A God of Love? A God of Goodness?

From the Bilbe, Jesus is the Son of God. So we know that Jesus is from the God and goodness. If God is a God of goodness, a God of love why does he let people suffer so much? Thanks guys. — Haonan

Many people, it seems, think there could be not be a God because this world is so messed up. I saw hundreds of postings on the internet after the bomb in the states that killed some children in a kindergarten. They were saying, “If there is God, how could He have done this?”

This reaction is a result of the relatively new Christian idea of an “all-loving God”. They say an “all-loving God” wouldn’t have Hell, He knows we are not perfect so He won’t punish us for our sins… But this is nonsense. It is not what Christians believed thirty or forty years ago either.

God is a loving God, but love means He cares about us so if we stray from the path of spiritual life a loving God will arrange to correct us, to get us back on the right path.

All the confusion stems from a misunderstanding of what this world is for. We don’t belong here. We have come here to try to be happy independently from God.

We want to be the controller, we want to be god. To fulfill our independent desires God has created this world, but it’s created in such a way that we can enjoy here but all our enjoyment will end in frustration. This material world is actually created as a place of frustration. If it was all “peaches and cream” we would never contemplate leaving this place…

Krishna says in Bhagavad-gita (8.16):

abrahma-bhuvanal lokah punar avartino ‘rjuna
mam upetya tu kaunteya punar janma na vidyate

“From the highest planet in the material world down to the lowest, all are places of misery wherein repeated birth and death take place. But one who attains my abode, O son of Kunti, never takes birth again.”

So this is a place of misery! [And every time I say this people jump up and down… but what can I do? It is a miserable place!]

There is a little “pleasure” here and there is certainly beauty here but it is not permanent. That is the source of the misery and frustration. We, the spirit souls, are eternal living beings but currently we are covered by these material bodies. When we accept our material bodies as ourselves and work on the bodily platform we are working for temporary things. Even if we achieve these temporary things [and some temporary happiness] in time we will loose them again and become distressed.

So happiness and distress is coming and going like the waves of the ocean, but a self realized soul is not attached to happiness nor is he disturbed by distress. He knows both are temporary manifestations caused by his past activities [karma] in this life and previous lives and that he can’t do anything about it. His allotted happiness will come and so will his allotted distress.

Nobody works hard for distress, but distress still comes, so even if we don’t work for it our allotted happiness will also automatically come to us. We can’t change it by working very hard. It’s caused by our activities in the past, we can’t change our activities in the past…

Some people, due to their good karma, do enjoy “happy” lives here while others, due to their bad karma, suffer like anything. THIS IS NOT GOD’s PARTIALITY. It is the result of OUR actions in the past. God doesn’t kill children in a bomb. Those children did something in their previous lives so as a reaction they had to be killed in the bomb blast. It’s a result of their own activities…

A devotee takes distress as Krishna’s mercy and as an impetus to take spiritual life more seriously.

When Krishna was personally on this planet [5,000 years ago in India] due to the intrigues of the Kuruvas the Pandavas [Krishna’s friends and devotees] were put into great difficulty. They were forced out of the kingdom which was rightfully theirs, they had to live in the forest for twelve years and they faced so many difficulties. There is a very beautiful section in the first canto of Srimad-Bhagavatam entitled “The Prayers of Queen Kunti”. Kunti was the mother of the Pandavas and she has given so many nice prayers:

“My dear Krishna, Your Lordship has protected us from a poisoned cake, from a great fire, from cannibals, from the vicious assembly, from sufferings during our exile in the forest, and from the battle where great generals fought. And now You have saved us from the weapon of Asvatthama.

“I wish that these calamities would happen again and again so that we could see You again and again, for seeing You means that we will no longer see repeated births and deaths.

“My Lord, Your Lordship can easily be approached, but only by those who are materially exhausted. One who is on the path of [material] progress, trying to improve himself with respectable parentage, great opulence, high education and bodily beauty, cannot approach You with sincere feeling.

