There is Another World!

Even I have the same symptoms Rikai speaks about….and thus I do understand that I am very unfortunate. Still I don’t know how but I get a lot of pleasure following Srila Prabhupada’s instructions and serving him. It’s been years since I have been following all the basic rules and even the worst times, I didn’t give it up. Why ? That I don’t know…something keeps me going on. Yet to admit, unfortunately, I still do not have complete faith, in the sense that it keeps doubting whether it is all really true?

Many wonderful things have happened with me ever since I took to Krishna consciousness and there is not a word of Srila Prabhupada that is false. Yet it is the association I am in that hinders my progress.

Nonetheless there is no doubt that I shall keep serving Krishna because that is the only thing in the world that gives me solace and pleasure.

Easy Journey to Other Planets PDF Download

Prabhu, with all humility, I beg to say that in the hard copy published by KBI, I have seen the following differences between it and the scanned copy pdf.

1) On pg 50 of the hard copy “dhama” has been mistakenly typed as “dharma”.

Life there is perpetual and full of knowledge and bliss. That is what is known as sanatana “dhama”.

2) On pg 59 of the hard copy 12 “years” has been mistakenly typed as 12 “hours” for the duration of life of an insect.

I thought it my duty to bring it to your attention. Maybe they are typing errors.

With all humility…

Worshiping Demigods Works But…

In the Nectar of Devotion , Srila Prabhupada has given one of the instructions as to worship Ganesha(I think in respect to increasing our devotional service…. not able to find that sentence now).
While in his oral Instructions he has instructed not to ( I guess that’s what he meant to say when he asked his disciples to pay him a lot of money if they’re worshipping Ganesha).

When I see the diety of Ganesha , I just pray” Please engage me in Srila Prabhupada’s devotional sevice”. In fact that’s what I pray to all the demigods whenever I happen to see them ( because that’s what you see every few meters in india) and even to Krishna. But am i not supposed to even pray like this to ganesha (or the other demigods) . If so I’ll stop it?

2) Is it called “deity” of ganesha or “idol” of ganesha since he is not absolute like Krishna ? But I am sure that Srila Prabhupada is present in his photo and deity form. But is it even true for the demigods? Are they actually present in their idols or are the demigod devotees worshiping just stone? ( Got the doubt because they aren’t transcendental or absolute…)

3) Sometimes told that if we offer the Krishna prasadam (which was offered to Srila Prabhupada) to Ganesha it becomes Maha Maha prasadam … Is it true? If so should we be doing it?

Reading Prabhupada’s Books is So Important

In Caitanya Caritamrta section, if you click on “adi” all the volumes are shown as adi 1 , adi 2 ..and so on… till adi 17. The same happens if you click on “Madhya” or “antya”.

The same thing happens if you click on each canto of “Srimad Bhagvatam”

Gurukrpa speaks on ISKCON History

You are doing a 100% good job in presenting Srila Prabhupada’s instructions as it is. And your website hasn’t the slightest tinge of anything outside Srila Prabhupada. Just like SP correctly chose what to give us and what not to, on this website you correctly chose what to do and what not to. There couldn’t be a better site than this.

Of course I was fortunate, that I was not present during Srila Prabhupada’s time, lest I should have considered Him to be an ordinary person like all those ISKCON members who went mad after SP’s departure. Yet now I can see myself how I am again going on the wrong path by considering you to be an ordinary person.

“To all dear members on ” , I would like to request you, that though Madhudvisa Dasa is easily available to all of us, please do not take this association too lightly….Do not do the same mistake of considering him to be one among us. As such it is always best to not ask unnecessary questions all the time which may bring the seriousness to a very low level. In fact Madhudvisa Dasa has written thousands of comments. Please read them and take the “INSTRUCTIONS” hidden in those comments seriously because they are VERY, VERY IMPORTANT though we may not realise it now.(Like when he tells us to chant 16 rounds and read Srila Prabhupada’s books 1-2 hours a day, we ACTUALLY have to very seriously take these instructions which is actually what SP always stressed upon). They may be those teachings of Srila Prabhupada, which he might have mentioned in his letters, lectures and conversations which we are too lethargic to read.

And to Madhudvisa Dasa Prabhu, all I can say is that you do have SP’s unlimited blessings upon you. Though I am a very big neophyte and no necessity to give you instructions or wishes, with all humility, I request you to keep serving Srila Prabhupada with all humility and I pray to Srila Prabhupada that he may always shower his blessings upon you for making his original teachings single-handedly available to the whole world…

All glories to your service!!!

All glories to Srila Prabhupada, our eternal and most beloved Spiritual Master!!!

Yes, I just wish to expand like Krishna into many, many forms, just to distribute Srila Prabhupada’s books…. Book distribution for me is the only solace in life and it seems to me the only pathway to increase my love for Srila Prabhupada.

Am I right?

After reading above article, a strange feeling arises in the heart. After 50 years, we who were hardly present during all these happenings feel as if we have nothing to do with all this… I feel extremely comfortable in my situation chanting 16 rounds and reading 1-2 hrs SP’s books…

But sometimes I wonder why all this happened. Even the devotees in those times could have just done what we are doing now???

Or is it that I am not understanding the seriousness of this movement. Prabhu , am I rightly situated?? Except for book distribution, is there something else I should be doing for SP.
After reading this article, I dont know why i am feeling that though I am following SP’s instructions, I am not doing enough. Or something is missing???

