United Nations Organization and World Health Organization

So how there can be peace? If you bring different types of dogs — greyhound and bulldog and Indian dog — and bring them, the “United Dog Association,” [laughter] so will there be peace? That is the position. I declared in Melbourne in a public meeting that this United Nation is the unity of barking dog. I told. It was published in the paper. They also criticized me, “The Swami has come to hound.” [laughter] But that is actually the fact.

We are fighting like cats and dogs. And before the Englishman came in Australia, Australia was property of somebody else. And now you have captured Australia, you are barking, “Why you have come, Indian, here?” What is this civilization? Hmm? You have taken illegally from others, and now you have become proprietor, you are barking like dog: “Why you have come here?” What is this civilization? The civilization is: all land belongs to God. We are sons of God. We can go anywhere, everywhere. It is father’s property. That is Kåñëa conscious. If we take it like that—the United Nation passed a resolution, “The whole world belongs to the whole human society”—then there is no fight, immediately. But that they’ll not do. The dog’s quality. And they are fighting always. What benefit you have derived from the United Nation except this big, big barking? That’s all. What benefit you have got? The purpose of United Nation was to stop war. Has war stopped? Then what is the use of barking? You could not achieve. Again you have started United Nation. Where is the benefit? There cannot be benefit. If you keep the dogs as dog, you bring them, “You Australian dog, come here, and American dog, come here, and European dog, come here. Live peacefully,” will they live peacefully? So if you keep the human society as cats and dogs, how you can expect peace? They must be human being. Then there will be peace. So this is the training how to make human being, this Krsna consciousness. Now these boys, they are also Europeans, Americans. They are coming from respectable, very educated… They’ll never ask for a chair. Sit down. That’s all. The necessities of life, artificial necessities, reduced, and time is saved for understanding the value of life. Without motorcar your life will not be spoiled. You can walk. But without Krsna consciousness your life is spoiled. So We recommend that “First of all understand yourself.” This is your prime business. And so far necessities of body, that can be done according to the circumstances. So if we simply waste our time for increasing unnecessary necessities of life and do not try to understand the value of life, then we remain animal.

You have seen the whole world, especially in the modern days, so many big, big nations, they are assembled together in the United Nation. Nonsense, where is the unity? Simply disunity. For the last twenty or thirty years they are struggling. Before that, they convened another, League of Nation. So they are making simply plans. And it continues for some time. Then, after fifteen or twenty years, again conflagration of war, especially in the Europe. They’re all demons. How the demons can bring in peace by so-called United Nation or League of Nation? That is not possible. They have to give up the demonic activities. They have to take to Krsna consciousness. Then they will be saved.
So we are just trying to introduce the real civilization. Actually, there is no civilization at the present moment. They are simply cats and dogs and fighting one another. There is no civilization. This is not civilization.

Prabhupada: Yes, yes. Tena tyaktena bhunjitha: [Iso mantra 1] everything belongs to God. Just like the father has got many sons and the father is the proprietor of the house. He gives one son, “This is your room,” the other son, “This is your room.” So the obedient son is satisfied what the father allows to him. Others, those who are not obedient, they want to disturb other brother that “This room also belongs to me.” That creates chaos and confusion in the world. The United Nations, they have created a society for unity of the nations, but actually that is not unity. That is another way of encroaching upon others’ property. Therefore there is no peace, unless they accept God is the Supreme proprietor. And we must be satisfied with the allotment God has given to us. Then there is no trouble. But the trouble is that we are not satisfied with the allotment given to us. That allotment can be understood by language or similar culture. So why one should encroach upon others’ property which is allotted by God? That creates disturbance. So this so-called modern civilized man, first of all they create disturbances, and then they want to make some adjustment.

>>> Ref. VedaBase => John Locke

Just like people in modern age, they are trying to have some peaceful situation in the world by the intervention of the United Nation, but they cannot stop it.
Again there is war. There was First War in 1914, then they manufactured League of Nations. Perhaps you, most of you, may not know. We were, at that time, boys, students, and we know about this League of Nations, how it was manufactured. Then again the Second War. And now they have manufactured United Nation. But the war is going on — Vietnam or here or there.
But actual medicine is how to stop war. That cannot be done. By one action there is war, and by another action the war is stopped for the time being. And again, when the opportunity’s there, again war. So sinful activities and atonement is like that.

Preaching–First Become and Ideal Devotee

Prabhupada: Fight… Without fight where is life? If there is no fighting, then what is that life? That is dead stone. Fight must be there. Krsna’s whole life is fighting from the very birth. His father carried Him to Gokula where He is still living, and He fell down from the Yamuna . Just born, fighting began. Just born. And at Yasodamayi’s house, Nanda Maharaja’s house, so many demons daily coming — Sakatasura, Aghasura, Bakasura, Putana, so on, so on, so on; ultimately Kamsa, when He was young boy. Vrndavana, so many asuras came. You have seen the pictures? Krsna is fighting with the horse demon, with the bull, fighting. If Krsna is fighting, why not Krsna consciousness the same thing? You cannot expect peaceful life. No, there must be fighting, then think, “That is Krsna’s presence, His fight.” So this fighting means they’re feeling the presence of Krsna consciousness movement.