“My obeisances are unto You, who are the property of the materially impoverished. You have nothing to do with the actions and reactions of the material modes of nature. You are self-satisfied, and therefore You are the most gentle and are master of the monists.

“My Lord, I consider Your Lordship to be eternal time, the supreme controller, without beginning and end, the all-pervasive one. In distributing Your mercy You are equal to everyone. The dissensions between living beings are due to social intercourse.”

(Srimad Bhagavatam 1.8.24-28)

So God is not responsible for our suffering, we caused it ourselves. In times of difficulty a devotee takes shelter of Krishna, he turns to Krishna, but in times of material prosperity and happiness there is a chance he may forget Krishna.

So Queen Kunti is praying, “Let the calamities come again… for then there will be no chance we will forget You.”

Krishna says in Bhagavad-gita 2.14:

matra-sparsas tu kaunteya sitosna-sukha-duhkha-dah
agamapayino ‘nityas tams titiksasva bharata

“O son of Kunti [Arjuna], the non-permanent appearance of happiness and distress and their disappearance in due course, are like the appearance and disappearance of winter and summer seasons. They arise from sense perception, O scion of Bharata, and one must learn to tolerate them without being disturbed.

Thank you very much. Hare Krishna.

About the Author

My first contact with a Hare Krishna was a most merciful Mataji in Oxford Street, London who sold me a "Higher Taste" cook book in 1984 while I was on holidays there. I started seriously reading Srila Prabhupada's books in Australia 1985 and by 1986 Srila Prabhupada had convinced me "Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead" and "we should surrender to Krishna." I joined the Hare Krishnas in Perth, Western Australia in 1986. Since then I have been chanting Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare, reading and distributing Srila Prabhupada's books and preaching as much as I can. That's my life and full-time occupation now really. I like it more than anything I've ever experienced before. Srila Prabhupada's books are so amazing... Even after reading them all many times they're still fresh and new. They are truly transcendental! That's it really. Now I'm just hankering to once again see the world chant Hare Krishna, dance and feast and float away in the ecstasy of Lord Caitanya's Sankirtana movement as it did in Srila Prabhupada's physical presence. Let the whole world drown in the ecstatic flood of love of Krishna!

Madhudvisa Prabhu, I needed to tell you that I am really suffering for want of proper devotee association. I have lived very close to an ISKCON temple and witnessed and experienced drama created by so-called devotees. Presently I am living in a farm community but devotees are creating plenty of drama here too. Also, I have ended up hearing a lot of “dirt” about other devotees and ISKCON in general and am feeling perturbed by all this. ISKCON is not functioning correctly. Devotees are not behaving properly. I have finally begun to understand many of your views in regards to all of this after having observed what is happening in the movement. This definitely is not the ISKCON that Srila Prabhupada created. I am finding that associating with devotees is actually hindering my spiritual progress and causing psychological harm. Other devotees are simply not worth my time as their improper behaviour simply creates distress. All I am now left with is my books and beads. In other words, all I have now is Srila Prabhupada and Krishna. I have tears in my eyes and in my heart. Please advise.

    • Hare Krishna Steven

I know exactly how you feel. I am in the same position and so many other devotees are also.

The problem is Krishna consciousness only works if you take it seriously and actually follow the basic principles including getting out of bed before 4:00 AM, attending Mangal-Aroti, chanting at least 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna mantra daily, strictly following the four regulative principles and working under the direction of a pure devotee of Krishna and being engaged daily in sankirtan [the congregational chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra and the distribution of Srila Prabhupada’s transcendental books].

Prabhupada’s ISKCON is centered around making sure all the devotees in every temple are actually following the regulative principles and properly engaged in the daily activities like attending the morning program, Bhagavatam class, taking prasadam together and going out on Sankirtan during the day and coming back to the temple for the evening program, Bhagavad-gita class, etc. Without this program there is no meaning or purpose to ISKCON. So every ISKCON temple has rejected Prabhupada’s program and virtually no one is seriously following anything…

And it is a problem for us also, outside the association of devotees. Because Krishna consciousness really happens in the association of devotees. But it can only happen if the devotees are actual devotees surrendered to following the principles, getting out of bed for the morning program and going out on Sankirtan daily…

So it is like you have experienced. Everything in ISKCON is broken. And associating with the ISKCON devotees will not help us but will instead hinder our natural advancement in Krishna consciousness.

