Of course Krishna is famous as ‘Govinda’, the friend of the cows. It seems to us to be very strange that when God comes to this earth He chooses to appear as a cowherd boy in the small village of Vrindvan in India. KRSNA Book is a very interesting book full of action and adventure so it is a great pleasure to read. And because the subject matter is the glorification and description of the pastimes of the Supreme Personality of Godhead reading KRSNA Book is very beneficial and has a purifying effect on the consciousness.
The complete cost of printing this two-volume KRSNA Book set in 1970 was paid by George Harrison of the Beatles and there is a Forward from George Harrison in the front of the book.
About the Author
Madhudvisa dasa My first contact with a Hare Krishna was a most merciful Mataji in Oxford Street, London who sold me a "Higher Taste" cook book in 1984 while I was on holidays there. I started seriously reading Srila Prabhupada's books in Australia 1985 and by 1986 Srila Prabhupada had convinced me "Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead" and "we should surrender to Krishna." I joined the Hare Krishnas in Perth, Western Australia in 1986. Since then I have been chanting Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare, reading and distributing Srila Prabhupada's books and preaching as much as I can. That's my life and full-time occupation now really. I like it more than anything I've ever experienced before. Srila Prabhupada's books are so amazing... Even after reading them all many times they're still fresh and new. They are truly transcendental! That's it really. Now I'm just hankering to once again see the world chant Hare Krishna, dance and feast and float away in the ecstasy of Lord Caitanya's Sankirtana movement as it did in Srila Prabhupada's physical presence. Let the whole world drown in the ecstatic flood of love of Krishna!

krsna is not only the supreme personality of godhead, he is the only personality of godhead. all other religions are false and baseless and their followers shall be cast into abominable hell for eternity by the supreme lord as has been explained so succinctly by lord krsna in the bhagavad geeta..this has been proved by the miracles that he has enacted not only during his descent to goloka five thousand years ago but also by virtue of his endless miracles touching the lives of millions of devotees till today. however for this an abiding faith amounting to total and abject surrender is a sine quo non.haribol.hare krsna.all glories to one and all iskcon.
Krishna is not the only Personality of Godhead. Otherwise why is Krishna called the “Supreme” personality of godhead. Godhead has many different personalities. For example Lord Ramacandra, He is also a Personality of Godhead, but He is not the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Nrsimhadeva, He is a Personality of Godhead, but not the Supreme Personality of Godhead. I wanted to ask why do higher beings like demigods and gandharvas do not interact with humans these days?
Like we can see in Srimad Bhagwatam flowers were showered on King Parikshit from heaven but that was also Kaliyuga(though just the begining)…
Recently also great souls like Srila Prabhupada have done unparalleled service to the Supreme Lord Krishna but no heavenly event has been traced…
Why is it so??
No Prabhu, in the Kali-yuga the humans these days can not see the demigods as they did sometimes in the Vedic times. You can check out:

It’s not that the demigods can’t come, they can come here if they want to, but, generally speaking, in the Kali-yuga, with is planet full of demons performing all sorts of sinful activities, the demigods have not got any desire to come to the earth at the moment. You will notice in the Vedas the times the demigods did come was when the great brahmanas and sages were performing auspicious sacrifices. But now, in Kali-yuga there are no qualified brahmanas and no proper Vedic sacrifices being performed. So demigods have no interest in coming here.
And even if the demigods did come here, we, the ordinary unqualified people, we will not be able to see them. As the normal conditioned souls can not see Krishna, although Krishna is here, they also can’t see the demigods.
The demigods have got essential roles to play in the management and operation of the material world, they are free to travel within the material world, so obviously some of them are coming here and observing and managing the situation, but we can’t see them.
These days it might be more likely that the demons are visiting… And demons also, they have great technology and mystic powers. So they also, generally, will not be visible to us.

