Krsna consciousness is not an artificial imposition on the mind. This consciousness is the original energy of the living entity. When we hear the transcendental vibration, this consciousness is revived.
As explained on the cover of the record album, this transcendental vibration–by chanting of Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare–is the sublime method for reviving our Krsna consciousness. As living spiritual souls we are all originally Krsna conscious entities, but due to our asociation with matter since time immemorial, our consciousness is now poluted by material atmosphere. In this polluted concept of life, we are all trying to exploit the resources of material nature, but actually we are becoming more and more entangled in our complexities. This illusion is called maya, or hard struggle for existence over the stringent laws of material nature. This illusory struggle against the material nature can at once be stopped by revival of our Krsna consciousness.
Krsna consciousness is not an artificial imposition on the mind. This consciousness is the original energy of the living entity. When we hear the transcendental vibration, this consciousness is revived. And the process is recommended by authorities for this age. By practical experience also, we can perceive that by chanting this maha-mantra, or the Great Chanting for Deliverance, one can at once feel transcendental ecstasy from the spiritual stratum. When one is factually on the plane of spiritual understanding, surpassing the stages of sense, mind and intelligence, one is situated on the transcendental plane. This chanting of Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare is directly enacted from the spiritual platform, surpassing all lower states of consciousness–namely sensual, mental and intellectual. There is no need of understanding the language of the mantra, nor is there any need of mental speculation nor any intellectual adjustment for chanting this maha-mantra. It springs automatically from the spiritual platform, and as such, anyone can take part in this transcendental sound vibration, without any previous qualification, and dance in ecstasy.
We have seen it practically. Even a child can take part in the chanting, or even a dog can take part in it. The chanting should be hears, however, from the lips of a pure devotee of the Lord, so that immediate effect can be achieved. As far as possible, chanting from the lips of a nondevotee should be avoided, as much as milk touched by the lips of a serpent causes poisonous effect.
The word Hara is a form of addressing the energy of the Lord. Both Krsna and Rama are forms of addressing directly the Lord, and they mena ” the highest pleasure, eternal.” Hara is the supreme pleasure potency of the Lord. This potency, when addressed are Hare, helps us in reaching the Supreme Lord.
The material energy, called as maya, is also one of the multipotencies of the Lord, as much as we are also marginal potency of the Lord. The living entities are described as superior energy than matter. When the superior energy is in contact with inferior energy, it becomes an incompatible situation. But when the supreme marginal potency is in contact with the spiritual potency, Hara,it becomes the happy, normal condition of the living entity.
The three words, namely Hara, Krsna and Rama, are transcendental seeds of the maha-mantra, and the chanting is a spiritual call for the Lord and His internal energy, Hara, for giving protection to the conditioned soul. The chanting is exactly like a genuine cry by the chold for the mother. Mother Hara helps in achieving the grace of the supreme father, Hari, or Krsna, and the Lord reveals Himself to such a sincere devotee.
No other means, therefore, of spiritual realization is as effective in this age, as chanting the maha-mantra, Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.

Actually i am the student of and as well as a devotee of iskcon… in my family only i love krishna no other love krishna and don’t know that the krishna is the suprime personality of god head and don’t believe that… but i really love iskcon and my only goal is to go back godhead… to achieve this goal the help i need is from Srila prabhupada words and iskcon devotees who can take me in right path to achieve this goal…

There is a tremendous power in Gods name. Chant his name everytime or plainly remember Him with a lots of love and respect and one by one things will start changing for better. Live like your purpose of life is to Serve Him. Think that he is your Boss / Friend / Mother / Father / Son.., whatever works for you to cultivate LOVE for him. That is why it is said “Love is the most Powerful thing there is!”.
You will then be helped automatically and your life will get better and better. There will be no time to complain because you will be busy rejoicing in the good things that come to you
Be a Spiritual warrior! Fight with the enemies of your mind i.e. Anger, etc..and Invite friends into your mind like Helping others, etc.

I am sorry for not giving my name here.
I am married since 10 moths and 6 months pregnant.
After mariage my dreams was shattered and Now after preganat I am feeling depressed with what is currently happening and What had happend in past.
I was a good daughter and these days due to what is happening with me in my life I have lost my temper I show this on may loving parents which I never did or had in past.
I am feeling all this will affect my baby’s growth, By Lord Krishna’s grace I want to bring a healthy and happy baby to this world.
I keep praying to God. I jsut want to come out of this depressed feeling. Can anyone please help me? Give me any Ashram or any place which will help me in this.

No ashram or holy place can help you…they will be a tempreary help…if u want a permanent solution then start enchanting lord krishna’s name…he’s resides inside ur soul..take his name and all ur problems will get solved…read gita our book everyday..problems and situations never change but gods name gives u a lot of strentgh to fight eith the unwanted situations…ull be a better person after this and more capable to help others like u…hare krishna…

… I m always good from my heart but still why?? … ppl doing all evil are always getting what they want n me nothing… they r influencing my husband also.. he is also not happy nethier me … m not telling god shud punish them but y he is not giveing me what i want??
I had never hurt anyone knowingly or unknowingly but I dont understand y god is still punishing me.. what is the sin i have done… I am not getting the love, respect and affection which I am suppose to get as a wife what all gets…
I am used to impress all at family which is hurting my emotions which is in turn frustrating me… since whatever i try doing to please or just follow what my duties are.. the goodness are never recognized rather some faults are found to prove me wrong by my family mem but this does not happen in front of me..
My better half also condems me infront of his family to show his contro, over me… which again pulls me down… i keep chanting gods name at all these scenarios… close to 2.6 years till now i hve not got a solution for this… My dad says its my karma which i have to clear in this janma n must undergo this… but till when 3 years is not enough for my Karma..
With the depressed feeling i had also committed suicide… i know this is not correct but i cud not bear the situation,….

When was the last time you say anybody in transcendental ecstasy? When did you experience ecstasy? Let’s get real people! The estimated 120,000 people who have taken initiation into the holy name are not feeling ecstasy, some even after 20 years of practice. You can go to any temple and there is no ecstasy from Maha Mantra. So where is this ecstasy that SP is talking about? If it was available the world would be a different place, ISKCON would be a different place.
The holy name has not lost it’s potency at all. It is fully potent and you can feel that transcendental ecstasy from the spiritual stratum. But only, as Srila Prabhupada goes on to say, if you hear it from the lips of a pure devotee and if you are careful to avoid the chanting of the non-devotees. ISKCON temples are full of demons posing as devotees and if you go there you are not going to hear from a pure devotee and you will certainly hear from many non-devotees chanting Hare Krishna. So you will not find any spiritual ecstasy at ISKCON, that is certain. But if you hear from Prabhupada, surrender to Prabhupada and follow his instructions then when you chant Hare Krishna you will feel that transcendental ecstasy from the spiritual stratum…