It is an illusion. Today’s ISKCON is not the association of devotees engaged in pure devotional service that Srila Prabhupada established it for. It looks a bit like Krishna consciousness from a distance but when you get close to it you find out it is actually maya.

So at the moment our only option is to be Krishna conscious separate from ISKCON.

I do not know what the answer is really. But we can take some inspiration and hope that Srila Prabhupada was also in exactly the same position. Not exactly, of course, because he is a pure devotee from birth. And really he never had very close association with the Gaudiya Matha. Except for a very short time he always lived separately. But Prabhupada was very disturbed seeing his godbrothers in the Gaudiya Matha totally disregard all the principle instructions of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura. And seeing the Gaudiya Matha disintegrate in front of his eyes caused him great distress and you can detect a feeling of despair in his writings at the time.

So we are feeling the same dispair, seeing ISKCON disintegrate in front of our eyes. The only choice we have now is to stay clear from ISKCON and try not to be taken down with it…

    Hare Krishna prabhuji
    Thanks for the beautiful message,

I many a times heard my friends talking about disasters happening around and they speak like atheists, i couldn’t get right way to speak to them. And one more thing that i encountered with myself is, whenever i thought that people who are suffering is due to their past karma, i many a times lack pity feel towards them. How can one come over this!?

    • Hare Krishna Sushma

All problems are solved when we become Krishna conscious. So the only problem is to become Krishna conscious and all these problems will be solved. So please concentrate on reading Srila Prabhupada’s books, chanting at least 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna mantra every day, strictly following the four regulative principles [no illicit sex, no meat eating, no gambling and no intoxication] and in this way become a pure devotee of Krishna yourself. When you become a pure devotee of Krishna you will understand everything in the proper perspective and will be empowered by Krishna in such a way that when you explain Krishna consciousness to the people they will take to it and perfect their lives also. So this is the solution to your problems.

    Please accept my humble obeisances

    All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Madhudvisa Prabhu, could you give me some advises regarding book distribution? How to attract people so that they want to buy Srila Prabhupada books. Because I have personal experience that some years ago when I did not really engage in book distribution but somehow I bought many Srila Prabhupada books and stored them in my bookshelf expecting that in the future I would have enough time for distributing Srila Prabhupada books. Fortunately, one day some of my friends who knew that I have been practicing Krishna consciousness, they were little attracted to Krishna consciousness and then they bought Bhagavad-gita As It Is and Teachings of Queen Kunti. At the time I was really happy because although I did not really try to make my friends interested to buy those books, but still they bought it. But some days ago when I really tried my best to distribute Srila Prabhupada books in two marketplaces, I approached many people, I tried my best to make them interested to buy Srila Prabhupada books but the result was that not even a single person bought the books, although some visitors were little interested but in the end they did not buy it. I also have my determination that before distribute the books I have to finish my 16 rounds japa. But still the result of my book distribution was not really satisfying. So Madhudvisa Prabhu, could you give me some advises?
Although I am a neophyte in Krishna Consciousness but at least I want to serve our spiritual master Srila Prabhupada with my petty effort in distributing his books.

    • Hare Krishna Bhakta Pramanta

It is very good news you are seriously trying to distribute Srila Prabhupada’s books Prabhu! All glories to your service!

I suggest you watch the video:

      http://krishnatube.com/video/69/Selling-the-Bhagavad-Gita-on-its-own-merits

There are many very good hints in that video and if you just study carefully the method that is described in the video and follow it exactly you will find you can immediately sell many, many big books every time you go out on book distribution.

