Prabhupada Festival Los Angeles 2004 — Memorial Day Weekend
This year continues a thirteen year tradition for the Prabhupada Festival. The festival is for the glorification of Srila Prabhupada, and every year devotees travel to New Dvaraka for this purpose. The festival will be held on May 29th & 30th, 2004.
During the festival many devotees share their personal pastimes with Srila Prabhupada. We also gather for ecstatic kirtans, feasts, bhajans and for a deeper understanding of Prabhupada’s instructions.
Where will the Prabhupada Festival be Held?
The Prabhupada Festival is held every year in Los Angeles, California at ISKCON New Dwarka. New Dwarka was visited many times by Srila Prabhupada and is known as the World Headquarters for ISKCON. This was one of the first temples built in the United States and his personal quarters stand as a monument of pure devotion to Lord Krishna. The deities worshiped in New Dwarka are Sri Sri Rukmini Dwarkadisha, Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai and Lord Jagannatha, Lord Balarama, and Lady Subadra. They are worshiped on a strict and oppulent standard personally set by Srila Prabhupada.