Is there something which Srila Prabhupada wanted me to do but I am not doing? Except for surrender I really am not understanding why I am feeling guilty of not doing something for Srila Prabhupada after reading this article?

What is just happening???

Please remove my bewilderment..

Slow Motion Astronauts on the Moon?

The following statement of Srila Prabhupada which is really beautiful and a matter of common sense is enough for anyone who understands or does not understand the fact that man didn’t go to moon…

“Life in the higher planets, known as the abode of the denizens of heaven,
is obtained not by the strength of spacecraft (as is now being contemplated
by the inexperienced scientists), but by works done in the mode of goodness.

There is even restriction on the very planet where we are now living for
entrance of foreigners to a country where the citizens are more prosperous.
For example, the American government has many restrictions for entrance
of foreigners from less prosperous countries. The reason is that the Ameri-
cans do not wish to share their prosperity with any foreigner who has not
qualified himself as a citizen of America. Similarly, the same mentality is
prevailing in every other planet also where there are more and more intelli-
gent living beings residing. The higher planetary living conditions are all in
the mode of goodness, and anyone desiring te enter the higher planets
like the moon, sun, Venus, etc., must qualify thoroughly by activity in
complete goodness.”

Prabhupada’s ISKCON–How It Was Destroyed

Wasn’t It one of Srila Prabhupada’s regulative principle not to sport? Isn’t Danvir right in the above article? The initial part of the article was good, but in the latter part Janardana Dasa says that ha has become a martial art trainer? Hadn’t Srila Prabhupada criticized martial arts in one of his videos saying that at the time of death martial arts can’t protect anybody?

With all humility I have no intention to criticize anyone. I would just like to know if I have understood Srila Prabhupada’s instructions properly?

  1. Govind says:

    Hare krishna Prabhuji.,Dandvat Pranaam
May i know about the author of the book”Srila Prabhupada Lilamrita As It Is” named mukund das prabhu.Had he any personal association with Srila Prabhupada.

    • This book is a compilation of direct quotes from Srila Prabhupada speaking about his own life. The author is Srila Prabhuapda, all Mukunda did was compile the quotes and he did a good job of it. He wrote a bit of rubbish on the last 2 pages but apart from that he did not write a single word in the book. It is a collection of Prabhupada quotes and the author of this book is Srila Prabhuapda.

  2. Vamshi says:

Prabhu Madhudvisa Dasa.Is Jagannath Krishna himself or is just an expansion of Krishna like Vishnu,Rama etc.In Iskcon lectures I heard that Jagannath is Krishna himself, they have proved this by saying a story from Skanda purana. Is this true or Iskcon lectures are just bogus?I found no video Prabhupad talking aboyt Lord Jagannath.Oh Prabhu kindly answer my doubts.Hare Krishna

    • Yes. Lord Jagannatah is Krishna Himself. It is Jagannatha [Krishna] Balarama and Krishna’s sister Subhadra.

So Jagannatha is deity form of Krishna. He is representation of Krishna with His brother Balarama and sister Subhadra,

It is deity manifestation of Krishna, Balarama and Lady Subhadra,

  3. tanu says:

    Jai Govind

I request you clear my doubts.I understand the complexities of life processes, cellular mechanisms and other natural phenomenon cannot be explained solely by reasoning and scientific theories as somewhere or other our knowledge is limited.I am a science student nd nature lover. After reading the article posted by you regarding the concept of the origin of life,a question arisen in my mind that krishna is all powerful, then, why he designed this universe in this complicated way?,why life originated? why he made all that dna etc matter space?what is his true nature? why are we given these bodies these reasoning abilities?why krishna waited for billions of years and made us take birth here?why prakrati and purush got seperated? who were those dinosaurs etc for souls are eternal were those dinosaurs primitive and other organisms we only? are there any planet lest earth having life?why will happen atlast for we are ultimately destined to reach our eternal govind? why doesn’t he appears now and clear all these doubts for one thing is sure that if even he messages in some ways we will submit to him?why krishna is so naughty why has he made everything complicated?I know these are childlish questions but still worthy to be answered…..

I am a krishana devotee.I feel as if there is pure love for him deep in my heart. But at the same time I do believe in science.Sometimes i find myself stuck in between science emotions belief and devotion.I want to understand my Govind,I want to understand myself.

I request my friends to please give answer to these questions.I hope i will get atleast answers of a few questions as i found this site quite appealing.

    Radhe krishna

    • Hare Krishna Jai Govind

To clear your doubts you have to become Krishna conscious. Because unless you become Krishna conscious you will not be able to understand what Krishna consciousness is and you will remain continually bewildered.

All these questions are irrelevant. You seem to accept that Govinda exists, that He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Now you have to just surrender to the idea that you are His servant. And then you need to find out practically how you can engage in the service of Krishna. And to find out how to do this you need to read Srila Prabhupada’s books. And in the process of becoming Krishna conscious all your other questions will automatically be answered.

The scientists can not understand anything. They only have very fragmental information about everything they study. The information we can gather through our material senses is very limited. There are so many things we can not perceive through our material senses. So they can not understand what they can not perceive.

So instead of just speculating all these questions and being bewildered like this it is better to just admit that in our conditioned state with our very limited mind and our material senses we can not hope to understand Krishna or even this material world which is created ultimately by Krishna.

The way to understand these things is to become Krishna conscious. We can not understand without becoming Krishna conscious.

So you have to learn how to become Krishna conscious… That is the answer to all your questions. And Krishna consciousness is a science and that science is very elaborately presented in the books of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!

      Madhudvisa dasa