Book distribution is a science and you have to learn it form someone who knows how to do it. It is a simple thing but if you just go out on the street with no idea what to do then you will work it out eventually if you persevere with it but it is much easier if you take some hints from someone who already knows how to do it.

Of course ultimately book distribution is a spiritual activity and you will feel this more and more as you distribute Srila Prabhupada’s books. You will feel the real and tangible presence of Srila Prabhupada and Krishna guiding you. It is very nice. At other times also it will be very difficult and you will have to practice tolerance and austerity and perseverance to stay out there on the street distributing Srila Prabhupada’s books even though it seems no one is interested in them.

The main thing is to go out regularly, every day, distributing Srila Prabhupada’s books. Become determined to spend the time every day distributing Prabhupada’s books and if you do it like this, regularly every day, very soon you will become very good at it and will be distributing so many books it will astound you how it is possible.

The secret is to go out every day. Spend the time on the street and you will distribute many Prabhupada books.

      Very quickly the process is:

      1. You have to stop the person. You can not sell a book to a person while he is walking down the street. That is useless. So the first step is you approach someone and they are usually walking and you have to stop him. You can’t grab him and stop him… You have to do it with words. So you say “Excuse me Sir [or mate or friend or whatever is appropriate where you are] Just one question.” Then hopefully he takes notice of you and is a little curious. So as soon as you have his attention you say “Are you from Sydney [or Delhi or wherever you are] or out of town?” I know it sounds like a stupid question. But just do it. By now he has stopped and is wondering why you are asking this stupid question… But you have stopped him from walking so the first part of your mission is successful…

So it doesn’t matter if he is from town or not. It does not matter what his reply is. No matter what he says you become very excited, like he has answered the question correctly and he has won the prize. So you say “Fantastic, wonderful.” Then the second step is to get the book in his hand. He is much more likely to buy it if he is holding it. Once he is holding it he becomes attached to it and doesn’t want to give it back so that is good. You need to get the book in his hand. That is step 2. So after getting excited that he has answered the question correctly and now he has won the prize you hand him the book and say “We’re showing people this book today.” But remember now your point is to get the book in his hand. You don’t want to go off on a big explaination about the book while it is still in your hand. You have to get it in his hand. So it is an art you have to learn how to hand the book to him in such a way that his hand will automatically come up and grab the book. So as you are saying “We’re showing people this book today.” to him you are at the same time handing the book to him and hopefully his hand will grab it before he even thinks about it much… But sometimes you hand the book and his hand doesn’t come up to grab the book. So if that happens you say “Where’s your hand?” and his hand will automatically pop up and you put the book in it and he grabs it…. Works very well.

So once he has the book in his hand you say something attractive about the book that makes him want to read it. Not that we want to give a one hour Bhagavatam lecture. We just want to say enough to make him curious to read the book and sell it to him and get on to the next person. So it should be very powerful, interesting, convincing and short. A general thing could be “It’s about meditation, yoga, karma, reincarnation. Contains the secrets hidden in the ancient Vedic texts of how to be happy in this crazy world.” You can make a different short description for each book. Then you get him to open up the book. Show him the color pictures and say a few words about what is in the pictures. If it is a book with Sanskrit verses you can open up and chant a verse and read the translation. Etc. You will see a big description of things you can say in the video.

So the point is not to make him a pure devotee on the spot in one session. The point is just to get him a bit curious and interested to read the book and let Srila Prabhupada preach to him so you can move on to the next person and sell him a book. So once he seems a bit attached to the book, and this should not take long, you ask for the donation. “We’re just asking the people if they can leave a contribution to help cover the printing cost.” Then usually, if you have convinced him there is something interesting in the book, they go for the money. So as they are reaching for the money you give them a subtle hint about how much you are expecting them to give. So you can say something like: “They cost us about five dollars to print.” or something like that. Generally you would be aiming to get double the cost of the book as a donation. But of course even if they give just the cost of the book it is OK. Even many book distributors just average it out and let them take books for less than the printing cost. But really it is better to get at least the printing cost because it is very important for them to give some donation to help with the printing. That is devotional service for them. That is ajnata-sukriti, unknown devotional service. And Srila Prabhupada explains also that if you give them the book for free they will think ‘what is this rubbish’. If we are giving away for free then the person who we give it to will think we do not value it and they will not value it either and probably will not read it. But Prabhupada says that if someone gives up some of his hard earned money for the book he will feel obliged to read it. He will think “I have given that person the money for the book, I have to read it to get my moneys worth.”

