Thank you for the reply. I will start to make Kitchari more often. My stomach also hasn’t been feeling to well lately (crohn’s disease) so this will probably be good.

What is a good daily menu? I find it difficult to decide what to cook, doing this every day would be hard. I have “The Hare Krishna Book of Vegetarian Cooking” and “The Higher Taste”.
What is a good breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu? Thank you for the help.

The diameter of the Earth is 7917 miles, the diameter
of the Moon is 2160 miles. Thus, the diameter of the Earth is 3.66 times the diameter of the Moon.
During Lunar eclipses, astronomers have long known that the Earth’s shadow is about 2.5 Moon diameters wide.
This fact, combined with the coincidence that the Moon has roughly the same angular diameter as the
Sun, allowed astronomers hundreds of years ago
to accurately estimate the distance to the Moon and the diameter of the Moon by simple geometry, provided that you can determine the diameter of the Earth.

Nope. The shadow of a circular object illuminated by the Sun is a cone that comes to a point at 1/tan(A) times the diameter of the object. Here A is the angular size of the Sun.
Using .53° the shadow is 108 diameters long.

It’s pretty much a waste of time arguing with Madhudvisa Dasa. It is easy to find dozens of images of earthshine illuminating the moon during a solar eclipse, simply by doing a search in Google images on “earthshine during solar eclipse.” Mr. Dasa won’t accept any of them as real. Indeed, any further comments by Mr. Dasa become an exercise in irrational conspiracy claims. If Mr. Dasa’s notions typify those of the Krishna Consciousness movement, then the movement has no credibility, and should be avoided and ignored

Earthshine during a solar eclipse. It’s clearly the Moon. Vedic astronomy is wrong.

Hare Krishna Prabhu,
You say both camps are lying so where does one go for association with devotees? if you take both away what are you offering to replace this most important part of our spiritual life? How do we serve in the Temple of Lord will you supply this? How do we get together for book distribution? HareNam alone is not so easy. I am not saying you are wrong I just want you to be carefull not to take away the little that some of us have.I 64 and have been searching for 34 of those years and have been through so many thing trying to find a place to serve the Lord each time someome comes along and says the are wrong we have the truth and I have a feeling its happening again! Hari Bol!

Are you saying if “Krishna consciousness can cure schizophrenia” then any mental disorders or people who call people with particular symptoms like not sleeping my days, overly excited in one minute and overly depressed in any another and too many thoughts coming at one time who are thought of as having particular mental disorders(these symptoms of what people call bipolar disorder) be cured of their symptoms then.
I don’t believe in their diagnosis and all. I mean all or most people who are not Krsna Conscious are strange, mad , emotional and all more or less. So what is the mean of these mental disorders anyways. People who don’t have these disorders are thought of as normal. People’s definition of normal is so untrue. The definition of normal is described as what most people usually are. But they is no such thing as normal as i feel in the materialistic sense i guess because everyone is unique and or diffrent in their own ways and more reasons i think i feel. And anyways i accept the true and factual Krsna Conscious definition of normal which people who are normal are Krsna Conscious.
I am not one of the few normal people. Though i feel i am more normal in some sense than others in that for one definite thing i accept most or a lot of times unless i am in confusion that Krsna Consciousness is normal and the only thing that is worth aspiring and having.

Hello there Hare Krishna.
I’m enjoying the e-mails which are very good.
I was under the impression that sankarshan das adhikari was a bona fide spiritual master. I like him very much.
» Posted By John On July 28, 2016 @ 8:15 am
how can one be Krishna’s devotee do he/she require any initiation.
» Posted By John On June 14, 2016 @ 11:39 am
Madhuvisa dasa – you have made it very clear that Prabhupada is living in his books, and he is the only spiritual master/guru we need. Why does official ISKCON today say we need to be initiated to a “living” guru within the organization?
» Posted By John On May 4, 2015 @ 8:12 am
As someone trying to find there way to Krishna thankyou very much for these e-mail letters.