Then you become madhyama-adhikari, madhyama-adhikari, advanced devotee. Just like these people, either in India or here, they remain simply Churchianity, going to the church without any understanding. Therefore it is failing. Churches are being closed. Similarly, if you do not keep yourself fit to preach, then your temples will all be closed in due course of time. Without preaching, you’ll not feel enthused to continue the temple worship. And without temple worship, you cannot keep yourself pure and clean. The two things must go on, parallel. Then there is success. In modern time, either Hindus, Muslim or Christian, because in these places there is no teaching of philosophy, therefore they are closing, either mosque or temple or church. They will close.
Prajapati: They can show no good result for their activities.
Prabhupada: Yes. That is preaching. Therefore we are writing so many books. Unless we take care of the books and preach and read ourself, understand the philosophy, this Hare Krsna will be finished within few years. Because there will be no life. How long one can artificially go on, “Hare Krsna! Haribol!” That will be artificial. No life.
Yasomatinandana: That’s right, Prabhupada. We are so foolish, we never realize anything you tell us like that. Without the preaching…
Prabhupada: Without preaching, without understanding philosophy, you cannot keep your strength. Everyone should be thoroughly well conversed with the philosophy which we are putting… That means you must read thoroughly every day. So many books we have got. And Bhagavata is so perfect that any verse you read, you get a new enlightenment. It is so nice. Either Bhagavad-gita or Bhagavata. But it is not ordinary writing.

Who Is Representing Srila Prabhupada Now?

One who has understood Krsna as the supreme controller, the Supreme Person, the supreme maintainer, and everything the supreme, ultimate, then he can become guru. Otherwise, don’t try to become guru. Impersonalists, half-understood, partial-understood, he cannot become guru. This is the Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s formula. Therefore first of all try to understand Krsna. You will understand in such a way that you can refute all others’ argument, all others’ opposition. There are so many opposing elements. Then you are guru. Otherwise you cannot become a guru. Guru is not so teeny thing or trifle thing that everyone becomes Guru Maharaja. No. That is not guru.

Paramahaàsa-gatau: you have to approach a Vaiñëava paramahaàsa and follow his words and instructions; then you get the result.

So keep this paramparä system. This Vyäsa-püjä is paramparä system. Vyäsa-püjä means to accept this paramparä system. Vyäsa. Guru is the representative of Vyäsadeva because he does not change anything. What Vyäsa-püjä… What Vyäsadeva said, your guru also will say the same thing. Not that “So many hundreds of thousands of years have passed away; therefore I will give you a new formula.” No. There is no new formula. The same Vyäsa-püjä, the same philosophy. Simply we have to accept it, then our life will be successful.

If anyone hears something philosophy from us, that will help him. But if he purchases one book that may turn his life. So selling books is the best preaching activity.

Hanumän: One thing he’s saying, this gentleman, and I would like to know, is your successor named or your successor will be…
Prabhupäda: My success is always there.

Prabhupäda: These my disciples, they are part and parcel of me. Whole mission is going on with their cooperation. But if he says that “I am equal to my Guru Mahäräja,” then that is offense.
Mr. Malhotra: Suppose guru desires that my disciple should rise higher than me.
Prabhupäda: That means he is in lower stage. That you have to accept first of all.
Mr. Malhotra: Like as a father sees that his children grow.
Prabhupäda: Yes, still father begets father, and a child cannot become father. Father may want to see that the son is equally qualified, but still the father is father, and child is child. That is perpetual. Similarly, a part and parcel of God may be very powerful, but that does not mean that he has become God. Mr. Malhotra: Other traditions, guru disciple, then the disciple becomes guru, then disciple. The gurus may change.
Prabhupäda: They cannot change. If there are change of guru, the disciple acts. He’ll never say that “I have become equal or one with guru.” That is not so.
Mr. Malhotra: I am thinking about this, Swäméjé, that your Guru Mahäräja is preaching through you, and you are preaching through them.
Prabhupäda: Yes.
Mr. Malhotra: So disciple is guru through his disciples.
Prabhupäda: That’s all right. But that does not he has become. He may be representative of guru, representative of God, but it does not mean that he has become God.
Mr. Malhotra: But he becomes guru to his disciples.
Prabhupäda: That’s all right.
Mr. Malhotra: Never equal to his guru.
Prabhupäda: Not equal; representative. Not equal. I send one representative of this man, and he may be very expert, doing very good business, still he cannot be equal with me. He is acting as my representative, that’s another thing. But not that he has become the original proprietor. Mr. Malhotra: But as your disciples, you are taken as guru.
Prabhupada: But they will never say that they have become equal with me: “I have advanced to be my guru.” Never say. Just like this boy, he is offering obeisances. He may be expert in preaching more than me, but he knows that “I am subordinate.” Otherwise, how he shall offer obeisances? He can think, “Oh, now I am so learned. I am so advanced. Why shall I accept him as superior?” No. That continues. Even after my death, after my disappearance, he will offer obeisances to my picture.
Mr. Malhotra: But amongst his disciples he will be worshiped…
Prabhupada: That’s all right, but he remains a disciple of his guru. He will never say that “Now I have become guru, so I don’t care for my guru.” He will never say. Just like I am doing, but I am worshiping my guru still. So I remain subordinate to my guru, always. Even though I have become guru, still I am subordinate to my guru.