So if you are selling a Bhagavad-gita and you go through everything and tell him it costs ten dollars to print and he pulls fifty cents out of his pocket you can swap the book. He will understand and will not be unhappy about that. So you should have some small books as well and while he is holding the Gita you hand him a small book and say something like “Can I give you a smaller book.” And he will agree because he knows it costs ten dollars to print and you just give him the small book and slide the Gita out of his hands. At least for me if I am going to spend some time with a person and he is at least listening to what I am saying and seems even vaguely interested I want to leave him with something to read. So we have many small books that are not very expensive. So even if they give nothing but seem interested, sometimes they do not have any money, we can give them some small book.

So once he has given the donation you just thank him and encourage him to read the book and reassure him that all the questions he has ever had are answered in the book and tell him again to please read it. It is very good if you have some card to give to him. Normally at this time we would invite him to the Sunday feast. So if you have a Sunday feast then print invitation cards and personally invite him and ask him to come and tell him you will be there to answer any questions he may have as he reads the book. And the card should have the maha-mantra printed in big letters on the back. So finally you can show him the maha-mantra on the back and tell him this is the most powerful mantra in the universe and ask him if he thinks he can chant it. And he will chant it… Then you just look for the next person and do it all again. And the more times you do it the more books you will sell.

Don’t expect everyone to buy a book. Actually most people will not buy. Most are too deep in maya. But just meeting a devotee and getting some brief association is very good for them. If you sell a book to one person out of every ten you approach then you are doing well. So it means to sell 100 books you have to speak to 1000 people. But you can easily do that in a day.

Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!

      • Rukmini says:

        Prabhu,

Could you kindly type out the card you give to people who buy your books( maybe by changing only your personal details only )? I would like to give a similar copy to people…By the way, do you give them a card or pamphlet? Could you type out what you write on it?

And one more thing…just the way we give exact links in krishna.org , isn’t it possible to give exact links in prabhupadabooks.com. Suppose I want my friend to read a particular chapter of Srimad Bhagvatam, but no matter whichever link I give, it goes to the home page of prabhupadabooks.com. Kindly help me out…

I am sorry for all the trouble.

        With all humility…

        • Hare Krishna Rukmini

Yes. You can give exact links to PrabhuapdaBooks.com

          eg: Bhagavad-gita is at http://prabhupadabooks.com/bg

          Bg 4.34 is at http://prabhupadabooks.com/bg/4/34

          etc..

You will see the link is on the bottom of each page at PrabhupadaBooks.com

As far as the card, it is generally an invitation to the Sunday Feast if you have one, but you probably don’t have one. I don’t have one at the moment. So my card just has a picture of Krishna on the front and some website links like Krishna.org, PrabhupadaBooks.com, KrishnaStore.com, etc. and on the back it has the Hare Krishna maha mantra and chant and be happy. It is just business card size. So you can just make something that suits what you want to do.

        • also email address on the card… In case they might want to contact you.

        Hare Krishna Madhudvisa Prabhu

        Please Accept my humble obeisances

        All Glories to Srila Prabhupada

Thanks for your nice tricks about book distribution. I used those tricks and due to the mercy of Srila Prabhupada, Lord Caitanya and yourself I successfully distributed one Srimad-Bhagavatam of Seventh Canto, one Sri-Isopanisad, and one Life Comes From Life to my college friends and now I have a plan to distribute Srila Prabhupada books to one lecturer in the university where I am studying. But recently due to my past bad habit I have fallen down from the principles of devotional service by watching pornography. I feel very ashamed and dejected because I had forgotten this bad habit for sometimes by engaging in Krishna Consciousness but then again this bad habit comes up. Now I practically realize that Maya is very very strong, I feel I am very much fallen and sinful but the thing that make me more afraid is that in the future I cannot assure myself that I will not fall down again.

