Demons Never Surrender to Krishna

Aloha; Somewhere in the audio recordings you will find Srila Prabhupada describing Krishna`s purposes for appearing as Lord Chaitanya. Srila Prabhupada tells there the reason of Krishna was thinking to Himself about this verse Bhagavad Gita 7:15. Krishna thought how these people literally are never able to surrender to Him. So then He thought that in the form of Lord Chaitanya , He must capture some of them and return them Back2Godhead.
In 1977@the L.A. Temple, the head of the BBT, Rameshwara Swami, would sometimes relate in Srimad Bhagavatam class that Srila Prabhupada told him~
“Anyone who does anything for the BBT, I will take them Back2Godhead in this life!”

It is Very Difficult to Escape from the Material World

There is an old Back To Godhead magazine article where you will find Hayagriva Das asking Prabhupada in Vrindavan~”You say this is the Sppiritual World. But how can it be the Spiritual World, as it is so dirty.” Srila Prabhupada answered~”How can you say it is dirty when every living entity here goes BackToGodhead in this life.”
Then Prabhupada said ~”Well almost every living entity. Perhaps the human beings whose buisness it is to keep the place clean may have to take one more birth as a hog to do some cleaning.”

Aloha; True enough Krishna says2Arjuna that nothing can be done by his own power to escape the power of Ahankara. But only by the mercy of a Devotee can one be relieved.

Now jump ahead 5,000 years and you can hear the Mgr. of BBT ,Rameshwara Swami , telling everyone that Srila Prabhupada told him~

“Anyone who does anything for the BBT, I will take them Back2Godhead in this life!”

Deity Worship Manual from Krishna Balarama Temple

“Published on June 5th, 2014 | by Madhudvisa dasa ”
“Otherwise this book appears to be a very valuable guide to the process of Deity Worship as established by Srila Prabhupada.”

~?~Could you please tell your connection to Srila Prabhupad`s instructions for ISKCON Deity Puja~?~

I have asked devotees for years, and so far ,none have told me they have direct instruction from Srila Prabhupad on this subject~?~
you can find recordings of Srila Prabhupad chastising individual devotees for changing the instructions He gave them for ISKCON Deity Puja, but where are His instructions to read or hear on record~?~
I would be very interested in reading or hearing Srila Prabhupad`s directions for offering ISKCON Deity Puja rather than the fantasy of unconscious sufferers wandering aimlessly…….

Welcome to Krishna Connect’s Bhagavad Gita Introduction

Perth, Australia ~What Is LOVE~
May 9, 1975
Conversation ~ His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
and Carol Cameron, then a doctoral candidate in anthropology. ~~~

