I loved this video. I am a 51-yr old soul with a 10-yr old wonderful daughter, we have been blessed to relocate to California and start a new life. Five months ago I was introduced to Krishna consciousness and have had such an overwhelming desire read everything Srila Prabhupada has written. The Christian material I have been reading has left so many of my deep questions unanswered that the Bhagavad-Gita has answered for me. This video portrays a life I want to have with my daughter. A life that has a balance of both worlds, the first being a dedicated loving devotee of Lord Krishna but at the same time living amongst non-devotees sharing our love and knowledge of Lord Krishna. Yet I have never even ever met one devotee of the Lord personally. I have been following the 4 principles and have been chanting 16 rounds of japa beads and have taught my daughter the Hare Krishna mantra as well. We are now living in Lemoore California and wondered where we could go to be associated with other devotees? Also is there anywhere I can go to learn all about the Vedic literature amongst devotees who can help me become free?
Humbly requesting help,

I would dearly love to learn deeper and practice and serve with you, Madhudvisa dasa. I was raised in a Christian (well pseudo) environment and early on noticed the hypocrisy of the whole thing. I do cherish ONLY the words of Christ..but the only writings that make sense to me are the Bhagavad Vita… my research and quest for truth led me there. I have children and grandchildren. We would love to become a part of your culture and service.

Hi! Yesterday, during a concert of the band “Goodbye to Gravity” was launching its album named “Mantras of War”. During their song named “The day we die”, a fire started that led to 27 dead and 180 wounded, so far. Would you say there was a link between these mantras and the tragic accident? Could you chant evil spirits that might bring death in such a way?

That was an interesting read. The reporter was apparently American? I am female. I do believe all people should be treated with the same dignity, and paid the same for the same job according to their experience. I have never been a Women’s Liber… but I see people all the same (men and women), spiritually. Physically, we are very different. Not just men and women but as individuals. Since the dawn of womens lib…men have become different. I believe one should not be subordinate to the other – except for instances where one is more experienced or more “fit” for the situation. I have seen men who were brilliant raising kids and working; and women, who were terrible. I have seen Women working supporting families and raising kids (this situation is a problem – I have been in it)… I see a need for two (whether same sex or not) people raising children. Lastly, I have seen Women go to work, Men stay home and all was well. Personally, I would rather my mate chop wood than myself (but I have had to do it); and my mate wants nothing to do with the kitchen… (but he has had to do it)… So we should compliment and supplement each other and recognize when to be subordinate. Historically, in America the men became chauvinistic and brutal to the women – thus, Women’s Rights arose! But as all thing American – it has gone a bit far….
love and peace be with you

Hare Krishna Madhudvisa dasa,
All glories to Srila Prabhupada,
I am very new to Krishna consciousness although I’ve been a devoted Christian for years. I’ve only recently(since April) heard of the Bhagavad Gita As It Is and have read through it twice and am on my 3rd reading and am absolutely in love with it. This particular subject I have spent many hours contemplating. I am understanding from reading BG 6.34 that the mind and intelligence are two separate entities. The mind being controlled by the senses and intelligence being mercifully given by Lord Krishna. My question is how is it that we can determine which thoughts and ideas are directed at us by Lord Krishna (spiritual platform) and which thoughts and ideas are by our own conditioned minds (material platform)? I have noticed also when chanting my 16 rounds, I can chant but I notice my mind flickering and unsteady, how do you control that?
Humbly seeking answers,