        Your humble servant
        Pramanta

        • Hare Krishna Pramanta

Very good news about the book distribution. All glories to your service!!!

Yes. It is very difficult in the material world. It is easy to become contaminated and fall down due to bad association, and naturally we feel very bad and depressed about it. But there is no point in feeling depressed. We just need to recommit ourselves to chanting at least 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna mantra every day, strictly following the four regulative principles: no illicit sex, no meat eating, no gambling and no intoxication and we have to read Srila Prabhupada’s books at least 1-2 hours a day. These things are essential if we are to maintain our Krishna consciousness. And if we strictly follow these things we will get the strength we need so we do not fall down again.

It is a great struggle and sometimes we may fail. But we should not become depressed. We have to always get ourselves properly situated again and recommit ourselves and become determined that this will never happen again.

So just go on increasing your book distribution and your chanting and reading and you will get the blessings of Srila Prabhupada and Krishna and will get the strength not to fall down again.

Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!

Ummmmm I vam not sure what to say about the comments, but am a christian and I believe in God and that he IS a all-loving- God. The answer to that question is cause God lets us choose our path , he don’t want to loved by force, but by heart. In the Bible is say that in the end’s of the day Man would turn away and their heatrs would turn cold. Which means that the love would die and that we would follow other Gods. Plus GOd doesn’t need to destroy the world cause it can destroy it’s self.

  5. Eugene says:

This question was also raised by Job. In the Bible, God replies to Job, not answering him but telling him the following:

    Job 38

    The LORD Speaks,

1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the storm. He said: 2 “Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge? 3 Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me. 4 “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. 5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? 6 On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone- 7 while the morning stars sang together and all the angels [d] shouted for joy? 8 “Who shut up the sea behind doors when it burst forth from the womb, 9 when I made the clouds its garment and wrapped it in thick darkness, 10 when I fixed limits for it and set its doors and bars in place, 11 when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther; here is where your proud waves halt’? 12 “Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place, 13 that it might take the earth by the edges and shake the wicked out of it?

14 The earth takes shape like clay under a seal; its features stand out like those of a garment. 15 The wicked are denied their light, and their upraised arm is broken. 16 “Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea or walked in the recesses of the deep? 17 Have the gates of death been shown to you? Have you seen the gates of the shadow of death [e] ? 18 Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth? Tell me, if you know all this. 19 “What is the way to the abode of light? And where does darkness reside? 20 Can you take them to their places? Do you know the paths to their dwellings? 21 Surely you know, for you were already born! You have lived so many years!

22 “Have you entered the storehouses of the snow or seen the storehouses of the hail, 23 which I reserve for times of trouble, for days of war and battle? 24 What is the way to the place where the lightning is dispersed, or the place where the east winds are scattered over the earth? 25 Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain, and a path for the thunderstorm, 26 to water a land where no man lives, a desert with no one in it, 27 to satisfy a desolate wasteland and make it sprout with grass? 28 Does the rain have a father? Who fathers the drops of dew? 29 From whose womb comes the ice? Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens 30 when the waters become hard as stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen? 31 “Can you bind the beautiful [f] Pleiades? Can you loose the cords of Orion? 32 Can you bring forth the constellations in their seasons [g] or lead out the Bear [h] with its cubs?

33 Do you know the laws of the heavens? Can you set up God’s [i] dominion over the earth? 34 “Can you raise your voice to the clouds and cover yourself with a flood of water? 35 Do you send the lightning bolts on their way? Do they report to you, ‘Here we are’? 36 Who endowed the heart [j] with wisdom or gave understanding to the mind [k] ? 37 Who has the wisdom to count the clouds? Who can tip over the water jars of the heavens 38 when the dust becomes hard and the clods of earth stick together? 39 “Do you hunt the prey for the lioness and satisfy the hunger of the lions 40 when they crouch in their dens or lie in wait in a thicket? 41 Who provides food for the raven when its young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food?