Carol: Your Divine Grace, how would you go about teaching this idea of love [of God]?
Srila Prabhupada: Love means that just as I want to eat something, so if I love somebody then I will see that my beloved also eats. Also, naturally the lovers present things. For instance, when a boy loves a girl, he presents something, and she should also give him something. And if I have got some confidential thing in mind, I should disclose it to the lover, and the lover is also expected not to keep anything secret. She should disclose it. If I love you just because you are beautiful—for my sense gratification—but I keep everything secret, that is not love. That is sense gratification. Lust.
So these are the six kinds of reciprocation or exchange between the lover and the beloved. These are the signs of love.
dadati pratigrhnati guhyam akhyati prcchati
bhunkte bhojayate caiva sad-vidham priti-laksanam
Priti means “love,” and these are love’s symptoms: give and take, eat and give to eat, disclose your mind and know the other party’s mind. This is love. The more you increase these six kinds of loving exchange, the more you increase the love.
Carol: If a man wants to perfect his love, should he withdraw from the world?
Srila Prabhupada: First of all, we have to understand that love exists not just within one person—love must be between two. Then you can expand the love. But first we should know, love requires two—the lover and the beloved. So the transaction begins
between the two; then it expands.
Carol: Do you look at the “two” as, say, the creator and the person? Would that be the two that you have in mind?
Srila Prabhupada: Yes. The creator and the created. Do you believe in the creator?
Carol : An impersonal creator, yes.
Srila Prabhupada : Impersonal?
Carol: Yes.
Srila Prabhupada: Oh. What kind of philosophy is that—”impersonal creator”?
Carol: Without any attributes.
Srila Prabhupada: Creator is an attribute. Being the creator—that is an attribute. If I create this bell, I know the art of how to create a bell. Knowing this creative art is my attribute. So how can you say the creator is without attributes? This is false philosophy. I know how to create this bell. That is my artistic sense. That is my attribute. So how can you say I am without attributes? As soon as you say “creator,” then that creator has got many attributes.
Carol: How can ignorance be removed?
Srila Prabhupada: The ignorant people can learn from the learned. If you have got this idea that the creator is impersonal, that means you are not learned; you have no knowledge. And this is the simple answer. As soon as you say “creator,” you can understand He has so many attributes or qualities.
Suppose I am ringing this bell. Now, if the bell’s spring is loose, the bell will not sound. So others may not know what to do, but the person who has created the bell knows—”Oh, the spring is loose. Now I’ll tighten it again.” That means the creator knows the ins and outs of whatever he has created. That is the nature of one who creates something.
So just imagine: The one who has created everything that exists—He is cognizant of everything that exists. How can He be impersonal? What is this philosophy? Hmm? Answer. You are a philosopher.
Carol: Well, He would incorporate personal attributes, not be governed by them.
Srila Prabhupada: Hmm? She says “He.” But “He” has to remain impersonal. [Laughter.]
Carol: Yes. [Laughs.] It’s true that creation does imply intellect and perhaps emotion.
Srila Prabhupada: Such vague ideas. And yet in this nonsensical culture, these vague ideas are passing as philosophy. “He” contradicts your impersonal idea. You say “He.” And still, you insist that “He” is impersonal.
Carol: At the emotional level, it’s a very personal …
Srila Prabhupada: Why should you be emotional? You are a philosopher. You should talk very rationally.
Carol: Oh. I … don’t philosophize. My sense is that God is impersonal but He incorporates personal features. If God is in everything, then the personal attributes must be part of “Him,” “it,” or whatever. But God is not just limited to being a person.
Srila Prabhupada: You have no idea of God. He must be a person. As soon as you say, “He knows everything,” “He creates,” and so many other things, then these all mean He is personal. Repeatedly you say “He.” These are all personal.
Carol: This is only our idea of God.
Srila Prabhupada: That means you have no clear idea of God, only a vague idea. So you have to learn what God is.
Carol: You think you can know the nature of God?
Srila Prabhupada: Yes. You can know, also.
Carol: In an intellectual way?
Srila Prabhupada: You can know, also.
Carol: You might know something in your heart but not
be able to express it.
Srila Prabhupada: Why not be able to express it? You can express it. Whatever is within your heart—if you cannot express it, then you are not perfect. You must express what is within your heart very clearly. Not that I have got something within my heart but I cannot express it. That means my knowledge is imperfect.
Carol: So often, our understanding moves sort of separately—through the heart, through feelings and emotion.
Srila Prabhupada: Emotion is not required for scientific knowledge of God. Emotion is not required. Useless. Knowledge of God must be factual. Emotion is of no use. Emotion is useful in highly developed stages of ecstatic love. But it is not that for preliminary scientific study of God you require emotion. No.
Carol: And yet in the bhakti way of doing things, this emotion and love actually are very closely intertwined, aren’t they?
Srila Prabhupada: Yes, but that is a higher stage. Not in the beginning. In the beginning, devotion means I should be devoted to God very rationally. To start with, why should I be devoted to God unless He is worthy? For instance, Krishna says, “You surrender unto Me.” So unless I understand that Krishna is worthy of my surrendering to Him, why shall I surrender to Krishna? If I had demanded of you, as soon as you arrived here, that you surrender, would you have liked to do that? Unless you are fully aware of my abilities, qualities, why should you surrender?
So before surrendering, one has to study the person to whom he is going to surrender. Then he surrenders. That is real surrender. But blind surrender will not last.
Similarly, blind surrender to God will not last. So since our first business in this human life is to surrender to God, we must know who and what God is. Then you must surrender. And then, when it is based on solid knowledge, your emotion is good. That means you are advanced. If you understand that God is giving us everything, emotion based on that understanding is very good. If, even from the very beginning, one understands and becomes emotional—”Oh, God is so kind, God is so great. He is giving us all our necessities, so I must serve Him”—then this emotion is very good.
But for the ordinary man, this emotion does not come. He needs to study who God is, what God is. And later, when he fully understands, “Oh, God is so great,” then that emotion is very nice. That is genuine emotion. Otherwise, his surrender to God is merely sentimentality. It will not stay. It will not last. It is temporary.

Srila Prabhupada this question.

Wishing you all success in producing your easy access to Srila Prabhupada’s teachings.

1 tip 4 your research is a collection of tapes found in the care of EkanathDas@ BBT Archives. He has labeled them as ~Unedited Bhajans~, meaning that he has not edited anything as he received it.
But unfortunately someone lost great portions of these recordings before EkanathDas received them.

