for some of the time. He witnessed Prabhupada and Tamal Krishna having extensive discussions on the ritvik system, and those conversations were recorded, but the tapes have disappeared.
I suspect those tapes never got to the archives. But I believe whatever tapes the archives has Ekanatha Prabhu has released except for the tapes that are related to books.
