Thank you for your letters. I recently travelled to India hoping to see a swami I met long ago in USA. When I arrived at the temple he was in Vrindaven so our paths did not cross. Then I saw that he would be here in USA, so I made plans to go across the country to see him and now find out he will not be there, so once again our paths will not cross. The reason I am writing you about this is because my heart is so heavy. It feels like the pain of separation from a parent. Please tell me is this pain Im feeling separation from Krishna? am I too attached to this swami?
is there an obvious reason this keeps happening? is it just life or I am not meant to cross paths with this person again

I am always so happy to receive your writings. I have been cooking for my husband every day (since november) as you suggest. It has been a difficult transition, because he has always been “in charge” of the kitchen, but he has reluctantly accepted this change.
Funny story… yesterday he wanted to have a big old fashioned breakfast, so he cooked up pancakes, potatoes and bacon! I was disappointed, but I just kept quiet. So now he sits down to eat his breakfast and I look at the stove and see the bacon still sitting there. So I ask him if he is ashamed to eat in front of me, and he starts laughing because he actually forgot to eat his bacon! We were laughing so hard because it was such a whole thing to cook this, and he was so looking forward, and then he forgot! Do you think his consciousness is changing or is it possible krishna played a trick on him…

I read each word of your writing about Krishna Prasad. I worry about this everyday because
my husband is a non-veg chef and so I would have to cook every meal for us to eat prasad every time is this correct? Or can he cook and as long as it is how Krishna likes, ( no meat eggs fish mushroom, onion garlic…) then is can be offered. How bad is it to cook with onion garlic and mushrooms? should this food be offered?

Hare krishna. When you say one should serve the deities and pray to the deities, does you mean to pray knowing that the deity is really Krsna or praying and serving the deities as symbols of Krsna. If the deities are really Krsna then is Ksna really the picture I have? I have heard that Krsna is non different from the books, images and deities, but can you further explain what that means?

Hare Krishna Sara!
I am reading the book KRSNA written by Swami Prabhupada.
Is this a good book to start? It was given to my husband and I as a wedding gift.
It has been years. I could never read it before, but now I cant put it down.
I am so happy.

Why does God care
if we chant 16 rounds everyday. Is this chanting for our benefit or for Krisha?

when I chant my rounds, is it okay if I say in my head as I touch each bead,
or do i have to say out loud for it to count? I say to my self because my throat gets sore
from so many rounds.

Hare Krishna Madhudvisa dasa,
I understand about pure devotees leading kirtan, but here are no devotees leading any kirtans anywhere around here. So now what?

Thank you for telling me about the mantras. I will do the Srila Prabhupada Pranati the Panca-tattva Maha-mantra and the Hare Krsna Maha-mantra everyday.
I am learning so much from your writings. I am very much looking forward to your next writing.

If Prabhupada is my guru, how can that be if I never met him?

Thank you for this information about chanting hare krishna.
I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TOLD THAT THE HARE KRISHNA MANTRA IS ALL YOU NEED.
So if we should only chant hare krishna, does this mean not even any mantras at kirtan LIKE the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra GAYATRI MANTRA? Does this mean also not to do the Hanuman Chalisa either? OR ARE THESE okay?

Hare Krishna. I do not have a spiritual master. Should I chant hare krishna anyway, and will that be like surrendering to krishna even with out a guru?