For example on these recordings you may still hear Srila Prabhupada give some detail as how to offer the different articles to the Diety.
( Quite Different from present Temple practice ?)
You may also hear Srila Prabhupada sing the Tune He instructs should be used to chant the Srimad Bhagavatam Verses.

If only it were as easy to follow Srila Prabhupada’s Requests as it was to follow Ms.Pope’s…….

» Posted By jonathan On February 25, 2017 @ 4:53 pm

You seem to be over looking the simple instructions Srila Prabhupada gave for conducting Temple Activities.
For example you can listen to a room conversation @ the Honolulu Temple May 3,1976. Srila Prabhupada calls for Govinda Dasi because she has changed the instructions Srila Prabhupada has given her for the Diety Puja. You will find this theme throughout this room conversation, that it is only by following Srila Prabhupada’s instructions that will induce Krishna to reveal Himself to Yourself.
i can recall many instructions to be followed by all initiated disciples as a regular daily Sadhana. And you are correct to say they don’t seem to be followed presently in the Temples. But these instructions still remain in recorded records if not in Srila Prabhupada’s Books.

For example in regard to your stressing that everything is instructed in Srila Prabhupad’s Books. i don’t think you can find Prabhupada’s detalied instructions for ISKCON Diety Puja as He gave to Govinda Dasi who then somehow or other thought she had a better idea, in Srila Prabhupada’s Books?

Or for example. Karandhar Das Prabhu in mid late 70’s sometimes while giving Srimad Bhagavatam class in the L.A. Temple, would tell how Srila Prabhupada instructed Him how to conduct the Srimad Bhagavatam, Bhagavad Gita, etc. classes. Upon examination you would find the present “standards” not even close to Srila Prabhupada’s Specific instruction on this.

Or for example when i first met Vishnujana Swami, i found Him chanting the Govinda Jaya Jaya Gopala Jaya Jaya Radha Ramana Hari Govinda Jaya Jaya , Mantra as much as He would the Pancha Tattva Maha Mantra and Hare Krishna Maha Mantra.
When i asked Him Why, He told me~
” Yes, Srila Prabhupada told me that these are the 3 most important Mantra’s for ISKCON. ”
Now so far, i have never even seen this Mantra printed in any of Srila Prabhupada’s publications, let alone that it is one of the 3 most important Mantra’s for ISKCON.

So perhaps with a little more thought on this subject by yourself you will agree that Srila Prabhupada did give very important DETAILED instructions for the Daily activities of ISKCON that you will not find printed in His Books.
Thus making the need for ~Just 1 More~ Book similar to “This Is My Request”
With all of Srila Prabhupada’s Personal detailed requests for ISKCON activities. This would certainly encourage all.

5th grade Ms. Pope was my favorite teacher. She often played telephone with us. She would say a short instruction like~” Don’t forget to bring your lunch to school tomorrow. “~ into the ear of the first student, This was to be repeated word for word to the student behind you. Finally the last student would stand and speak out loud the message. Of course the last student would always have a long story to tell but somehow there would be no mention of Lunch~School~or Tomorrow.
As people around the world read Srila Prabhupada`s Books and come to ISKCON Temples looking for more of His direction, it would be simple wonderful if there were a Book documenting Srila Prabhupada`s instructions as to how He requested the daily activities of ISKCON Temples to be conducted~*~
As we find in Srila Prabhupa’s Purport to Srimad Bhagavatam SB 3.24.12~To honor the spiritual master means to carry out his instructions word for word.

Back to Godhead No. 45

Feeling a strong indication that I was about to die and go to hell, I prayed to the great unknown to please put me in touch with someone He knows. So at the age of 20 This is the first B.T.G I read, delivered to my house by a friend.
Mom was an avid reader and the next day found the advertised Bhagavad-gita in our town library.
5 years later I was engaged in the BBT at the New Dwaraka Temple LA. shipping the Library Party’s orders for full sets of Books all over the world.
Another example of the Lord’s causeless Mercy engaging the conditioned souls in His most intimate service.

Hoping to never forget A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada~
“I am present in My Books.”
“Just by reading My Books they are initiated.”
“My touch is just a formality. Anyone who follows My instruction is My disciple.”
3 simple quotes from Prabhupada’s publications.

Chaitanya Charitamrita Adi 12:16
-One must first ascertain the object of life. And then understand how to attain it.

Chaitanya Charitamrita Adi 12:10
-The order of the spiritual master is the active principle in spiritual life.
Anyone who disobeys the orders of the spiritual master immediately becomes useless.