Look at press conference at around from 32 minutes into the video. Do they look like three guys who had just been part of the biggest mission in modern history landing on the moon?
IMO they look like three kids who know they have been naughty and are just waiting for the parents to find out what they have been up to.

From Where does Krisna get these three energies (immaterial/ material and Marginal)? Where does these energies come from?

Thanks for the answer. I don’t have read the Bhagavad-gita before that’s why i make this rule for my self. I don’t had enough knowledge before. I will kick it out.
» Posted By John On April 3, 2019 @ 5:39 am
So that means that Krishna helps us to get pure even when we are fallen? Because i make a rule myself that i can only think of krishna and chant the Maha mantra when i am pure. Pure means for me that when i break a rule that i dont chant and dont think of krishna for 14 days. A friend of me says that rule is imbecility is he right or not right?
» Posted By John On March 29, 2019 @ 8:23 am
Thank you for your answer i will keep on chanting.
» Posted By John On March 28, 2019 @ 9:41 pm
Is there a rule that when I am not pure that i must stop to Keep Krishna in mind? Because i accidentally eat meat yesterday and i feel unworthy to even look at Krishna.
» Posted By John On March 24, 2019 @ 11:10 am
So you think that a Guru can’t fall or fail?
Clearly they can and do. We need to look at ourselves and our own practice and ask WHY WE have not been purified of our own hypocrisy, weakness, lust and judgementalism. Also, don’t attempt to judge artwork that you do not understand.
Let’s be compassionate! Hari Bol.

If you kill and animal (one of Krishna’s children) you will become an animal in your next life and be killed by the animal you killed, isn’t so?

Copyright on the words of Krishna? What a joke. Anyone should be able to print, copy and distribute the teachings.

The astronauts walked normally in their spacesuits before take off here on earth so they should have moved faster in less gravity not slower

Prabhupada is correct. Why wear a crucifix (torture device) that Jesus was killed on? People just keep sinning and sinning and think “Jesus died for my sins, so I can keep sinning and I will be forgiven!” How could it possibly work like that? You need to answer for your own sins.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:48: “You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” He doesn’t say to keep sinning and forget about it.

I do not recollect the flag ever waving. I noticed it swiveled…. likely because of gravity… which the moon would still have, but definitely not waving. Even if it was in a studio, there would still be no wind unless if there was a fan blowing, but then it would be a constant wave which we would see. The flag in this case just falls.. Newton’s Laws of motion explain why the flag behaves in the way it does.
This argument is like trying to disprove evolution. You can say what you want and believe what you will, but the evidence is all there. If you wish not to accept it, then fine. But you look ignorant.

Thank you for clarifying this, Madhudvisa.

Great words from the master.
I have read the book Beyond birth and death with great interest. I heard Prabhupada say in a video that animals have to work their way up in the material world till they get the human body, before they can get out of this prison and enter the spiritual planets like Krishna loka.
My question is: how did the birds described in Srimad-Bhagavatam get to the spiritual planets?
SB(3.15.16–23): “When the king of bees hums in a high pitch, singing the glories of the Lord, there is a temporary lull in the noise of the pigeon, the cuckoo, the crane, the cakravaka, the swan, the parrot, the partridge, and the peacock. Such transcendental birds stop their own singing simply to hear the glories of the Lord.”
Does this mean that souls of birds can trancend to Krishanloka directly without having to get become humans first?
Please explain, cause I have asked many people about this without ever getting an answer.

I have a question with regards to the modes of material nature controlling ones life.
It seems that since a person is born of some particular qualities and as long as one’s deluded by false ego then whatever they have done, become etc. it is the result of these modes they acquired at birth,is it not so? And that would mean that everything that happens in a persons life can be considerded predetermined, one’s destined to be, say have a successful career (mode of passion) or not to be so successful in their material life but as long as they don’t surrender to Krishna then their life’s outcome in the mundane world has already been determined no matter what they try or try not to do.
Even surrendering to Krishna is not actually ones choice to make.
Is my understanding correct here?
Can you talk on this subject for me.