Lord Krishna is the supreme God and is the true master to lead us in our worldly affairs.
Actually yes and no. Yes. Lord Krishna is the Supreme God and the true master. But He is not at all interested in leading us in our worldly affairs. Actually Krishna wants us to turn our attention away from our worldly affairs as such material activities only create bondage to the material world and cause us to be forced to take birth again in the material world and suffer perpetually. Krishna actually wants to guide us so that we can engage all our activities in His service. It does not mean that we will give up all material activities as while we have a material body then the necessities of the material body like eating, sleeping, mating and defending, have to go on. But Krishna wants to guide us, through his pure devotee spiritual master, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, how we can live in the material world in such a way that our every action is performed in love and devotion and for Krishna.
This science is described in Srila Prabhupada’s books very perfectly. Please get them and read them.

I think we have enough circumstancial evidence to show that there was an advance vedic civilisation that existed it ancient times, just look up Praveen Mohan on YouTube. Some of his videos are mind-blowing.
The Vedas are proof that there was an advanced Vedic civilisation in ancient times. The Vedic literatures are the most advanced perfect literatures in existence. Such advanced literatures can not exist unless there was an advanced civilisation that produced and appreciated them.

Actually this sort of “preaching” that Praveen is doing is nice, in a sense, but actually more-or-less useless. It is actually quite obvious that there was a very advanced ancient Vedic civilisation but the scientists, the Western world, etc, they will not accept it. They think they are the most advanced civilisation that ever existed and the ancient Vedic culture was primitive cave dwelling monkey-like creatures… Of course that is impossible. They built so many wonderful structures, produced the Vedas which are the supreme literary works not matched by anything else in existence, even today.
Real successful preaching is if we can ourselves become pure devotees of Krishna and understand and explain Srila Prabhupada’s books to the conditioned souls so they understand the spiritual aspect of the ancient Vedic culture. The material aspect may be a little interesting for some, the buildings, the alignment of the temples, the gold things that look like airplanes, etc, etc, etc. But this is not the purpose or the essence of the Vedic culture. These are just external things. The real point is that we are all eternal spirit souls and we are not the material bodies and we are actually servants of Krishna and we are suffering perpetually here in the material world in an unrelenting cycle of birth, old age, disease and death, over and over and over again… So the real Vedic culture is the science of how to elevate our consciousness so we can escape from this painful cycle of birth and death and go back home, back to Godhead.

The files on the server are OK but are very large. Most likely your download did not complete and you do not have the whole file. So I suggest just decide on what book you plan on reading now and try and download it again from a device with a good internet connection.

How about Civilization and Transcendence? Is it an original Prabhupada book?
Civilization and Transcendence I am not sure really. It was published by BBT long after Srila Prabhupada left his body. I really do not know exactly were it came from. If you read in the book the BBT may tell you were it came from. It is very difficult to trust any of these new books printed by BBT because they make so many unauthorized changes. I read the books that were published when Srila Prabhupada was personally present. I do not read this Civilization and Transcendence because I can not trust it. It is most likely quite good but we can not trust the BBT unfortunately.

It is a large file, that is probably why you are having trouble with it. If you try with a different, better, internet connection you should be able to download it. The file is correct on the server. So I think it has to be your internet connection.

Part 1 of ‘Krsna Book’ only opens half of the file and Part 2 shows only the first page/cover page. It is showing blank page and displays the message ‘Insufficient data for image’. What should I do Prabhu.

I am a class 9 student. Recently, my parents bought me the ‘Krsna’ book and I liked it very much.
I had read Srimad Bhagvatam before reading that. I would like to lend that book to my friend but I wanted to ask whether I could lend her the book directly without her having read Srimad Bhagvatam?
…… Because throughout Srimad Bhagvatam ,Prabhupada has warned us not to mis-intepret some(rasa- lila part) parts. So is it appropriate to give her the book (Krsna) directly? Moreever, she freely mixes with boys but I am sure she will like that book.
Please clear my doubts.

Yes. Srila Prabhupada’s Krsna Book explains the pastimes of Krishna in Vrindavan so nicely that anyone can read it. One does not have to have read anything else before reading Srila Prabhupada’s Krsna book.

There is only 2 books in Krsna Book. It was originally printed as 2 books. Later the devotees split it into 3 books. But original is only 2 books.
When will Brahma Samhita be scanned?