Basically, God tells Job that we must not think that God is not aware of all the evil things going on. He knows and will take care of it just as He takes care of the most minute creatures in the universe.

We are back to the birth of mankind.
Is Spirit or yanin in Juwa child in the womb or from the spirit of the father or the mother’s spirit?
If the spirit or soul that comes from parents, then the spirit is the father moved to the boys and the spirit of mother to daughter?
Who would dare give a definite answer?
The world is full of mystery. Man himself is a mystery to himself and his life.
Small things that need to be answered:
How the form of the spirit and soul are in our physical bodies?
Not only the Christian religion that teaches that God is good, all religions teach that God is All-Good.

    The bottom line:
God gives to man of reason, free will and consciousness. Humans use reason to do what is good and right.
The issue is whether people want to do good to help others who suffer or not?
Should the Lord came and took over the task of man to overcome the human problem. Maybe God wants, but if that happens,
who can be free from the wrath of God?
Who can stand against human Tuyhan Nothing is free from the wrath of God because all men sinned, more interested in themselves and less attention to others.

For example: If the human face of natural forces such as hurricanes, typhoons, floods, earthquakes and tsunamis alone was not capable.
Does God need to come directly into the world?
Do not demand more than God?

IF PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW WHAT he did,
LORD KNOWS MORE THEN WHAT HE PLAN.

actually some people don’t forget Krishna when opulence is availible, they on the contrary praise God for having this opulence and in this way remember Him, and again in an opposite way when things are bad they do not remember Him, because they think the trouble God just made for us is not justified, or that because of so much suffering their minds is just not clear enough to think about and remember Him.

    • These people are not devotees. Praising God for the opulent position they are put in and using it for their own comfortable life and cursing God or forgetting Him because they are in a difficult position.

A devotee, if he is put in an opulent position considers that the opulence is not his, but it belongs to Krishna, so he does not use such opulent facilities for his own benefit, but uses them in the service of Krishna. If a devotee is put into a difficult position he takes this as the mercy of Krishna. He does not forget Krishna or curse Krishna, “Krishna why have you done this to me?” No. He is thinking, “Krishna I deserve so much worse and you are giving me only this little suffering. Krishna you are so merciful on this fool…”

For a devotee the material position he finds himself in does not affect his relationship with Krishna. The material pleasures and pains and opulence an poverty only affect the body. And a devotee knows that he is not the body, but that he is the eternal spirit soul present within the body. So the apparent happiness and distress of the material world does not affect him at all.

So the conclusion is the people you are taking about are materialists not devotees…

As You said in above article that “Those children did something in their previous lives so as a reaction they had to be killed in the bomb blast. It’s a result of their own activities””.

I have a queation that ,as those childrens got die because of bomb blast ,that was not naturally death of them boys who died in bomb blast because i saw in Prabhupada Ji conversations that who die unnaturally for example. ,because of disease or accident ,they get subtle body ,imean become ghost.
So how its possible that those childrens got dead because of previous actvities ? That was natural death for them or unnatural ? If unnatural so itsmean they got subtle body ?
If i got misunderstood so please explain me little clear
        Hare krishna

        • Hare Krishna Ravi

It is karma. Karma can cause ‘unnatural’ death.

If I kill someone in this life then that means I will take birth again and the person I killed will take birth again and he will be forced by karma to kill me and I will have to be killed by him because I killed him in my previous life.

So it is all karma. Everything in the material world is karma. It gets very complicated of course. But we are just forced to experience the reactions of our previous activities. There is no independence in this regard. Our only independence is to choose between masters. We can surrender to maya or surrender to Krishna. When we are surrendered to maya we are controlled by maya and when we are surrendered to Krishna we are controlled by Krishna.

It is better to be controlled by Krishna…