The challenge now is to actually know the Orders of A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and follow.

Did man really walk on the Moon ???

there are two ways to see things..
doubts have been put in your head mostly for mediatic reasons (remember many people say the King was still alive) so no need to believe in these things… the other way is simply that man has never walked on the moon and specialists have evidence and may proove it to the world..

On the other hand, NASA are not obliged to answer to these questions and I’m sure they will not argue with these people and they are right… otherwise this debate will never end and will put a huge doubt about the credibility of the USA.

You know this year USA celebrate the 40 years man first walked on the moon so it was foreseen that these comments would come out now that the world is connected to internet.

For my personal point of view, if man has really walked on the moon, they would have gone there again. And moreover the other big nations Russia, France, Uk, China, Japan have never projected to go on the moon despite there is nothing to do there.

Reading Srila Prabhupada’s Books

Aloha ~@~ 4got to mention ~@~
Srila Prabhupada also points out in these Purports
~OF ALL THE ACHARYA’s INSTUCTIONS,~
~Following the 4 reg. principals and
chanting 16 rounds a day ~
~IS THE MOST IMPORTANT.~

Certainly an important point to study when considering
KRISHNA’s point~Bhagavad Gita 4:34~
Just try to learn the truth by approaching a spiritual master. Inquire from him submissively and render service unto him. The self-realized souls can impart knowledge unto you because they have seen the truth.
PURPORT
“One must be able to pass the test of the spiritual master.”

Srimad Bhagavatam: ~Canto3 Ch.24 Text 12~
“To honor the spiritual master means to carry out his instructions word for word.”

Chaitanya Charitamrita: Adi Lila Ch.12 Text 10
” The order of the spiritual master is the active principle in spiritual life. “

Aloha; i will leave it to you to research, but you will find 16 Purports in Shri Chaitanya Charitamrita where Srila Prabhupada emphasises His instructions of following the 4Reg.Principals and chaning 16 Rounds of Japa a day. In one of these Purports He makes the point that this Japa must be chanted Loudly so that others can also hear you chanting.
( another instruction that our Hrydananda swami seems to have missed along the way)

Aloha; ~*~In regard to Srila Prabhupada’s Requests for reading His Books~*~

1977 Srimad Bhagavatam Class@L.A.Temple(NewDwaraka) a few weeks after 1977 Mayapur Goura Purnima Festival and GBC meetings,
Under the Order of Srila Prabhupada
Satsvarupa das Swami was reiterating GBC resolutions from those meetings.
One new resolution announced , made by Srila Prabhupada Himself, is His request for a minimum daily Sadhana to be followed by all formerly initiated disciples, either living in the Temples or living in their own home.
2 points from this request
~1~Everyone must attend morning and evening Classes.
~2~Everyone must read the 4Books,
(Bhagavad Gita~Srimad Bhagavatam~Chaitanya Charitamrita~Nectar of Devotion)
2hours a day independently beyond the Class time.

~?~Update~?~

~1~ satsvarupa das has told me that he presently has no memory of this.

~2~ This established 1977 GBC resolution made by Srila Prabhupada Himself has disappeared from the “official” GBC archives~?~

Purport
Here is the opinion of Śrīla Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja Gosvāmī. Persons who strictly follow the orders of the spiritual master are useful in executing the will of the Supreme, whereas persons who deviate from the strict order of the spiritual master are useless.🌹

BBT Admits Books Changed To Fit GBC Philosophy

~?~INITIAION~?~

~?~If you can believe the memory to be true~?~

Told by Vaikunthanatha das (a disciple of Srila Prabhupada).

In 1972, when Prabhupada gave a series of lectures on The Nectar of Devotion for one month in Vrindavan, a thought was plaguing me. When I first joined, I’d been taught that the parampara system is like a chain, and if you’re not initiated, if you’re not linked up to this chain, then you can’t go back to Godhead. I thought, “We’re distributing so many books, but if the people who read them are not initiated, then they can’t go back to Godhead.” So, one day I followed Prabhupada from Rupa Goswami’s samadhi, where he lectured, and just before Prabhupada stepped onto his courtyard, I said, “We’re distributing so many books but if people aren’t initiated, then they can’t go back to Godhead.” Prabhupada turned, looked at me right in the eyes and said, “Just by reading my books they are initiated.”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
https://krishna.org/images/btg/BTG45/btg45-23.jpg?x64805
~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~
And from~http://vanisource.org/wiki/720703_-_Conversation_and_Interview_-_New_York
We Find~
Prabhupāda: So you will be initiated, that’s nice. So anyone or any one of you, when you agree to follow the regulative principles, and if you are recommended by our men, then you can also be initiated. It is not difficult. Initiation is formality.
First of all you have to decide whether you will abide by the rules and regulation and become Kṛiṣhṇa conscious. That is your consideration. You have to think yourself whether you are going to take seriously this Kṛiṣhṇa consciousness. It is your decision. Initiation is formality.
If you are serious, that is real initiation. So if you have understood the Kṛiṣhṇa philosophy, and if you have decided that you will take Kṛiṣhṇa consciousness seriously and preach the philosophy to others, that is your initiation. My touching is simply formality. It is your determination that is initiation.