Reporter (2): What will happen to the movement in the United States when you die?
Prabhupäda: I will never die.
Devotees: Jaya! Hari bol! [laughter]
Prabhupäda: I shall live for my books, and you will utilize.
Reporter (2): Are you training a successor?
Prabhupäda: Yes, my Guru Mahäräja is there. Where is my photo of Guru Mahäräja? I think… Here is.

    Hare krishna Prabhuji.,Dandvat Pranaam
May i know about the author of the book”Srila Prabhupada Lilamrita As It Is” named mukund das prabhu.Had he any personal association with Srila Prabhupada.

    • This book is a compilation of direct quotes from Srila Prabhupada speaking about his own life. The author is Srila Prabhuapda, all Mukunda did was compile the quotes and he did a good job of it. He wrote a bit of rubbish on the last 2 pages but apart from that he did not write a single word in the book. It is a collection of Prabhupada quotes and the author of this book is Srila Prabhuapda.

  2. Vamshi says:

Prabhu Madhudvisa Dasa.Is Jagannath Krishna himself or is just an expansion of Krishna like Vishnu,Rama etc.In Iskcon lectures I heard that Jagannath is Krishna himself, they have proved this by saying a story from Skanda purana. Is this true or Iskcon lectures are just bogus?I found no video Prabhupad talking aboyt Lord Jagannath.Oh Prabhu kindly answer my doubts.Hare Krishna

    • Yes. Lord Jagannatah is Krishna Himself. It is Jagannatha [Krishna] Balarama and Krishna’s sister Subhadra.

So Jagannatha is deity form of Krishna. He is representation of Krishna with His brother Balarama and sister Subhadra,

It is deity manifestation of Krishna, Balarama and Lady Subhadra,

  3. tanu says:

    Jai Govind

I request you clear my doubts.I understand the complexities of life processes, cellular mechanisms and other natural phenomenon cannot be explained solely by reasoning and scientific theories as somewhere or other our knowledge is limited.I am a science student nd nature lover. After reading the article posted by you regarding the concept of the origin of life,a question arisen in my mind that krishna is all powerful, then, why he designed this universe in this complicated way?,why life originated? why he made all that dna etc matter space?what is his true nature? why are we given these bodies these reasoning abilities?why krishna waited for billions of years and made us take birth here?why prakrati and purush got seperated? who were those dinosaurs etc for souls are eternal were those dinosaurs primitive and other organisms we only? are there any planet lest earth having life?why will happen atlast for we are ultimately destined to reach our eternal govind? why doesn’t he appears now and clear all these doubts for one thing is sure that if even he messages in some ways we will submit to him?why krishna is so naughty why has he made everything complicated?I know these are childlish questions but still worthy to be answered…..

I am a krishana devotee.I feel as if there is pure love for him deep in my heart. But at the same time I do believe in science.Sometimes i find myself stuck in between science emotions belief and devotion.I want to understand my Govind,I want to understand myself.

I request my friends to please give answer to these questions.I hope i will get atleast answers of a few questions as i found this site quite appealing.

    thankyou!
    Radhe krishna

    • Hare Krishna Jai Govind

To clear your doubts you have to become Krishna conscious. Because unless you become Krishna conscious you will not be able to understand what Krishna consciousness is and you will remain continually bewildered.

All these questions are irrelevant. You seem to accept that Govinda exists, that He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Now you have to just surrender to the idea that you are His servant. And then you need to find out practically how you can engage in the service of Krishna. And to find out how to do this you need to read Srila Prabhupada’s books. And in the process of becoming Krishna conscious all your other questions will automatically be answered.

The scientists can not understand anything. They only have very fragmental information about everything they study. The information we can gather through our material senses is very limited. There are so many things we can not perceive through our material senses. So they can not understand what they can not perceive.

So instead of just speculating all these questions and being bewildered like this it is better to just admit that in our conditioned state with our very limited mind and our material senses we can not hope to understand Krishna or even this material world which is created ultimately by Krishna.

The way to understand these things is to become Krishna conscious. We can not understand without becoming Krishna conscious.

So you have to learn how to become Krishna conscious… That is the answer to all your questions. And Krishna consciousness is a science and that science is very elaborately presented in the books of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!

      Madhudvisa dasa