    Hare krishna Prabhuji.,Dandvat Pranaam
May i know about the author of the book”Srila Prabhupada Lilamrita As It Is” named mukund das prabhu.Had he any personal association with Srila Prabhupada.

    • This book is a compilation of direct quotes from Srila Prabhupada speaking about his own life. The author is Srila Prabhuapda, all Mukunda did was compile the quotes and he did a good job of it. He wrote a bit of rubbish on the last 2 pages but apart from that he did not write a single word in the book. It is a collection of Prabhupada quotes and the author of this book is Srila Prabhuapda.

  2. Vamshi says:

Prabhu Madhudvisa Dasa.Is Jagannath Krishna himself or is just an expansion of Krishna like Vishnu,Rama etc.In Iskcon lectures I heard that Jagannath is Krishna himself, they have proved this by saying a story from Skanda purana. Is this true or Iskcon lectures are just bogus?I found no video Prabhupad talking aboyt Lord Jagannath.Oh Prabhu kindly answer my doubts.Hare Krishna

    • Yes. Lord Jagannatah is Krishna Himself. It is Jagannatha [Krishna] Balarama and Krishna’s sister Subhadra.

So Jagannatha is deity form of Krishna. He is representation of Krishna with His brother Balarama and sister Subhadra,

It is deity manifestation of Krishna, Balarama and Lady Subhadra,

  3. tanu says:

    Jai Govind

I request you clear my doubts.I understand the complexities of life processes, cellular mechanisms and other natural phenomenon cannot be explained solely by reasoning and scientific theories as somewhere or other our knowledge is limited.I am a science student nd nature lover. After reading the article posted by you regarding the concept of the origin of life,a question arisen in my mind that krishna is all powerful, then, why he designed this universe in this complicated way?,why life originated? why he made all that dna etc matter space?what is his true nature? why are we given these bodies these reasoning abilities?why krishna waited for billions of years and made us take birth here?why prakrati and purush got seperated? who were those dinosaurs etc for souls are eternal were those dinosaurs primitive and other organisms we only? are there any planet lest earth having life?why will happen atlast for we are ultimately destined to reach our eternal govind? why doesn’t he appears now and clear all these doubts for one thing is sure that if even he messages in some ways we will submit to him?why krishna is so naughty why has he made everything complicated?I know these are childlish questions but still worthy to be answered…..

I am a krishana devotee.I feel as if there is pure love for him deep in my heart. But at the same time I do believe in science.Sometimes i find myself stuck in between science emotions belief and devotion.I want to understand my Govind,I want to understand myself.

I request my friends to please give answer to these questions.I hope i will get atleast answers of a few questions as i found this site quite appealing.

    thankyou!
    Radhe krishna

    • Hare Krishna Jai Govind

To clear your doubts you have to become Krishna conscious. Because unless you become Krishna conscious you will not be able to understand what Krishna consciousness is and you will remain continually bewildered.

All these questions are irrelevant. You seem to accept that Govinda exists, that He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Now you have to just surrender to the idea that you are His servant. And then you need to find out practically how you can engage in the service of Krishna. And to find out how to do this you need to read Srila Prabhupada’s books. And in the process of becoming Krishna conscious all your other questions will automatically be answered.

The scientists can not understand anything. They only have very fragmental information about everything they study. The information we can gather through our material senses is very limited. There are so many things we can not perceive through our material senses. So they can not understand what they can not perceive.

So instead of just speculating all these questions and being bewildered like this it is better to just admit that in our conditioned state with our very limited mind and our material senses we can not hope to understand Krishna or even this material world which is created ultimately by Krishna.

The way to understand these things is to become Krishna conscious. We can not understand without becoming Krishna conscious.

So you have to learn how to become Krishna conscious… That is the answer to all your questions. And Krishna consciousness is a science and that science is very elaborately presented in the books of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!

      Madhudvisa dasa
